  1. I will find the document I typed up on each of these characters and put in the edit below. Edit: @Belzedar They are in the original post.
  2. I was thinking about sounds for the last part. I had the option of ogue, egue, and ague. I like ague the best that is why I chose it. I know the Writing excuses might be good but I a going to listen to Brandon teach his College class instead!
  3. There is nothing wrong with saying the words or eating cookies, but you would probably want to join the DA right after. If you don't and want to work against them, you are on your own. The LA don't function very well. I would say that the Ghostbloods are a good pick if you want to stay neutral. Just some up-to-date news.
  4. I am currently in the process of writing a book, the planning phase to be exact. I am also looking for co-author(s), I figured the shard is the best place to look. I need some help, the poll being one, and the other being the magic system. I am having four people wield the four forces of nature and I don't know how to really create a magic system around gravitation, electromagnetism, the weak interaction, and the strong interaction. So please post your ideas. (Names are welcome as well!) Below this is the synopsis of the book. Balance has been upended. I fear I have been the cause of this. I can feel the change on the winds, in my blood. A darkness is coming and I fear I can not stop it alone. My goodness and just dealings have brought this upon the world. God once lived among men, but now he is gone. No amount of searching has uncovered the slightest clue to where he might be. We might as well be doomed. But if you, hero, are reading this, humanity might have the slightest chance, a glimmer of hope to overcome the eternal death that has been unleashed. Do not lose hope, endure what is to come with patience, for if you don't humanity might as well give up. Character Synopsis Aurell Faine She was sent as an ambassador from Ettera to the kingdom of Surn to plead for help, aid and Allies from King Spero Montague. Upon her arrival, she finds out that the capital has closed its gates to all. In a moment of desperation she sneaks into the city only to find herself confronted by a cloaked character. When she reaches the palace she sense that the city is the center of everything, and something big might revolve around her finding out the identity of the figure in black. What will she uncover? Prince Ryker Sinclair Montague 3rd Ryker is third in line for the Montague throne. He is a known to be an excellent swordsman, and witty. But he harbors a secret that nobody can find out. He is the Sparrow. A religious crime fighting vigilante, who feels it is his duty to keep the city safe and return the truths lost to the people so long ago. What will he do when he meets the Etteran Ambassador? Casteal Vaenlane Her name means “the enemy”. Brilliant and talented in engineering, science and mathematics she was inducted into the Flanagan Empire’s military School for the gifted. Even there she exceed the expectations and was soon drafted into the military to build designs of mass destruction and domination. Soon war broke out as Emperor Flanagan tested a new weapon on the peoples of a nearby nation of Voryld-En’ryn. She is promoted to a general of a fleet, she designed herself. Can she win the war? THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! -Sahin the Just
  5. @Archer I suggest that we take this argument to a Pm or a thread and preferably have some Auburn wine. Care to join me? I can guarantee it is not poisoned.
  6. You have no proof that it was me you scoundrel! Innocent until proven guilty!
  7. Honestly that would be crazy! I want that to happen.
  8. I agree with Shallan and Dalinar. I want more of Szeth, because I like the Order his character is in. Kaladin, I just don't want him to go away, he is jsut to awesome. OOOOOH! Yes. I want to know more about Taln, and I want Rysn to be able to heal her legs or have them healed .
  9. I agree, but one of the poems talked about windrunning and another talked about Shallan's wedding. But Brandon seems to take parts of the poem and base what problems will arise as well as what will be revealed.
  10. @Philomath More or less. The Ghostbloods aren't that sort of group if you want to join. And it seems my old friend @Archer is back from the dead. How'd you do it, ol' buddy, ol' pal?
  11. I was reading on the Arcanum and came across a particularly interesting post. I was wondering what characters would fade and what characters would stay. My thoughts are this. Kaladin will stay throughout the series as well as Bridge Four. Those guys are too awesome to fade to the background. Lift will become more of a main character. Brandon said he was grooming her for an important part later. Dalinar will fade. He's older so I am expecting Brandon to kill him off. Adolin and Shallan will leave to have kiddos and might be seen occasionally. What are your thoughts? Full post here
  12. I would recommend against giving your soul away. @Philomath Have an upvote.
  13. I was talking to one of my friends earlier about OB characters. Specifically Shallan, Kaladin, and Adolin, and which he shipped together. He chose Shadolin. We got to talking to how much I despised Shallan for her lies. He said that Shallan and Kaladin were fundamental opposites. Kaladin being all Honorable and brooding, and Shallan with her Lies and hiding behind a bright, smiling face. Like their characters were purposely made to oppose Tell me what you guys think about this, it blew my mind just thinking about it. I am sorry ☻
  14. I noticed that the Part titles and the end note have been the same, or close to the same. I was wondering if anyone else thought that this could be significant. Please tell me what you think because I feel like the end notes are what Brandon seems to base what happens in the that specific part. They also seem to be linked to a certain character, Kaladin or Shallan.
