Yawning, I gave Jamie's sleeping form a satisfied smile and curled up in the corner with a blanket. Joy pulsed laughter, darkness, sleep at me, and I began to drift off. I might have wondered what the darkness was, but I assumed it was some way of expressing nighttime for her. It wasn't.

Deteca's eyes narrowed. "Well, we certainly can't let that happen. But if they're against this for certain as well..." A thought occurred to her: could it be his group, doing this from the place she'd found? She filed that away as she had an idea. "The DA might not go crazy if we joined forces," she mused. Deteca didn't like the concept, but they'd stood with the DA before, and the good of the Alleyverse came first. Well, the short-term good; spiking fit into the long-term category. "Forgive me, but do you have a way to contact Voidus - through the Void, or by virtue of...er, of being..." She waved vaguely, embarrassed. "You?" -
