  2. You aced the timing on that though, I've been receiving much more PMs around that time and since, and without that reminder, it likely could've gone bad for anyone PMing since roleclaims in PMs happen all the time. I would know, I always use that to my advantage.

  5. Lopen and Honey Badger are two who are, for some reason, sticking out to me. I'm putting my vote on Honey because even though they said that they support D1 lynches, they didn't throw out a vote. They said, "just lynch an inactive" and then didn't put a vote on an inactive even though they said that they won't be available for the rest of the day. That just doesn't line up at all. I'd also like to call out Vin Elendel to join us. He is on the Shard other places, just hasn't shown up here.

  7. Ah, you guys bring up good points about the roles I didn't even think of. Ren's enough of a troll that he'd spread like this that aren't immediately noticeable as helpful to the Eliminators. So I'd give them a Shardplate or two, but not a guardsman. Artifabrian, I'm still 50/50 on.
  8. I just read those last year. XD
  9. Alvom, I have to say, for a first day lynch, that's one of the best I've seen. Even if it's based off of RP, you explained that better than most, including myself, do. About Eliminator roles: I doubt they have an Ardent or Artifabrian, as they don't seem paricularly useful, but an Artifabrian is possible, but less likely. Since they already have a kill role and the corruption, I also doubt they have an assassin, that'd be a lot of kills. I do think they have a guardsman or shardplate though, and probably a courier and a world singer. Possibly a Con Artist too. If there are 5, I'd guess two Brightlords/ladies, possibly one with Shardplate, a con artist, world singer, and courier. You could replace one of the Brightlords with Shardplate for a Guardsman. With 6, I'd give it the same numbers, but with an additional roleless player.
  10. Thanks! The climax of the battle scene was written all by Mek, he left a spot for Alexio's dialogue and I was trying to think of sown thing he'd say, when that popped into my head. I realized it fit perfectly with his opinions of Epics, his Roman Gladiatorness, and his personality.
  11. Alex's wrap up is in. I don't plan on him becoming a main character, but if anyone else in Salem wants to use him for a fight or something, let me know. And, about that last line, it was in a book I just read for my first college class. It's about river rafting and described a stunt a rafter had done as "requiring...a hellacious set of balls." I thought it was a great line and wanted to use it. Hopefully it doesn't bother anyone too much, I know we're pretty tame in language here, though with Nighthound in Oregon, this is nothing.
  12. Raven, Kipper got it. Wilson is one of those who has a huge reputation here and is typically attacked early. I guessed she, Alvron, or I would get that vote. Kipper, it's a mix. Depends on the GM, but it's typically randomized and then adjusted to balance. Hael, I'll give you props for your PR work.
  13. Alex dropped out of the arena quicker than normal. "Sic semper tyrannis," he repeated with a grin. One more tyrant had failed to beat a regular human in the arena. Alex had taken it on as his personal goal to prove that Epics were not better than humans. Nothing made them innately better, only that damned red star that chose them for its own inexplicable reasons. Mouldbreaker had fallen to Alexio Maximus, Gladiator of Humans. Just as Starcross, Gunner, Flyboy, and so many others had. The top ranked human in the arena, below only the powerful Epics, and only then because Soulcaster wouldn't allow them to be embarrassed like that. "I'm sorry, sir, maybe next time," Rob's voice called as he walked past Alex's prep room. Alex stopped him outside his door. "What do you mean? We won, soldier!" "No, actually. You died seconds before ol' Mouldy did, so the big guy ruled it in his favor." "What?!" Alex roared. How had that storming fool beat him? He had seen the life fading from Mouldbreaker's body. He had killed him with his own hands. He had won. "I won! We won!" Rob backed up a step from Alex's fury. "Just come here, they're showing the replay on all the screens." Alex followed his squad leader into the large screening room where people could see the highlights of the most recent and popular fights. He watched as he killed Mouldbreaker, but as the video slowed down in the final seconds, Alex noticed a brown-skinned man in red leap off a ledge, driving a spear into Alex's back, killing him just before Mouldbreaker faded. "No." Alex couldn't believe it. He watched it over and over. He should've led his team to victory. He should've beat the tyrant. He should've claimed the victory. But he had failed. "Sorry, man. You'll be fine, Soulcaster only dropped you down two places and didn't even penalize your Dreamstate. He said it was a good fight," Rob consoled. Soulcaster hadn't penalized him much, but the Calamity-cursed layabout only cared for his entertainment. Alex cared for humanity. For equality. He fought for the humans, for those who were simultaneously lucky and unlucky not to have been bestowed with corrupt powers, for those who lived their lives in fear because of madmen. The fury raged indeed Alex's chest. Never again. He would never fail to an Epic again unless it killed him. For real, not the fake deaths of the arena. Rob broke the silence. "Alex, you all right? At least it wasn't an Epic who killed you. It was just Abdul, and he's a decent enough fellow. I've fought with him before." Alex paused. He had lost. But not to an Epic. It hadn't been a tyrannical madman who had killed him. It had been a human, just like him. Rob was right. Alex had been so focused on the tyranny, that he had been caught up in evil ideas himself. Abdul was what he was fighting for and what he fought against. The man had taken a death leap in order to win, in order to live. He had killed Alexio Maximus, not for glory, but to survive. Alex fought to show that humans could conquer evil and fought so men and women, someday, wouldn't have to. The real problem was Soulcaster. Instead of awarding a victory to the man who deserved it, Abdul, he showered a filthy tyrant with praise for sacrificing men and women in his place. Damnation Soulcaster. Damnation Mouldbreaker. Damnation every Epic to the deepest parts of hell. Damnation them for placing themselves above the rest instead of lifting the human race higher. And above all, damnation Calamity. Abdul deserved that win and in his victory, proved what Alex had been proving as long as he had fought in the arena: humans were not lesser than Epics. It just took a hellacious set of balls to prove it.
