  1. It would have to be spinning for a long time
  2. Fine with me.
  3. Everyone has the ability to be in the PM if they so choose. If they don’t want to be in it, then that is their choice to make. The required approval can come from the polls. And while it might not look like we’re close, the limit creeps up on you faster than you’d think. Especially as new members arrive and old ones go, the count will fluctuate. I don’t want to risk it. I don’t understand where you’re coming from, to be honest. There is nothing that inhibits discussion in header polls. Anyone can discuss the questions at any point in time. If they want to change their vote, then they can mention it and it will be made note of. The way you suggested sounds like it would actually be much harder and more annoying to manage. We’d have to keep track of the score, of who had voted already, of how many people had voted, etc. Plus it would take up space in the RP; and there would be people who ignored it because it didn’t directly pertain to them (some people only react when tagged). Up at the top, it’s infinitely easier to notice and to keep track of. Firstly, I’m going to be straight here, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll have many unanimous votes. Our objective is to have a majority vote, where we please as many people as we can. That is already the case. ...still not sure what you mean. We have talked about plot extensively. I’m 95% certain the words ‘singer features’ were in there, because I remember thinking about them when I made the poll. Then we have no disagreement. Which is not allowed, and hasn’t been for quite some time. Then that’s your personal preference. Characters are the factor around which roleplays are built, however, so not writing them is presumably one of the reasons why people were ruffled. Anyway, that’s irrelevant. Then can we have him get captured? I don’t want to slow down Leona and the rest any more than we already have, so it would be great if you could post. I understand if you can’t think of anything, I’ve had those days too, so you could also just give me a rough outline of Sheln’s actions and I can write them. If you decide to write Sheln’s perspective on the Voidbringers, great. If not, great. We can make it work either way. On that note, it’s officially 2019. I’m now going to put up a poll regarding what month it is. A long time ago we decided that it was late winter, but I honestly can’t even remember our reasoning, and I have been informed that the prom is often a spring event, so I’ll just throw up all the months and let it be decided once and for all. (After that we’ll probably figure out the date.)
  4. For a lot of characters, there isn’t that much importance, and a word or two generally covers it. This isn’t getting rid of the category; in the personality part of the reference character sheet it could be mentioned.
  5. While psyche usually refers to one’s level of sanity or if they have any mental disorders, I think it would make the most sense for that to be in the Personality section, along with likes, dislikes, the way they react to people, and everything else.
  6. Hey folks, a couple of us were talking and thought that the Psyche category in the character sheet could essentially be included with the Personality, so I’d like to propose that they be combined. Psyche is a part of your personality.
  7. There are so many posts like that...I honestly don’t understand why y’all like doing it
  8. There are a lot of them with substance too, so I definitely disagree
  9. I agree with your middle paragraph, that’s what I said too, so I’m not sure why you’re arguing it. Though for that last sentence, I want to amend that we haven’t seen a visible effect on that front, but if you did it a lot at once, quickly, it might change something, like with breathing. Just an idea. Why do you think she hasn’t been doing it for years back in Idris? She clearly knows how to do it, so that must imply she’s done it before. This being Siri of all Idrians we’re talking about, it seems fairly likely that she would’ve done it any number of times, experimenting, wanting to look colorful, et cetera.
  10. @Fractalfire
  11. Well yeah, of course that wouldn’t be likely for Siri, in the situation she is currently in, to die of starvation. I didn’t say it was, just that it might be possible - for example, Vivenna cut off and sold her hair when she was in a bad situation, then was too exhausted and starved to regrow it and sell it again. She might have been able to, but if so it probably would’ve left her malnoursished. If it were possible to become a savant of the Royal Locks, I suspect Siri would have done so long ago, as she allowed her hair to change colors frequently. However, since that is not a choice on her part but a natural reaction of her family’s hair, I don’t think savantism is possible. We don’t know much about it, but all evidence so far points to it being something that happens when you consciously use Investiture too much, go too far. There certainly could be other consequences, but I’m pretty sure we’d have seen them already if this were the case. As you said, this is something that happens on a daily basis. If there was a negative effect, it most likely would have already manifested - even if only in the past, in which case Siri would still have experienced it.
  12. The Scadrian Waffle Cooks have no relation to the DA. While it would be awesome if references from the Shard made their way into the ranks, I doubt they will (this topic was mentioned some time ago in the Rep Levels thread, and I don't remember the exact reasoning but it ended up being a solid no). I believe it's actually something from a WOB, Brandon joking. I thought Tevidian was a High Prelan? Pretty sure that they're separate titles in the books too. The High Prelan is the one in charge of all of them, while each Canton has its own Prelan. I could be misremembering here. Not all Mistings train to become hazekillers, just as not all hazekillers are Mistings. All Mistings have magical powers. That's probably why they were set above hazekillers in the list. (My personal favorite is either Enefel or Dragon.)
  13. I think she mentioned at some point that it was because it made her feel tired and hungry, so it could be merely because it's annoying to do so. It might be possible to starve yourself doing it.
  14. Granted, but Althea is eating it I wish for chocolate cake that no one else is eating and that won't harm me.
  15. Sorry for the double post, don't want this to die. So, 300 points power level for characters, who don't take up a slot in your character count 1,300ish years before the present day (200 years after the establishment of the AV) with characters who either support or don't support the Alleycity being built (and the implications that come with it, like attempting to create some form of organization etc.) and may or may not be in guilds which we make for the express purpose of this prequel and which end during the RP or shortly after it. (It'd be fun stylistically to leave the members just acknowledging their imminent doom at the end of it, but then cutting before showing it.) Possibilities for these guilds ending: The semi-fledgling DA gets annoyed with them and wipes them all out They just fade away over time, losing any sense of purpose Their members all die this could happen to some but not others They ally with and then are sucked into another guild - GUILD AMOEBA They revolted against the Alleycity's founding, and either lost very violently or was so depressed at losing that they just stopped Things to keep in mind: We want this to be less about the guilds and more about the individuals one way to do this could be to have several guilds fail right off the bat? The DA might be less known at this time, communication wouldn't be as great Sound good?
  16. Clare burst out of an alley, gasping for breath. “Kaz -“ she got out before staggering into the wall and pressing herself to it, breathing hard. I followed you, I made it, she wanted to whisper, but she was a few minutes behind and she was exhausted.
  17. I get all the rest, but why is AIM a bunch of evil beekeepers?

    1. Archer

      Archer

Really? I thought that the Horton Hears a Who reference would be the least understandable one. Good job. :D AIM is the acronym of the cyber-terrorist organization Advanced Idea Mechanics in the Marvel comics. They look like this:
