  1. They do not have crossbows that we've seen, and Amaram is even confused when someone has a blowgun, suggesting that they don't even have those.
  2. That would be interesting.
  3. Fair enough, but I personally just want her to get offed by Kaladin after she destroys the wrong thing. I agree wholeheartedly.
  4. Depends on how you define minor. Gaz is minus an eye and terrified constantly of it. Vathah feels like he's worthless all the time and has many many regrets over the things he's done.
  5. That's fine, there was a lot of info crossing this thread all at once. All good points, especially since my money is on Malata getting knocked off by someone.
  6. We don't know much about Malata, including how she cracked, but she's been bonded for a while, even hinting that she was bonded before joining the Diagram group. As to the other minor trauma, honestly, could be just about anything.
  7. Yep, which is why I noted that our main characters are somewhat outliers with how much trauma they've undergone to crack. Y'know what, that's completely fair.
  8. That would be hilarious.
  9. Yeah, sorry, should have though to include these from the get-go.
  10. He'd still need to be cracked somehow to have even become a squire in the first place (the Investiture has to meld with your sDNA through the openings provided by trauma to use the magic systems [this goes for all of Sanderson's magics of the cosmere in some way, shape, or form]), though admittedly much less cracks are needed for a squire vs a full Radiant, but I think Lopen has plenty of cracks to speak of.
  11. Yeah, I'm talking Era 1 (for now). If you have suggestions for Era 2, I'd be happy to hear them.
  12. That is among the more likely ideas, with her trying to prevent her memories of her mother from fading.
  13. Possible, yes. Doubtful, though.
  14. Y'know, that's fair. It would look like a permanent Blood Moon.
  15. She's an orphan, at least effectively, so at some point her mother either died or disappeared.
  16. Yeah, Szeth hasn't said it to Dalinar yet (that's going to be interesting) which is probably why it's not there.
  17. Deleting topics is something that generally doesn't happen. (I tried once, and got a grand total of nowhere). We just ignore the threads that dead-end.
  18. Lift was probably some event on the streets that relates to why she doesn't want to grow up. Renarin has to deal with the negative stigma of being a male who can't fight in a heavily warrior-focused culture. Jasnah was probably the childhood insanity/stuff stemming from that. Lopen was probably either losing his arm or being on a bridge crew. The cracks are variable, and most of the ones we see on-screen are extreme examples, so you wouldn't need to go as far as Kelsier or Kaladin has to get powers, they just happen to have gone that far as part of their characterization.
  19. What do y'all think is the ideal studio for a game based on the events of Mistborn? I would say Bethesda, if it wasn't for the recent debacles there and their penchant for physics issues.
  20. Granted, but you can only read Ancient Greek. I wish to develop a non-destructive, useful Quirk.
  21. That might be the issue in and of itself.
  22. Nale has, so it can't be that. The Oath is probably as simple as "I will embody the law."
  23. Sadly for you, you're going to have to deal with Renarin related stuff for a while yet, since his book is book 7.
  24. I'm still a subscriber to the theory that Plate is made of a bunch of little "lesser" spren, the mindless ones, thus circumventing that restriction.
  25. She is actually straight up converting the food to Stormlight. It's not like Allomancy, where the metals are the gateway to the power, she is just converting directly. Resonances form when you have a power and if molds slightly to you, just your flavor of that magic ability. Generally if you have enough powers to have some from multiple Shards (excluding the Shards that have melded their Investiture together [willfully or not] to make that magic), you don't get a resonance because the powers don't get a chance to resonate with your Cognitive/Spiritual selves because there's so many of them. No subtlety in, say, a Mistborn, with 16 powers, so no resonance. Twinborn can and do have resonances, but going much further than 2 powers like that seems to cross the threshold that we've seen.