  14. P_2, that's awesome! Do you mind explaining how to use it to the more coding impaired?
  15. Showers? Why was I going to the shower? Mallan thought. The King's Wit was definitely smarter than him though, so Mallan thanked the man on the stool and walked in the direction he had pointed. Distracted by a rockbud, Mallan almost fell right into a pile of chull dung. That was close. He turned and went back to the feast, forgetting why he had come this way in the first place, dragging the tip of his slightly-too-large pant leg right through the dung. Why was the smell following him? He kept checking behind him, but the pile of dung was nowhere to be found. He ignored it, and sat back down to eat. Now which hand held the fork?
  16. I'm quite a bit like Elend with some Kaladin and some Dalinar thrown in. A bit of Renarin and a small part of Spook.
  17. Like some of you, I'm also left handed and yes, watches go on the right, that makes obvious sense. But I'm a weird kind of left handed, in that I only write, eat, and do a scarce few of other activities left handed. I play every sport I've ever tried right handed(or footed). Shooting, I do right handed, do to being right eye dominant, but, while my left eye has 20/20 vision, my right has something like 20/25, which makes a far away target storming hard to see clearly. It's not bad enough to wear glasses, and usually only has been a problem in shooting, when I can't differentiate certain rings of the target from others. I am very white. Tanning does not come easily to me. Despite the fact that I am 1/8 Italian, I'm pretty sure, I got none of those genes and all of the Danish ones from my dad's family. Also, despite being very white, I have what has been described to be as "black man hair". I have very tight curls that I once grew into a decent Afro, but have since kept shorter and brushed as flat as I can(which is pretty wavy). My parents were both born deaf, and I have grown up around Deaf/ASL culture. None of my five siblings or I are deaf. I am fluent in ASL because of this. I live around 10 minutes away from Brandon Sanderson and he came to my school once to meet me as a going away present from my newspaper advisor.
  18. Wow. That's...wow. I mean, she's 11! Maybe if she were 30, it'd be a bit strange, but even then, she still deserves sympathy. But at 11, this is normal behavior for a child.
  19. I'll change that then. Well, Flashpoint can charge a battery which could be used to power the flamethrower. In fact, now that I think about it, he probably spends some nights sleeping with his hand on a large battery, charging it. No, but Gunz is quite an idiot, and he's been around for some time and Portland is probably one of his biggest moneymakers, and Altermknd isn't stealing hints, just giving himself a discount. If Gunz lost Portland's revenue, he'd probably be in quite a bit of trouble. Altermind just mildly threatens him if he puts up too much resistance. He could, and while that is a lot of work, it might be possible for him to consider, but he would typically just avoid aggravating the man, just paying him less than regular vanillas would have to. But I do think Altermind could pull it off if he had to, but only as a last resort. You can make up whatever you want. Edit: and my Portland post has been edited to change the weaponry like we decided.
  20. You know, that's a very good point. But if Flashpoint ever met Reader, knowing that Emma pantsed him would only make him like her more. That's true. Motivators for bullets wouldn't make sense. Would something like a motivator from an Epic who could make any bullet he shot hit whatever he was aiming at, used in a gun make more sense? I purposely made that number random and figured that Gunz won't be too pushy about it because unlike the Reckoners, Altermind could destroy him and suffer no consequences other than losing a dealer.
