Frequency watched as the three citizens crawled out of the totaled van, two men and a woman, then started walking toward him. They each sported a cut on the cheek from Canis's incision and a few other lacerations from the broken windows. One had large bruises on his arms and neck. He seemed to be moving a bit stiffer than normal. Frequency wondered what could cause such massive bruising. "My friends and I are just passing through this town, so I'm afraid we don't have a home or a fight here. Nor do we remember you or Koschei. My name is Planeshift, and these are Memori and Current Event. Pleased to meet you," the bruised man said. Their names sounded very Epic-like. Were these poorly dressed cowards Epics after all? "Epics, then?" Frequency asked. "You are cowards. Get out of the Dalles. Immediately." Frequency whistled and the second man's right eardrum burst. He then clapped loudly in the direction of the three weaklings. They stumbled back at the force and the one with the ruptured eardrum fell to the ground. Frequency leaned on his cane and stared the three down, Blitz standing behind him with lightning crackling between his fingers, Terra standing stately to the side, and Canis grinning that canine-like grin of his, dried blood on his arms. "He will have seen." Lucy said "We should stick to our assigned area. Provide air support for the troops." Edgerunner nodded as she hovered in the air, half her weight falling up and half falling down. Lucy mounted her griffin, as a tattoo crawled down her arm where it became a short sword in her hand. Edgerunner liked the medieval feel. She herded preferred her knives to any kind of gun. She had her emergency two-shot pistol in her boot, like always, but she'd only ever used it once. Her knives and powers usually did the job just fine. Scribbler, on her griffin, flew up into the air, meeting Edgerunner in the sky. As Edgerunner looked down, she saw pandas and some other animals swarm into the city. "Let's get them," she said to Scribbler. Edgerunner I moved all her gravity in the direction of a group of pandas. She whipped out both knives and slashed the ears off of two pandas as she reversed her fall back up into the sky. She increased the friction on the various weapons the pandas wielded, so that they became extremely difficult to move. She dive bombed the black and white bears repeatedly, leaving five motionless lumps of fur in the streets. Now that they were dead, Edgerunner decreased the friction on the bodies and shoved them down various streets, causing them to collide with other living pandas. Thery slid like hockey pucks over the asphalt road.

Oh, the pug puppies will still be just as cute and lovable, they just have security measures built in. Freq and Edge post going up now.

Thanks. Maybe it can be Unnamed KickChull Scarred for Life Girl's puppy's name. (Though, because I've been rereading Ender stuff, Petra has a strong connotation in my mind with Petra Arkanian.)

Obviously we do. There's what, three or four of us in this RP. And Brandon himself is one too. Wow. I just looked it up and dang, those are cute. Sam will need that after having a conversation with Altermind. Not to mention her mom is Lightwards' hostage and a family friend was turned into a zombie. That would be awesome!! I hope not. I dont want those puppies to be controlled by any one other than a gifter. Hali and Petra are two Greek names Chi would possibly have named her. Or Filia, which means friendship or Philomena(or some nickname) which means strong friendship. Those are just names that Chi would've used. By no means do you have to. Edit: Yours are much better pug names.

Hey, Lightsworn, did you see Edge and my comments about the number of animals the Panda has? Lucky!!! Happy early birthday to both of you! Oh, she's definitely getting one. I think a husky is the one she's getting. There were a little more than thirty. I added the pugs specifically for you, Twi. Sounds good to me. Well, Chi uses Greek names, but totally understandable if Sam doesn't. I got it! I just wasn't on. I've got one just about ready to post with Freq and Edgerunner. Newan, I was thinking that the pandas could show up in the next Fugitive post and Freq can enlist their help killing the pandas and then they'll get the fugitives to a car. What do you think?

Gaston also has the power of believing that everyone loves him and that he is better looking than he really is. Sort of a self-induced hallucination. Mulan: Enhanced reflexes and ability to change her appearance. Pinocchio: Similar to Growthspurt's powers, but they apply only to living things. Sleeping Beauty: The ability to fall asleep at will.

Then Sam can definitely find a puppy. Their claws, which are really talons, are retractable, yes. They don't look any different from the different trait mixing(eg speed and loyalty) though. The puppies still look like their original breed. So there'll be some Pomeranians, some pugs, some labs, etc. They're all a few months old, but will be smarter because of their connection with Chi.

So, then, yeah, the puppies wouldn't go that far, but if Funtimes and co. leave the Sadry's by going into the street first, we can definitely have one find Sam then or track her in the morning. (Definitely not the only one.) It'd also be funny to see the "Spider-Man" actor become a web-slinging Epic. Funny, ironic and a bit cheesy at the same time. But then creepy too, since it'd be evil versions of all the heroes.

