  1. Page 373 of my version: "It was harder than it seemed. He had to make sure to strike with the axe in ways that Penrod could block. Several times, he had to tap speed from one of his spiked-which doubled as a Feruchemical metalmind- to suddenly inch his axe in the right direct, lest he accidentally behead the king of Luthadel."
  2. Well, rusts, now I'm even more confused. Here I was thinking Calderis's explanation made sense.
  3. In Hero of Ages, Marsh says that one of his Inquisitor spikes functions also as a metalmind. How? Shouldn't the spike be Invested to the level that there's no "room" for the Feruchemical storages? Is there an explanation for this that I missed? (If there is, it's probably something to do with Ruin messing with things or an Identity/Connection shenanigan)
  4. I'm aware, but I will never miss a chance to make a joke out of that graphic now that I've dug it out of the depths of my hard drive.
  5. They studied the law codes of everything, and paid attention to as much as they could with regards to body language and stuff so that they could find out who is guilty or innocent and then dole justice properly.
  6. Nah, that's geology class.
  7. Biology classes on Roshar must be easy, when all they need to do is memorize this diagram.
  8. There's some chapters on his website. Mostly Bridge 4 stuff, as far as I know.
  9. Fun fact about this discovery: it was mostly due to a pair of graduate students that the image was able to be captured. One's name is Katie Bouman, and she needed 8 racks of hard drives, each with 8 drives in them to store all the data from the image, and she was mostly in charge of the data managing and putting together the image itself. The other was Andrew Chael, who helped calibrate the sensors and set the data collection sequence up, along with a rough structure. 5 petabytes of information went into this photo. Insane.
  10. It's less like he doesn't have it figured out (he goes very in-depth with his planning), but more that we're still missing pieces to put it together properly, which seems very likely.
  11. "Ah, so you are attempting to make a spren or something similar, yes? Only differing Investiture, if I understand correctly, then put the resulting being to use, correct?
  12. I think he'd enjoy time with Galladon.
  13. I liked Hrathen and Dilaf both, for different reasons. Paalm was nice, as was Ati's Ruin. Trell has the potential to be very neat in Era 3. The Ones Above might just take the cake on my favorite, though, solely because they're really cool.
  14. Oh no, y'all. That's where Vax is. It's in the Cognitive reflection of a black hole.
  15. Kaladin and Vin if it's on a battlefield. "We have to minimize the fight-and she's killing everyone. Okay then." Wayne and Lightsong would be interesting, I agree. Tindwyl and Jasnah would be nice.
  16. "It has certainly been interesting," Okame smiled. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in the way you are attempting to mix Investiture. Is it just through breeding, or are we doing it...the messy way?"
  17. I don't want to put that much stress on Sandman. Dude's working enough as is.
  18. Reading order doesn't really matter. Just read what you want to read next, but after you've read it all, be sure to go back and read Stormlight again for a few fun surprises.
  19. "Killing us I do not think is likely," interrupts Okame. "Though forcing some of us to potentially merge is another story entirely. Also, nice trick with the fire."
  20. I thought about that. Decided against it, though.
  21. Perfect storage, minimal decay.
