  1. I vote we call the band Remington and the Angry Women with Guns.
  2. Wow. I'm satisfied now. That's true. Destruction doesn't have much happiness. Aw well. Maybe just something less nasty than Red/Nighthound. Eh. The Destructors aren't too awful to the citizens. They just destroy the leadership (which is all Epics in Connell) and take control of the city, appropriating whatever they decide that they need. Random slaughters don't happen all that often.
  3. I'm slightly curious, yes. So, um, I'm slightly worried about the Portland thread. Everything in there is so awful (content-wise, not writing) recently. Does anyone have anything good to post there? None of my characters are up. Also, expect a three-way collabo post about the Destructors in Connell, WA soon.
  4. You can't just leave us hanging like that. ...I feel like there's a story behind this one.
  5. He was warned not to follow Wilson blindly into trusting bartbugs. Woah. I wouldn't say I have a threat level anywhere near you. I don't think I'm even Holy-Batman level on anyone's lists. I'm a decent player, but I definitely don't think I'm as good as you three, especially on Team Evil.
  6. Hey, Joe, I think now is a good time for a Reckoners post. I need something good to happen in Portland after Timeport/Quota and Nighthound/Red. Yes, please. How old is this girl? Can she please be picked up by the Reckoners? What about a girl?
  7. Maill, similar to Vron, received a letter from his cousin cobbler warning him against blindly following any sons of Wil, especially when they are following after a bug from Bart. He was slightly confused by that, but then met Wilson and it all clicked into place. I was pretty sure I knew what you were talking about, but I had to go and check to be sure. Yep. You just stole Chid's role from LG3. I had a a good time with that RP, but that was with Maw, who was one of my favorites(partially because of his being a Tineye.). Maill is a lot more suspicious, arrogant, and rude. "Hey guys! Sorry I'm late. You remember me, right? It's me, Chidden! Well I wanted to announce to you all that I've decided to be a HERO. That's right. I'm turning fifteen next week, and because I'm good and old now, I think it's high time I save the world. I fashioned this dueling cane here, see, and I plan on becoming a mighty warrior. I know Maw! I already said I was sorry for ruining your fig tree to make my cane. I promised I would pay you back. You don't have to embarrass me in front of the whole village. " Hero's here! Welcome back, honorary Tineye! It's good to have you back. I was looking back and some of the older games and forgot about a lot of those previous players who had been a lot of fun. A lot of them haven't played in while. I'm actually slightly surprised you showed up to play, what with there being a Tineye role again.
  8. Very true, but that's not what Freq believes. Oh, of course. Wow. Remington is the Dalles' very own Badchull Epic Dictator assassin. He takes care of everyone who tries to take it over. It could still work with my idea. Freq could take it over, and then be assassinated, possibly by a man named after two rifles, and then Paladin could take it over. Another reader? YAY! "Hey, Remington?" "Yeah?" "Let's go back to town armed with our biggest guns and go out on the town for a night. I just have this feeling." "Me too. Let's go." And thus began the misery of Quota and Timeport. Why can't he take it? Couldn't he just go to the hangar and take it? Electro's done that. Yeah, that's about what we need to happen. Just a couple more posts probably.
  9. In honor of the original game, Maill, who happens to be a cobbler just like his late cousin by the same name, is seeking out these Spiked. Hopefully, he isn't deceived by any clever beetles.
  10. Flying pigs, colorful explosions, soon a dragon, and lightning bolts! That's what I call a light show! What art are you using, Winter? I, for one, would like to see any art of my particular characters. But, actually, they don't interact with Nathan much, at least not until later. About the Dalles, what do you guys think if Freq actually did manage to regain control of the city for a little while? I don't think it would have to be a lot, but I think it would be interesting to have him "return the city to Koschei" and then be driven out of town or assassinated. The Deathless thing doesn't apply to him.
  11. Wow. That was the most level headed, rational discussion about this that I have ever seen, online or in person. I applaud you all and am once again reminded of the awesomeness that is 17th Shard.
