  1. That would be awesome, if you don't mind! And i've done that, I'm very excited to see what's next!
  2. I realize this is an old thread, but I wanted to point out that this isn't entirely true. Yes it is true that there is no single gene for violence, but your DNA absolutely does create predispositions for certain behavior. This is how the domestication of animals works, and in fact there is recent evidence by a study through breeding foxes to create a tame population. Here is an article about it! http://www.bbc.com/earth/story/20160912-a-soviet-scientist-created-the-only-tame-foxes-in-the-world So I do believe that it is reasonable to assume that through the culling of dissidents, the aliens have in effect created a genetically "tame" population with few dissidents. And at the same time, being predisposed to avoid aggression does not mean that they "can't" fight a war or kill, for example we would consider dogs to be tame when compared to wolves, and yet dogs can still become aggressive. This would be even easier in an intelligent alien race that is more capable of acting against its natural instincts.
  3. So sad I missed this; I love both puzzles AND Sanderson! Any way to be notified when another round is posted?
  4. Awakening, because you could be the most creative with it, and I feel like you would never run out of new discoveries/experiments to try! (Though I do really love the Sci-Fi magic of Skyward/DE, even though we haven't seen a lot of that yet, so I'm looking forward to delving more into that!)
  5. It may not be a unique answer, but Kaladin, because I can relate most closely with his struggles.
  6. Hi everyone! I have been reading Brandon's work and following the 17th Shard for a few years now, had an account here for about a year, and am just now introducing myself! My name is Mitchell, and I live in CO, USA with my dog and snake. I've met Brandon a couple times over the years, and this past December I even gave him a gift of a homemade bookmark of my dog's paw prints My favorite series is definitely SA, and my personal curiosity is about 'Cultivationlight;' most of my few Q&As in the arcanum relate to that, though I could go on and on about my theories and follow-up to-be-RAFOed questions. Anyway, just wanted to say hi!
  7. I am in the process of convincing myself that the 10hr overnight drive is worth it, but in case I don't make it, I have a question I would love to have answered! A few months ago when Brandon did the Read for Pixels charity event, I asked the question about Cultivationlight that seemed to get him excited; I actually had a part 2 for that question, but we were limited and they weren't able to get to it. When Dalinar goes to meet the Nightwatcher and sees her along with Cultivation, he also sees green mist surrounding them. Is that mist this "cultivationlight," in the same way that Preservation has the mists on Scadrial, or at least related? If not, have we seen this "cultivationlight" on-screen in whatever form it takes?
