Indeed he is from Wheel of Time. I was a bit unsure it was "legal" to use him since Brandon is not the author of WoT, since he is the one character that was 100% his creation I figured it was all good.

Nice. Let's see how this one fares: I believe that small things can make a great difference so I'm not ashamed of my little strength. One of the two False Ones believed my talent worthy of a weapon even if the other was keeping it from me. When strife and betrayal corrupted our home I sought help from the ones who had been our enemies and because of my trust I was placed in bondage and barely managed to bond my enemy in turn. Together we succeeded in routing the true enemy once my talent was freed from what it pinned it down. I went on to bring the fire of the earth upon the invaders who threatened our land, and in the end i fought together with my binder and bonded in a way no one thought possible.

I don't think I would have ever got it... I still don't get the lines about killing friends and being praised, can you explain them? Also, I'm sure it was already suggested earlier in the topic, but making longer boast would be better for everyone.

Same here. I don't think there are many Brandon's characters associated with water/sea, or at least I can't think of any.

Ok, how about this one: I steal from many people something the seldom know they have. I'm allowed to do this, because they are not diminished for it. I still pay the price for the one time I stole something that has no price. I should have paid once and for all, but he-who-rises saved my life, so I, he-who-decrease, now follow him. Even after he ran from himself. I do my job by using what I always steal and the gifts of my blood I still take things from people, but I always give something in return It's not so good, but it also shouldn't be too difficult.

Personally, I like the series a lot, and I would recommend it to anyone. I have actually started a re-read a while ago and I'm halfway through book 3. The first two books are more definitely rougher then the rest, but still good. I would say that if by the end of book 4 you are not hooked, you are probably never gonna be.

Generally speaking i can agree with you, but with the One Power it's stated clearly that the strength with the power, the amount of Saidar/Saidin you can use, is quantifiable quality. The frigging Aes Sedai use it to establish their internal hierarchy. That doesn't mean that when two channelers fight the stronger in the power wins, but it obviously gives you an advantage.

I have liked it a lot, right until the end. The final plot twist was great, and if it ended after Sophie shoot herself it would have been a better. Instead it goes on for a couple more pages and leaves me with more questions than answers.

I have three talents that distinguish me form all my peers. The first is dangerous, for it brings terrible beings. The second is maddening, for it gives me knowledge of what others do that even they don't possess. The third is still a secret, and may never be revealed. Thanks to the first one I get food but not gold, and everyday the second one tortures me with what my companions do. Because of that I want to stop risking my life and go collect what is precious and light but he who wants the gold and she who searches for something don't want me to. So I escaped, but again I risked my life because of the first. This character should be pretty hard to guess, so I tried to give a lot of informations. Let's see how it goes.

Wasn't there some Word of Brandon that said that the gems used in shardplates are some sort of jury rigging that the Radiants didn't need to use?