  12. As Frequency stood atop the old apartment building, he watched the panda attacks take place. He kept the national guard's radio frequency in his mind as well, listening to their panic as they were attacked. The black and white bears had sent in flying pigs with baskets of angry squirrels. The Epic in charge of this assault had style, Frequency admitted. An assault of animals. The more he deliberated whether or not to contact and join him, the more he realized that this panda would likely want to populate this city with his black and white brethren and he was obviously more than capable of taking the city. Frequency decided that he would first need to help the government of the Dalles defeat this panda Epic before he would destroy them to claim this city again for Koschei. He'd need some assistance to do that though. He had made some friends in various nearby cities when he had been hiding out after Koschei's death. He used his mobile to contact three of them. They had formed a sort of triumvirate of rule in a triangle around the Dalles. Blitz in Wasco, to the east, Terraform in Wishram to the north, and Canis in Hood River to the west. All three ruled their small towns, nothing much, but then, their powers weren't superior to many Epics. They worked together to govern their territory. None of them had wanted to take on the Dalles, first with Koschei's powerful rule and then with Vondra's steel grip on the city. With Frequency's help though, they could be enough to take over the city. Blitz would be the last one here, most likely. His powers weren't suited to quick transportation. He'd have to drive here. He could summon lightning from the sky or shoot bolts from his hands, which made him the most combat suited of the three Epics. He was in charge of defenses and the militia of the three cities. Terraform could manipulate dirt. As long as it was fairly fine, she could control it. She occupied the city just north of the Dalles, across the river in Washington. She was the leader and coordinator of the trio. Canis was a speed Epic. He could move up to 150 miles per hour. He could also track anyone who's blood he had touched before. It was a requirement in Hood River, his city, for Canis to touch every person's blood. Hood River being next to the river, he was fast enough to run on the surface of the water and go quickly between the cities. He was in charge of communication between the three Epics and their towns. He knew exactly where Frequency was and so he'd be the one to get all three to Frequency's building. Frequency kept watching the city's battle as a colorful explosion happened somewhere to the west of his location. He had seen that before. Shiny Sparkle from Dallesport. He had been to that city briefly after Koschei's death. He had seen her in action a couple times, but never interacted with her. Frequency smelled a slight unpleasant stench of blood, dirt, and electricity. He turned to see Canis shutting the door to the roof after Blitz and Terra came up. He had, Frequency assumed, brought the two other Epics into the city with his speed so that the guards would miss them. "Hello, friends. Pleasure to see you again," Frequency greeted the trio. He kissed Terra's hand and smiled at the two male Epics. Canis's grin, which bothered most people, spread across his face as he spoke, "'Sup, Freq. We're taking the Dalles now?" "Canis, patience. We don't all move at such fast speeds. Frequency, it is wonderful to work with you again," Terra said. She was the rational one of the three. Frequency smiled at the woman. "It's okay. Canis, yes we are. The Dalles will come under our rule soon enough. But first, there's a new Epic here who thinks he can take this city as his own. He has an army of pandas, flying pigs, and squirrels. Some type of animal control or manipulation is likely his powerset. Once we drive him out of town, then we can take this city from the pathetic humans that attempt to control it." "Sweet!" Canis said. "Let's get to it." "First, we need to let these vanillas know we're here and we aren't under their control," Blitz said, speaking up for the first time. He had sparks of electricity jumping between his fingers and looked ready for battle, or maybe like he had just come out of battle. His shirt was singed and his face was burned. He had long ago shaved his head to stop his hair from burning and singeing when he summoned lightning. He wasn't harmed by his lightning, but his clothes didn't get the same protection and the heat still gave him slight burns. "I agree," Frequency smiled. "Will you do us the honors, Blitz?" Blitz nodded and his hands reached into the air. The sky above darkened as grey storm clouds gathered. A bolt of lightning struck in front of the building the four Epics were standing on. All of them had their ears covered as an almost instantaneous clap of thunder followed. They uncovered their ears as Blitz shot twin lightning bolts from his hands to the north, frying pigs in the sky. Terra joined in this spectacle, raising up dirt that was gathered at the base of the building. She created a wall of it in front of them. She then sent out tendrils, each grabbing pigs out of the air and smashing them to the ground. "Well done, my friends," Frequency said. "That will let them know that we're here and that we don't care for these pandas either. Now, humans that die during this battle are insignificant, but avoid killing the Epics of the Dalles. They may be useful to us." All three nodded and Canis burst off, ready to fight. Terra smiled at Frequency as she used some dirt to carry her to the ground. Only Blitz was left with Frequency. "Let's go get these guys," Blitz said grimly. Frequency nodded and headed towards the ground floor of the building.