I tried to emulate the ferry scene in TDK. As they're dogs, they'll mainly listen for sounds that remind them of whimpering or looks like a sad puppy. But, since Chi is influencing them, they will be looking for his definition of sad and needs help. For sad, mainly someone who lost someone close to them recently. For needs help, it'll be someone being threatened or attacked, particularly by Epics. The cottage is probably too far away for the puppies to go. It is out of town right? But, maybe when they leave the Sadry's. If you come up with a reason for them to leave the normal way.

Wow. That's another just as good idea. Either way, Disneyland is ruined. Sounds good. The only thing I see is, where did all of these hundreds of animals hide? And if he had so many, why wait?

XD I kinda forgot that not everyone knows. It'd make more sense from Sam's viewpoint though. Once I write up Altermind's next segment, do you want to have a short flashback with that stuff? Whoops. Pretend he was. That was just a brief list of some. I also didn't include Frozen, so maybe Flashpoint forgot to explain each of them. But there was a picture or at least a short power description written down. Cool! His part's up now. It's awful, but Chi's almost makes it worth it. Disneyland will never be the same. That's terrifying.

On the way back to the armory, Electro saw Quota and Timeport heading out on a different street. Timeport seemed to be in a particularly angry mood. Electro decided to ignore them for now. An uneven piece of concrete tripped Electro just before he reached the armory. Electro swore as he fell. The anger he had thought subdued after his "relaxation techniques" surfaced again. Someone would pay for it and they would pay now. Electro Scrambled everyone nearby, stopping the foot traffic immediately. Everyone looked around at each other confused. Electro grinned. "Good evening, children, ladies and gentlemen," he said loudly, with a strong coat of sarcasm. "Tonight you have the special privilege of being part of an experiment." Electro shot two beams of electricity, severing the heads of the couple who had tried to run. "I'm giving you a choice. As a group, you have five minutes to decide which of you will be sacrificed to me. The others will be let go immediately after. If you don't choose, I'll kill all of you. Anyone who tries to run will be killed instantly. Anyone who pulls out a weapon will be treated likewise. Five minutes begins now," Electro said. He watched as the people panicked. Another brave soul tried to escape, but like the others, was cut down immediately. Resistance petered out then. A few of the people, mainly senior citizen men and some people just into their twenties, stood off to the side, refusing to participate. One wore black gloves and held his fists in the air. Electro laughed at the sight and cut him down. "Two minutes left." The group of people had begun chattering more rapidly. Some were quiet and sadly choosing the ones most suited to death. There were a couple loudly advocating for the oldest person among them to be the sacrifice. A few nominated themselves. "Time's up," Electro said. An old woman, one of the ones who had nominated herself, hobbled forward on her cane. Many of the others looked at their feet, ashamed at their choice. A few stared at Electro with hate. A few cried. Others mumbled various prayers. "Take me," the elderly woman said. "These people have their lives still. I already lived mine." "Such a noble sacrifice we have here. You should all be ashamed of yourselves, letting this poor old lady be killed," Electro said. More of the people looked away. They were ashamed. Good. They should be. One of them might have been the dirty crook who had killed his father. Electro looked the old woman in the eyes. He strode over to her and lifted her chin. "So brave for someone so old," he said. "Pity you'll be dead soon. But not yet." Electro reached his hand out and cut through the spinal cord of the youngest girl he saw. She was probably nine or ten, that would serve his purposes well enough. The girl's legs crumbled and her torso fell to the ground, her corpse looking like some magician's saw act gone wrong. The people yelled angrily. Electro cut off the hands of the several people who dared to raise a gun. He was furious, which only enhanced his electromagnetic field. The two shots that had managed to be fired at him only veered away into the wall of the building behind Electro. "People, calm down. Your chosen lamb will be slaughtered, but since she was chosen as the sacrifice, she must endure the most. You may all leave now." A few began running, but bursts of electricity cut a leg off here and a foot off there, causing them to trip over themselves. The others were still in shock. "I said: leave. Now!" Electro bellowed. He hated when people were slow to listen. Finally, they seemed to get the message. They began walking down various alleys and side streets. Electro Scrambled them all again. They all stopped what they were doing. They had all started leaving except the father of the girl Electro had killed. He stood over the body of his daughter, hands trembling, eyes flaming, as he looked at Electro. Too easy, Electro thought. He cut the man's hair off and then his fingernails. Next, he sliced off the man's ears and big toes. The water of fear had replaced the fire of hate in the man's eyes. Electro kept the people in the streets Scrambled. He would deal with them in a minute. First this man. After the man fell to his knees, hardly recognizable, Electro turned to the people who had begun leaving. "You would really let this old woman die for you? Cowards. Get out of here." Electro gave them their bits of hope every time he spoke. He knew that each of them was secretly glad that they weren't the ones chosen to die. It was so easy to lead them on. They were like sheep. They fed right out of his hand. As people left, Electro killed or wounded each one. Arms, legs, fingers, noses, they all found their way to the concrete below. The old woman next to him that he had kept a grip on was sobbing. "I was supposed to be the sacrifice, not them. Let them go," she bawled. Just like a baby. Electro smiled. "Oh, you are the sacrifice, you endured the worst of it. Now leave me." He shoved her away and she fell to the ground. She pulled herself back up, slowly, with her cane, clutching her knee. It was probably broken. The others' bodies had clogged up the street corners and Electro watched as the woman picked her way over them, crying. He sent one last burst of power out, burning a lightning bolt into her neck. "Don't forget me." Electro wandered back in the direction he had seen Quota and Timeport go. He wondered if he could catch up to them. After Timeport left, Chi knew that Portland was in trouble. If people like that were only serving more powerful Epics, Portland was in bad shape. Chimera would do what he could to help. He spent the next hour or two first utilizing the gorillas, donkeys, rhinos, and guards to gather the materials they could to reinforce the wall. After the slaughter Timeport had committed against Chi's children, their numbers were less than would be desirable. Chi used some of the zoo's original creatures to create more Chimerans, these ones with even quicker reproductive systems. He called his contacts across the country and arranged for some new animals to be brought to him. Now, to help Portland's citizens, Chi gathered up the canines he had available. He combined the cuteness of puppies from different breeds: pugs, Pomeranians, labradors, beagles, and a few others. He gave them the speed of Great Danes, their claws became as sharp as a falcon's talons, the ferocity of wolves, and the loyalty of labs. He gave the few dozen new dogs the mental command to spread throughout the city and for each to find someone, especially children, who were very sad or needed help and to comfort and protect them. The pack of pups scrambled out the gates, eager to do their new duty. Chi smiled at the sight of the little puppies running out to help. Portland needed them. For his final creation of the day, Chi sketched exactly what he wanted in his sketchpad reserved for his most important creations. His tears fueled his art, as well as did his anger. Argo stood as a silent sentinel behind him. Chi knew Argo was grieving at least as much as he was. The sketch finally done, Chi used his powers. First, the hawk was combined to give its wings and talons replaced claws. Next, the fur was strengthened by the armadillo's shell underneath. Porcupine quills grew from the back. Chimera looked upon his newest creation with tears in his eyes. Kyreen looked so much like her mother. Only this time, Chi had added more safety precautions. Kyreen wouldn't be so brutally murdered. Argo let loose a loud roar of approval as he saw Kyrie's daughter become the fierce warrior who would replace her mother. She would never fill her mother's hole in Chimera's heart, but she would distract him from it. Chi smiled.

