Sorry for breaking the chain of the conversation but I just read the chapters and could not resist to post. I felt like these were the best chapters so Far. Super impressed with Shallan's Chapter. She is turning into an awesome character. I mean I realize that she is acting super crazy but I feel she is truly branching out as a character. Somewhere down the road she will have to reconcile her split personalities. Kaladin gets a whole new perspective on Parshmen. Oh and Dalinar was pretty awesome too. Finally felt like the Blackthorn and not a politician or a lover.

I agree. I do not see any other way out here. He has no other way to convince others the truth of what he is saying.

I usually purchase audiobooks from audible and they are always released at midnight PST. I would assume it would be the same for eBooks.

I disagree. Let's assume Shen is a spy in dull form. It was stated that people in dull form are not very bright. So it's possible that they are not very good spies but they are the only tools parshendi have. That is why eshonai (might have misspelled that) did not have a lot of details about the surge binder but she knew of him from the reports she got.

I think it makes a lot of sense if Shen is a spy or a parshman who learns forms. Otherwise his character is wasted. He has received a lot of screen time up until now to be otherwise. I vote for spy. That could allow him to transform to a mediator between the races.

So anyone know when the final set is coming out. I'm assuming there is only one more set??

Oh I don't think anyone can be as bad as Gawyn. The entire trakand family gets an award for worst fantasy characters ever. Don't know why people hate Adolin so much. He still has some promise.

I think Shallan's spren is behaving like Syl. In WoK initially Syl acted like a windspren and played pranks. Only later did she start talking to kaladin. I believe as time goes by the cryptic will mature.

For WoK from June to August we had the prologue and 10 of Kaladin's chapters. So I am hoping we get atleast 5 more.

Great theory. I also wondered about her spren. I wonder if they come as a group but only one bonds. If I remember correctly only one of the spren bowed their head to jasnah.

Great start to the book. Anyone know when the next chapters will come. I'm hoping we get something weekly Also I feel Shallan won't have a love triangle (sounds too much like dalinar and would be boring) but Jasnah might. The whole dark eyed vs. light eyed debate might be worth exploring.
