"Walls can be repaired," Azrael said. "Battleships can sail away. Even a mind can be brought back from the brink, with enough effort." He loomed over Sebrial. "But heresy?" he said. "Never. The stain of treason can never be washed away, young mortal. Not in this life, nor after it. Its canker will grow and grow, smothering the soul, until all that is left is hatred and darkness." Lena's words seemed to snap Azrael out his reverie. "No," he said, stepping back. "The heretic astartes, Crow Blackice, was. For now, PlasmaCore is innocent." "We know that Crow is in this building," he continued. "Sebrial, let the Dark Angels extract her and bring her to justice. Any damages caused will be repayed, and then even more. The Black Crusade will fully fund whatever experiments you wish, just stay out of this. It doesn't concern you or your foundation." @Ark1002

Azrael looked at the man, slightly surprised to find him here, instead of upstairs. "Sebrial," he said, passing the sword to his left hand. "I was hoping to speak to you." He glanced at the ruin of the elevator wall. "I'm sorry about that. It was the only way to get around your security." @Ark1002

Azrael came to a halt. "Errant, secure the elevator," he said. "I'll catch up with you." The Grey Knight nodded and pushed past the humans, blue flame beginning to dance around his helm. Azrael looked down at Alask and Lena. "The Dark Angels are here to avenge the Acutes," he growled. "This building is about to become a war zone. You need to leave, now." Behind them, Errant had reached the elevator doors. Blue light burst from runes on his armor, glowing so brightly it hurt to look at him. He reached out to the doors and pushed. The entire wall disintegrated, burning to ash in a wave of light. The runes faded from Errant's armor as he stepped back.

The man suddenly tilted his head, losing the absent-minded expression he had been wearing. He looked sharper, somehow. Less distracted, more tense. "Understood, brother-sergeant," he spoke into the air. "I'm moving to intercept now. Errant, drop the glamour." And then he disappeared. Just vanished, right in front of everyone. In his place stood a giant armored in dark green, carrying a huge, ornate sword in one hand. And standing beside him was another giant, this one in gleaming silver plate. Blue flame wreathed its hands and head, though it was fading quickly. Azrael, grand master of the Dark Angels and de facto leader of the Black Crusade, looked at the group sitting at the table. "This doesn't concern you," he said. Outside, people started screaming as the sun disappeared, something huge moving in front of it. "Run. As fast and as far as you can, and don't look back." He strode out of the hall, the grey space marine following close behind. @ZincAboutIt @kenod @Ark1002 @I think I am here. @Sorana

“This world gets threats like that weekly,” the bald man said.. “I’m not impressed, personally. But those experiments, if they can be produced more cheaply than what the DA are using... Those could make this operation almost worth it.” He scratched his chin absently, still staring at the slideshow. He hadn’t looked once at them while he spoke. @ZincAboutIt

“Not neccessarily,” a voice whispered to Kumiko’s right. A man was standing by their table. He wore dark green, with a cream tabard inscribed with eagles’ wings over the outfit. He barely seemed to notice them as he stared at the screen. “Those dragons... the possibilities for such a potent Investiture negator are endless...” he murmured. “And those spiked astartes... well, the possibilities are endless...” He trailed off, seeming to notice the others for the first time. @kenod

The Space Marine inclined his head respectfully towards Lusk, but said nothing. He quietly turned around and walked up to his Guild box, disappearing into the shadows. @I think I am here.

"I find your argument contradictory and filled with logical errors," the Space Marine said, his expression calm. "I will address your points in the order they were presented," he continued, stepping down to the center of the room. "The Keepers' response to the Whiterose massacre was, and I quote, "If this rogue faction is able to do all this, it's not the Ghostbloods fault. It's your incompetence," speaking, of course, to the DA representative. No further comment was made on the slaughter of women and children." He raised an eyebrow. "While telling, this ultimately proves nothing. Indeed, the Black Crusade did only involve itself after the event- by stationing a demi-company of hardened warriors and armor to guard the Church. I believe this is still more than the Keepers did." "As to your point that you have never waged war," he continued, "Brother-Captain Trajan of the Iron Hands would like to disagree with you, seeing as your military just shot down two of his Thunderhawk gunships and murdered their crew." He looked pointedly at the old woman. "Said gunships were conducting an operation against the yetis who had attacked Fortress Eternal and killed hundreds of its citizens." He nodded towards the Diagramist representative. "Stormbreaker can confirm this. Their motive was vengeance for the fallen, and yet you still killed them." "Furthermore," he said, "you seem to forget that the Exterminatus of the AlleyCity, seventeen years ago, was a desperate attempt to keep the DA's abominations from escaping the city. There were hundreds of thousands of them, madam. Would you have preferred to let them spill out into the countryside, letting them raid and murder freely? We might never have tracked them all down if that were the case. And," he said, raising his voice, "you, like so many others, forget the sacrifices that the Crusade made to evacuate what civilians were alive after the abominations were released. The Canton's shields protected the innocent while death rained from the sky, even as our Astartes bled to keep the corrupted warriors of Nurgle contained." "The point remains," the Salamander said. "You are accused of hypocrisy and corruption, and evidence suggests* that you fail to meet the status of a Great Guild. I propose a vote," he said, turning to face the assembly and spreading his arms, "that a new census be taken, in order to reflect the changes in Homeless population and disposition, and that guilds who fail to reach Great Guild status be stripped of their resources." @kenod @I think I am here. @Nohadon @Vargo Seldon @Darth Woodrack @MacThorstenson @Voidus @Ark1002

The space marine representative stood up and cleared his throat. "In light of recent events," he said, his blood-red eyes grim, "wasting the Assembly's time seems inappropriate. Thus, I'll make this quick." He pointed at the Keeper's representative. "The Black Crusade," he said, "formally accuses the Keepers guild of lying about their Great Guild status, sheltering hostile forces, and the obstruction of justice. We move that the Keepers immediately have their Great Guild status stripped away and be subject to investigation by the Republic for charges of corruption and heresy." @Lord Meeker @kenod @I think I am here. @Nohadon @Vargo Seldon @Darth Woodrack @MacThorstenson @Voidus @Ark1002

A pair of Thunderhawks shot over Stormbreaker, dropping out of sight as they turned around the mountain. Moments later, an explosion shook the mountain. Clan Raukaan had been operating in the mountains for months now, taking advantage of their superior technology to go places where the Diagramists couldn't reach. Their collaboration with the Diagramists was lackluster- Captain Trajan kept muttering about "unaugmented mortals" whenever he spoke with their ambassadors- but, for the moment, they were following Stormbreaker's orders. @Vargo Seldon

giant yeti battle!!!!!!! Fortress Eternal
Grey Knight replied to Vargo Seldon's topic in The Alleyverse
"Alternatively," Trajan said, stepping up beside them, "we could just shoot it, using our air superiority and extensive heavy weaponry." One of his mechanic arms sparked angrily. "Just a thought." @Vargo Seldon- 111 replies

I mean, you're not wrong. One could argue that the Sons of War were the indirect cause. But the direct cause was Lord Meeker's attempt to bond with the Worldspike, and everyone else trying to stop him. However, I need to win an argument, so here's my evidence!

...No, it was definitely started by me lopping off Solace's head, and then very publicly declaring war on him. I'm not bragging- that's actually what happened. I can go pull up the old threads to prove it, too.