Snarky little Sam. I love it. Of course, Altermind wont. But he'll give her her chance. Twi and Mail-mi, do you mind if Electro meets up with Quota and Timeport? Twi, don't worry, you'll see your little attack dogs sent out by Chi soon enough. You might have to wade through Electro's cruelty first though.

Anniversary Game: In the Re-Wake of the Koloss
Mailliw73 replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So, you tell Hero that we need to vote and then say that you don't like to vote?? Awes in LG5. That is all. So, what, we're supposed to wait for the seeker to get lucky and in the meantime, hope we don't die? No thanks. Voting based on reasonings and posts is the best we can do if we aren't seekers. Aside from voting based of PM reasons, I suppose. We have to vote based off of the thread if we want to get anywhere. I say leave him alone. If he's resigning then, as a spiked, he can't hurt us, and as a villager, he gives us a slight buffer. -
Like Shiny Sparkle? I don't really think there are any other suspicious groups around, since they aren't going to see the lightning. Hmm, it'd be more like: "Cowards, just leave this place now." We don't have a car though. You just ruined ours. "We'll get you somewhere you can get a car, but getting it is up to you" Sound good to you? It's pretty much, here's the knife, I expect you to do something with it and free yourselves. (A reference to the Ender's Shadow series again. )

Ask and he shall receive. Tomorrow. Or Monday. Probably. Hmm. Now I don't know what to do with Edgerunner aside from slaughter more pigs. So if Frequency had Blitz shoot lightning right into Current's heart as a show of force, that'd be okay? And what'd happen next? I don't want an all out fight, so that Planeshift and Memori can escape, but Freq's not likely to let them go easily. Maybe he tells them to leave now like the cowards they are or join the fight, otherwise they'll be dead in an instant too. What do you think?

I'm curious about this pretty big bandwagon on Hero. Eol's bandwagon had at least some good reason. I'm not exactly sure why you guys are all piling on Hero like that, aside from the one reason of not wanting to vote. Ash, something about your post makes me suspect you. It feels like you have experience with what these Spiked would or wouldn't do. -
