Yes, the volume of the metal does affect the amount you can store in it. From the coppermind: Edit: if you want a direct WoB,

I found this, but nothing else about waffles and nothing by Shivertongue about waffles on Arcanum.

Wow, thank you for doing this for me! (and for anyone else who wants to make Yeddaw pancakes.) So we know at least 7 unique ones: salty w/ vegetables. (may or may not be the same as Sun Day pancakes) sweet. fluffy, almost without any substance. Served with a dipping sauce. dense with sticky, salty paste in the center. covered with crunchy seeds sugar in center (probably same as 'the ones with sweet stuff') thick, almost mealy texture. So, I don't believe we have enough information on the Sun Day/Tuk-cake to count it as a unique variety. There are two varieties not described. Those might be "the other two varieties she'd tried over the last few hours" from page 190. More likely, they just don't get mentioned since Brandon was running out of ideas. Anyway, I plan to replace the missing two with: 8. chocolate chip pancake, and 9. standard with maple syrup & butter. Those are definitely not the two we're missing, but in my opinion, no pancake meal is complete without a chocolate chip pancake. Also, I don't think I could find out the real recipes without going to Brandon directly, which I don't really have time to do before tomorrow morning. Oh, and let's not forget: 10. dedicated to Tashi. More a thought than a real entity.

This isn't a theory, just something I think everyone needs to know. I was looking through WoBs (W's oB?) about 'sixteen' and I ran across this: So he has a whole bunch of atium that, I assume, he's using to compound his age. The reason Brandon didn't explicitly say that Marsh was compounding is because this Q&A was before Alloy of Law, and the readers at that point didn't know a whole lot about compounding. He just said there was something you could do with atium to make yourself younger. So, there you go. I just think we all need to be on the same page about that.

That's not a bad idea either. I wonder which gets you more volume of tin per length of chain. That would be so nice! Of course, you do have to worry about overexerting your body at that point. Pain exists for a very good reason. But there are situations that it just gets in the way, so I don't think you would never want to store pain. Like if you had a headache you could just store it until you can take a nap or something. Or, and this is a very extreme and risky situation, if you're in a fight and you have a broken limb, you might decide it's a good idea to store the pain to finish the fight. I don't know. But yeah, throwing away a filled pain-tinmind makes sense.

A necklace would be good. I'd go for a relatively thick chain, to give yourself more space in your metalminds. I could also see someone wearing a tin skullcap. According to this picture, it doesn't look like he has any padding between the metal and his head, so that could be a metalmind. And, if you'll notice, he also seems to be wearing a gambeson over a mail hauberk. I imagine it's just to catch arrows that go through the gambeson, and chances are he has a thin fabric shirt to keep the mail from rubbing against his skin, but it may be that it's touching his skin in such a way that he could be storing attributes in those links. Could you clarify? I've read that a few times and I don't know what you mean.

Alright, fair. Here's that platypus WoB. I assume it works for sharks, too. They can sense heartbeats of nearby fish via electric currents. Makes them all the more scary. I guess F-tin is more useful than I assumed. Still, you have to have a separate tinmind for every sense. If you want to have access to a lot of magic at once, you'd have to have SO many rings and piercings. Or, oooh, I like this idea. Or a chain mail coif or something made of tin links. You could store a different sense in each ring. Then again, the links are very small, and I don't know of any piece of chain armor that's supposed to touch the user's skin. Maybe plate armor makes more sense. But no, that's often padded too. And come to think of it, I don't know that tin would even make good armor. I still think chain metalminds would be cool though.

Again, not my RP, but I don't see why anyone can't join. I'll add you too.

It's not my RP, but I don't see why not. Since I have the power to add you to the PM, I will.

I always liked him. I had doubts about his motives in FE, (that's Final Empire, not a capitalized abbreviation for iron.) but as soon as he gave her that handkerchief I was Vin & Elend 100%. That's really all I have to say about his personality.

I just want to know where you got the idea that tin can store basically anything. Did Brandon ever say steelsight is a sense? Do we have a WoB on storing the 'sense of balance' you get from pewter? I think you can only store hearing, sight, smell, taste, or touch in a tinmind.

I've said before that steel is the best metal to compound. I have to recognize that compounding atium would be just amazing, although godmetals can be difficult to get your hands on. Steel, on the other hand, is so ridiculously easy to come by. You would have no trouble at all finding steel to invest and ingest, either on Earth or Scadrial. That means infinite speed, plus the powers of a coinshot. (Plus the resonance, which we actually don't know what that is yet.) I do like what @Knight of Iron said about flying. If you're an iron compounder, you can store your weight to almost nothing, and then just pull on an airplane if you want. Free ride! (You'd have to keep yourself warm somehow, though. Other than that, excellent power. Still, being a crasher is probably better in more situations.) As for non-compounding twinborn, I would go with copper for my feruchemical ability and either brass or zinc for my allomantic. I do hate forgetting things, and a little soothing would help in job interviews.

If anything about this doesn't fit into this world, I'm probably okay with changing it. Thanks

Me too?

Sweet. To make my opinions known, I would love it if it were in Final Empire days and my character(s?) got to be a noble misting. Maybe affiliated with the underground if most other people want to be skaa. That said, I'd be happy with either era, before or after the catacendre. I'm mostly here to learn how this works. (and have fun, of course.)

If this is a good opportunity for RP beginners, then yes I am totally in! How do I sign up?

So . . . Not to bug anybody, but I kind of want to join an RP and if a new one is starting, that sounds like an excellent opportunity to get in the RP game. So I'll follow this page and whenever it starts I'll just jump in, cool?

Granted, but he also ages 10 times faster. He chooses to retire early and spend the rest of his days with his family, leaving the rest of his books unfinished. I wish for cleverness; the ability to say and do the right things at the right time. -
And I thought I was clever when I hit ctrl+a.
