  1. Can you say on what you base your assumptions, especially one that we wont see anything about Adolin till last 100k words ?? I like ADolin, I would like to see more of him, and at first your posts worried me, and then made me wonder if you know more them me or make false assumptions. I read Reddit update, Sanderson answers and below is mine interpretation. It might be that I miss some piece of info, if thats the case, please give link First, viewpoint dont mean character wont be showed in other parts of book or developed. It only mean that we see story from that character eyes. We had a lot of Adolin development so far from povs of Shallan, Kaladin, Dalinar in WoK and WoR. Actually some of more important bits of Adolin's story were not through his eyes but from other characters (Adolin's helping prostitute in WoK, his dating with Shallan, parts of duel, aftermath of stay in prison to name few) Second, like Overslept said, its Dalinar's book, so unless Adolin get separated from Dalinar, we might actually see more of him, not less if he will be around Dalinar. Third, Sanderson said: " I am well aware that many people are very interested in what is happening to Adolin, and I consider him one of the more interesting and unexpected developments of the series, in deviation from the original outline. I intend to dig into things with him in the book." So, in deviation from the original outline Sanderson will deepen Adolin's story, not make it shorter or shallower. I assume that original outline for Adolin was in place in WoK and most of WoR, so we actually might expect more of Adolin's story or richer story then previously. All of above seems to indicate that Adolin's fans should be rather happy, not worried.
  2. About novel itself. I loved it but at same time pacing felt strange. I would prefer either pacing like Emperor's Soul or like Lift's Interlude. We got glimpses into Lift past, Edgedancers attitude, and a lot questions About revelations - there was a lot stuff. First - whats going with Szeth and afterimage when he moves? I dont remember anything like that in WoK and WoR. Is it new thing about Szeth, possible because of his connection to Nightblood or is it something which Lift see because of her special status? Second - why is Nale thinking that Radiants can cause Desolation? There was WoB that Desolation happens when Heralds leave Damnation and spend enough time on Roshar. As Desolations happened quite a lot times, Nale and other Heralds should know this - and he should know that next Desolation will happen when Taln break and leave Damnation. At the same time Nale let Skybrekers bond and didnt kill them. It seems to contradict his belief that Radiants cause Desolation or what he was told by Ishar that Radiants could cause Desolation. Is there something we dont know about nature of Oaths and maybe Recreance happened because Radiants discovered or was told that they can cause Desolation? Or someone mislead Nale and/or other Heralds?
  3. Ok. Hmmm. For rules to work with either version, Nale would need to be very close to Szeth and Kaladin's fight, pick up body asap and use fabrial. or Fabrial is more effective? We dont know what power level is replicated with fabrial - is it similar to power of Radiant with 2 Oaths? or one with all 5 Oaths? There is possibility that if Lift said more Oaths is she could save girl. I dont have book with me atm, but my assumption was that it was both matter of how much time passed and how much power Lift could use and Wyndle pointed I think to both - too much time passed, and not enough power.
  4. I assumed that Ym was cobbler. Which seemed strange because Ym's spren was different then Wyndle. There is theory Ym was Truthwatcher, so could one person attract two kinds of spren, or just Cultivationsprens are less discerning? Stump is probably Truthwatcher, her spren is described similarly to Ym ones and really different then Wyndle (I assume that sprens of one type look alike, so other cultivationspren would be vinelike like Wyndle). Well, Nale needed hug at that time I loved Shardfork, funny thing is that it was tribute to one fan who suggested it I think on Reddit. There was interesting bit about possibility of Shardbows too, and that weapon must be from metal.
  5. In new version of WoR Szeth wasnt killed by Shardblade but wounded. He died from fall. Wound from Shardblade can be healed with Stormlight after some time too -> Kaladin healing his arm. In Edgedancer girl was killed by Shardblade (burned eyes etc). So there are differences and Edgedancer do not contradict WoR.
