  1. Over the weekend I read Prince of Thorns, which was pretty good, once I'd gotten into it. Pretty awesome regarding the post-apocalyptic feudal society. A patient wait for the sequel due out in July XD I also started The Lies of Locke Lamora, which is shaping up to be awesome I agree Rayonn, Malazan isn't great at the start, but it gets so darn Epic, oh man it gets Super Epic. XD Dresden Files is also awesome
  2. I shall once again announce to you without any prenouncement that the Avengers was, on a scale of one to bad, at about 1.
  3. Makabaki/Emuli/Azish: tall, dark hair, smooth accents Herdazian: crystalline, slate-colored fingernails
  4. did they just swap out symbols (so V is still atium?), or did they expand it to use the feruchemical representations also, or are they just a completely different order?
  5. or, at least, a significantly different time-period.
  6. A rough guide (rule of thumb) would be anything less than 1 page long (no scrollbar) is a stub.
  7. I'm going to announce, whether you like it or not, that I'm now talking in numbers relating to the allomantic symbols.... oh and I'm also going to announce that you should all go edit the wiki some
  8. belated birthdaying wishes to you, Sir
  9. is the 1024 years thing a fact about shards and their pools, or did Leras make it like that for the mathsiness?
  10. Awesome, thank's very much I'll try and retranslate the page using your charset when I get home
  11. this is awesome thanks so much. Am I ok to transcribe your findings/translation into the wiki? EDIT: also and for references (the first one has letter assignments that have been confirmed to be incorrect/outdated by Peter).
  12. I would assume that the Lerasium-Atium alloy is the one that makes Feruchemists. I like the idea that Lerasium has the power to consciously modify sDNA though.

    Awesomium

They're fairly bland, afawk. Feruchemical Aweomium stores awesomeness (you become a derp when storing, and a dude when tapping), and Awesomium spikes steal the power to use the two metals Allomanticaly. Loserumin's spikes probably steal the power to use the two metals Feruchemically, but we have to wait for the next book for that to be confirmed, along with the Feruchemical ability of Loserumin. (This is all according to Will btw, he thinks he knows everything, but keeps forgetting that there's always another secret)
  14. Happy birthday dude :)

  15. You do seem like the kind of person who would give yourself awards... lol

  16. Happy Birthyday master Kuri :D hope you have a wonderful day

  17. I'd just leave all the new characters' races out until we get distinct names for them. They are no longer either skaa or Terris or even Noble, you could probably call them Elendian? But until we get some canonical terms, best to leave it out.
  18. well if you come across any Alethi infoboxes (or Skaa, Herald, Returned}}, please just put subst: between the opening {{ and the words. Like so: {{AlethiInfobox becomes {{subst:AlethiInfobox. Thanks The main reasoning behind the specialist ones was because all the Alethi have the same birthplace/race/etc fields. I've realised we can use the {{subst:Alethi info}} templates for this instead. so all is gravy XD If you ever see a {{cat}} template, please do the same (change {{cat| to {{subst:cat|) thanks
  19. The first anime is pretty damnation good, not seen brotherhood (I watch on youtube, thanks to FUNimation, and they've not released brohud yet XD) I was rewatching Farscape last week
  20. exactly, I'll be removing them, asap
  21. You did it just right , and yeah, the templates derived from CharacterInfobox are rubishy
  22. Yeah, I'm not even gonna try getting into highlighting content in the textarea, the whole point was simplicity. Be warned, the spoilers have techno-babble Still, the problem with undo is nearly a dealbreaker... stupid jQuery
  23. Just make sure you add an external link (like [http://google.com/ Google]) to the file summary which points at the source.
  24. So Terez asked me to find and/or make her a HTML editor because she doesn't want to write all her tags herself. I found a few, but none of them were particularly awesome, so I made her one. here or here I'll quite happily add you more buttons if you want. The main feature was the Alt-to-view thing, the rest is just powered by jQuery and a bunch of code that adds selection functions to jQuery I found on StackOverflow. I might add some way of centering the preview on the cursor, if that becomes a problem, and I don't know how well it works over browsers. unfortunately its also not clever enough to allow you to undo anything, which is a major sticking point, I think... Silly jQuery Go ahead and ask me to improve it
  25. yeah, whenever you add an image please try where possible to add a link as close as possible to the original source I've added an image attribute to the template, which just needs the filename (minus the File: prefix)
