A bond which was frayed because of the confusion that Moash had created in Kaladin’s mind in the first place. I feel angry at Moash when I read WoR because he almost cost Kaladin his radianthood and then at the end, he sets him aside and says you can not protect him any longer, let me do what I want to do.

Guess That Cosmere Character! Forum Edition!
Aon Tia replied to Kidpen's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
kelsina? Era 2? She could heal right? Next clue? -
Braize, it has in world importance and odium is trapped there and trying very hard to leave the place well I suppose doomstick has already guessed Rosharan system and all the planets in it so it should be a no. Is it the flying ship in era 2 that Alik was trying to escape from?

Yes agreed. We just don’t know what exactly some of the surges do like cohesion, tension, transportation and division even. But the orders and the surges they share is accurate as pathfinder has put it.

Please do not just take my last comment and say I am accusing people for hating him. Look at all my comments, I am strongly in the camp that dislikes Moash. I also said just above the comment you quoted: So I have already said what you are saying. Thank you @AonEne for agreeing with me there. Agreed. I have also said that I believe he had other options. He went with the easiest and quickest one. Kill the one who wronged you. I prefer the route kaladin took with regard to Amaram and look at the satisfactory results he got, although it required him to have patience and put his faith in Dalinar and not take matters in his own hands. I am not saying that he could get justice against the King!! But Roshone atleast, who is the real culprit could have been brought down. but the truth is that even Roshone seemed to be or atleast his wife, Laral are doing good for his people now! At the human war camps also, he scoffed at how the light eyes were still incharge but did nothing to change any of it. Unlike Kaladin. Haha.. and @Honorless me too?!!

Exactly agreed. @AonEne yea he does respect Kaladin and generally hates himself because he thinks he did not deserve to be part of bridge 4. Which does give hope for redemption. But I think it can only happen with all of bridge 4 forgiving him and accepting him back and not just kaladin alone.

Yeyy to the idea! My eyeglasses are jumping up and down in anticipation

Or because it is just convenient to hate him or to say that you hate him in the face of so much ridicule you will face if you say, you don’t.

I think both ways of looking at the scene are valid. You can look at this like you said and others have looked at it the way they describe. At best, this scene is a controversial scene. People have the right to hate him. Just like people also have the right to love him or sympathise with him. That is the beauty of Sanderson’s work for me. But bashing people who like Moash needs to stop! No doubts in my mind there.

Swept up.... I don’t think I agree here with you. He is not as much a victim of his circumstances as you are making it out to be. In WoR, he did have a chance to make a different choice but he chose revenge and actively went with Graves. Revenge also he chose to take against Elhokar who happened to be available and not Roshone who was the real perpetrator. He could have chosen to let go. He had been made a shardbearer and he could have empowered himself and worked towards improving the lives of other darkeyes but no. He learnt everything that Kal had to offer in combat but had a narrow viewpoint on how to use it. Beaten down yes, but not by singers or human action. He is beaten down by his own bad choices and mistakes and guilt. I think the reason readers take that Salute as a “screw you” is because the last time Moash and Kaladin were face to face, it was at the end of WoR where Moash had got so close to take “his revenge” and was prevented from doing so by Kaladin. And then in this scene, despite Kaladin being present, Moash is able to come in and kill Elhokar. He kills him looks at kaladin and salutes him. So, I read it as this time you could not stop me buddy. I did what you prevented from happening last time. You could not save him and I was able to kill him. Bye.

Suddenly I know where I would like to shift if I ever get to live in Cosmere

I always thought that Jasnah’s chapter heading shows Shadesmar Sun, seeing as she is an elsecaller it fits too. interesting stuff about kaladin’s chapter heading. So he may become an Alethkar Highprince some time in the future? I have also always wondered if the faces we see, which I assume are heralds, have any significance

Hush hush.. but I opened your drawer when I should not have. Was forced to leave this tiny gem there. It says “ I do the same” But I find that I can reread Dalinar’s flashbacks especially once Evi arrives on the scene and departs. I do have to confess that aside from Flashbacks, I do skip (or more like read very very fast) Shallan’s chapters sometimes when I am rereading OB. I also skip interludes and many times read them later in one go!