  13. Oh, let's make it 150 mph, just for an even number then.
  14. Oh I see what you mean. Yes, I'll add that restriction. He might enhance his speed when fighting a little bit, just to dodge and get his hits in quicker, but it won't be anything crazy fast that would break his bones. No, I knew what I meant. I added some speed to the 200 kmh you said. His speed will have a maximum of 175 mph.
  15. I think I will name him that. That's true. Freq just happened to show up right before Panda did. Now it's more urgent for him to take it over. So ~175 mph sound good? What restriction do you mean? Storing and tapping? But, yes, he'll be a fast fighter. I might make it so that his mind lags behind a but so it's hard for him to fight at top speed. True. Freq also wants to city to survive. Which means that his band will be fighting off the Pandas as well and then taking on the city officials and Vondra. Well, we needed something besides Portland.
  16. You'd have to ask Voidus. Those are copied straight from his doc. I think I'll be changing that name, since I didn't get it either. Any name suggestions? I'm thinking Blitz, Zeus, Thor, or something like that. Opinions or other ideas? Well Freq was already there, but yeah, I guess. These guys are somewhat powerful, but none have PIs. Hmm. How fast does he need to go to run over water? 50 mph faster than that. I do. Nothing big though. Just visiting with family who lives in the area. What about you?
  17. Sounds good. After you post, I'll have Altermind do that in my next post. Also, I'm claiming these guys to work with Freq in the Dalles. Sound good? Scorpion: Lightning Epic, can shoot bolts of Electricity from his hands or summon a bolt of lightning from the sky. Canis: Speed Epic, capable of high speed movement and combat. Can trace people through their blood if he has ever touched it, up to a distance of approximately 100km Terraform: Geokinesis, can manipulate fine dirt, has trouble with anything too solid. (Faultlines first power)
  18. That sounds good. Also, what do you think of Altermind giving Lightwards a mobile that has a direct connection to his own, for future, quick contact?
  19. Sounds legit. Except Altermind isn't Chinese. Like Voidus said, Don't let Altermind profane that song! But it would be hilarious. The MEE attack is pretty much stagnating where it is until we decide that the meeting has gone far enough for Altermind to get word. Once he does, he'll send some of the others back, but he won't leave himself unless it's necessary.
  20. Seriously. I applaud you Seonid. Kobold, you should see the stuff I got on the Nessei people to write my character. There's so much info for it. And I got a bunch of info on Mages and their power. Wasn't it Voidus?
  21. Anyone have any specific ideas for things for Khuvlai to do in Menkor? Or does anyone want to meet him?
  22. Since it does count and we know that with over ten tributes there will be a guaranteed death by Mutt, we should definitely focus on killing them for at least the second cycle, if not more. If we do have ten people alive, we can get rid of the mutts almost in one cycle. (we could if everyone did so, but I doubt that'll happen.) Mill for one is going to go for the mutts at the beginning as well as run to the forest as quick as his legs can carry him. (Which is pretty fast. ) EDIT: You mean if a group of the more experienced players banded together? It's possible, but I don't think anybody limited conversations to only experienced or only new players. I have a mix
  23. I'm thinking Lightwards down the road, but I can see Funtimes too.