  15. I feel that Skybreakers would be Tattle tellers and that Dustbringers are the troublemakers. Edit: Edgedancers either 1. Best moms 2 gardennomes (Because of progression surge) Elsecallers: Endermen (Needed to be said even though you have it.)
  16. "The spikes get shipped in," Ryker replies. "So I guess in blood bottles. I think I do have that marked on the license here somewhere." He walks into the office and returns to Mac handing the license over. "There you go." Archer still wrote in his notebook. Ryker suppressed a smile, who knew what the man was doing. He wasn't very subtle about it. Ryker was honestly surprised Archer hadn't complained about the acrid taste. He turned away as the man put a hand to his head, and stood up. Ryker focused his attention on Mac, who was still looking over the license. There was a sudden crash as well as several screams, causing Ryker to jump. Archer lay on the floor unmoving. Ryker rushed over to check on the man. He couldn't find a pulse. Archer was dead. The man who had worked so hard against the DA was dead. There wasn't any amount of Progression that could save him now. "We are closed!" He yelled, distraught. What had happened? Harmony, Ryker didn't know. People started to file out. There was a second crash, not three minutes later. Mac fell to the floor, limbs splayed wildly. Seizure. This one could be saved. He yelled for his assistant manager, who was luckily a Truthwatcher. She set immediately to healing Mac. Mac stopped flailing, and his breathing returned to normal. Soon the coppers arrived and want to search the place and ask their questions. Ryker didn't know who had done it, but he did tell the coppers what he knew. After they were done, they left, saying that they wanted to continue the investigation in an hour. They left a pair of coppers at the door to guard the body and the crime scene. He closed his doors and locked them for extra security. He sat on the curb and put his face in his hands. What was he going to do now?
  17. "I always keep a bottle on me." The manager takes a moment then returns with a glass and a bottle. He pulls the cork from the bottle and pours the scarlet liquid into the cordial glass. He then passes the glass over to Lopen. "There you go."
  18. "By Harmony's beard, of course, you can. I will be right back." Ryker disappears into the manager's office and returns with a bag, which he places on the counter. "That will be five boxings for the bag." He places it on a scale and the weight reads 6 pounds. "Special goodie delight. Come to think of it, I don't think Harmony has a beard."
  19. "Yes, yes of course." He riffles through a stack of papers, muttering to himself. "Ah yes here we go." He hands a stapled stack of papers to Mac. "If there is anything wrong, please let me know." He moves off to help another customer.
  20. Rules Application: Please don't make your character to OP. Limit the Investure to two magic systems. Ex. Stormlight and Breaths. Note: You may have up to two characters, a main and a side. You sit around a large oaken table. Which is strange considering that this place resides in Shadesmar. A man, who goes by the name of Sahin, is standing at the table's head, or you assume it is the head, as the table is round. Sahin wears a worn, but expensive cloak, only wearing armor on his arms and hands. A woman stands behind him. She wears a a large overcoat, that contains every color of brown imaginable. Her hair has several different colors in it. You are pulled from your obervations as Sahin speaks. "Welcome heroes of the Cosmere. Welcome to the Tower*. I know your trip has been an interesting one. So let be quick. Something is coming. Something big, it has it's attention, on Scadrial, Sel, Roshar, Taldain, and Nalthis. This is an evil that will take all of us working as a team. I am Sahin the Just, I am a Skybreaker of the third Ideal and a coinshot. This here is my associate and good friend Aurell Faine, who has just recently achieved the Sixth Heightening. We will take turns introducing ourselves before we begin with the serious business." *Picture of the Tower I figured I would do one as well.
  21. "I am indeed what you say I am," Ryker replies to Mac. "Your croissant shaped spike will be out of the oven mom- Ah here it is." A woman walks from the kitchen with a tray. On it are some newly made goodies and sweets. With gloved hands, Ryker pulls the croissant from the tray and puts it on a plate. Sliding it across the glass counter to Lopen. "It's on the house for the resent delivery." He winks. Then comes the knocking. He hurries over to the door, pulling it open. "I am sorry, someone must have accidentally locked the door. Is there anything I can interest you in? Perhaps a slice of Crostata?"
  22. Ryker smiled, "Enjoy." He didn't lie about the spikes, it was sometimes bad for business. He turned to the other customers. "I can help the next customer."
  23. "Yes yes. They are 110% clean." He says.
  24. “You may, that is what the chairs and the tables are for,” Ryker says exasperatedly. “You do need to pay for them before you can have them.”
  25. Ryker just shakes his head, sighing. "The cookies are a boxing each discount included." Trusting himself not to speak his mind, Ryker slips three cookies into a paper bag, and moves over to the boxing register. He waits patiently at the till for Archer. "Is there anything else you would like?"
