About this part my first impression are that he are talking about Hoid - Old, listining to songs, playing in wolrd events.

 

Hoid said that the war in Roshar could shake the pillar of sky, so mostly Roshar are a conflux place for all people that are playng the great cosmere game. Some players are already there. Vasher, Hoid, probaly the Terris woman. I will wait and see because something will happen =)

I say that Kal an Lan  fit at least as best buddies but by the way if thing I bet in a very conturbed relantionship, with but not only:

 

- Love triangle

- Duel between friend for the girl

- Deep secrets like that a certain person killed someone brother

- Political problems

- A little cheating here or there

- And lot of bad choice form everyone 

- Two sprens that ae enemeis of which other

 

Adolin will fall for the dark side for being put aside for a "better person" jealous and the feeling that he aren't good and that his part in the great plan of thing will make do not so good thing.

 

Shallan will come to hate Kal for him have killed her brother

 

And good old Kal will be torn by his guilt for him desire the girl of a friend.

What was unexpected however, was that her father hadn't always been an abusive, bitter man. He was a father, protecting his child and taking all the blame for his wife's death which broke him. But he kept protecting her from everything, even from himself when he was at his worst. I felt sick when she killed him.

 

In a way, Shallan destroyed her family. Now, I do not blame a child for what happened, but it was what she did that lead to the destruction of her family. And she is still in denial. She told Kaladin her father killed her mother. To me, it felt like cheating. Instead, she confessed it in a normal chapter and didn't feel dramatic or new.

 

I was disappointed we didn't learn what Shallan said to make Pattern into a Blade and what broke her soul so a Nahel bond could appear. It felt to me that we didn't learn really important pieces of information.

 

She did what she had to do. Not a easy thing and not a good thing. But she saved her brother, the great villain in this history are Shallan mother.

 

Also waht are the connection of Shallan and Shalash ? She draw her out of nowhere, have he orders power, her name, to much foreshadowing going on here at raised some flags to me.

Considering how much of an apparent chick magnet Adolin and Kaladin both are, I'd say this is gonna devolve into a Love Dodecahedron.

Love triangle are a thing, becasue this ship already sailed now what we dois wait for the storm =)

 

Adolin will suffer because his position and his importance will put in check, and likely he will have a little jealous of Kal for his powers.

Kaladin will suffer because he will desire his friend girl and with his inner conflict about have killed her brother.

Shallan wil suffer because she like Kal and Adolin and he also she will have a serious conflict because he Kal her brother.

 

Also Sky and Puppyspren will not be best friend what drive they Radiants apart.

 

And all Princesses of the wolrd will suffer because Lopen are too much to them, after all he shine and fly =)

It seems to me, what with the quote about Radiant Squires among the Windrunner order, that some of the other orders will in fact not have squires. If this is so, then those orders will likely have less members, assuming that squires become Radiants more quickly than normal people and that normal people can become squires via association and imitation (notice the similarities to the names of the surges? ).

 

The idea of squires becoming Knights themselves and subsequently training up more squires to become Knights is VERY cool. Hopefully it turns out to be how it works (at least for one order, if not multiple).

 

 Bondsmith had like 3 members in one of tthe epigraphs, after all, bonding the STORMFATHER aren't for everyone.

 

And i so happy that I called that the vision are Sprenn related, what I would never guess are that he spren are the stormfather=)

He made some dumb choices all the Moash case are infuriating, come on why give a shard to someone that wanted kill someone that you need protect ? He had other bridgeman for example Rock that deserved much more. 

 

Shallan and Kaladin was a curve ball to me, but to be true I think that them had  pretty nice interection.

 

Shallan give Kal a hard time and smacked him good in the head with some trues that he need listen. In true she gived him muchhhhhh more that she received from him. He are ready for die for her, but he would die for anyone in that situation it's kind his way of be. He openned up with her after she told her that he aren't the only person to suffer, I kind relate with that. For the other she related with him becasue she are kind like her and she didb't judge her or tired to stop her she let her be.

 

Probaly their will have some kind of flirt, Sanderson already prepared one reason to them fight (her brother death) if she forgive her they could be a thing. Sanderson also prepared a love rival so this will get spice, the I already can see the ship war forming with team kal and team adolin let wait and see.

 

In true the better parts of the book ( and in many Brandon books) are the fact that you can relate with the character and their lives given the way that them act and think, it make some things look very real. For tthe othe side some things look a litthe odd but overall the interction are one of the strong parts of the book =)

Lopen deserved, hard work determination, and "I never gonna let life get me down" are a powerful thing, i wann see him a full Radiant someday.

 

Man some time ago a posted that the bridge 4 harshy life would be a school of radiant I should have made a theory about that =)

 

Anyone also believe Skar and Drehy when they saved Adolin used stormlight ?

After reading reactions to WoR, I feel like I might be the only one who is hoping for Shallan and Kaladin...

They could turn out as best buddies but thet fit in a way that point to them being a couple or at least that they will have a "hot moment" down in the road.

 

They share to much. They both understand which other. Kal wouldn't try supress Shalkan freedom, and Shallan give Kal hope like Tien did (when a person are down have someone to give you hope are something powerful) Shallan humor mirror Kal mothers, and Kal grump way and smart mind give Shallan plenty of sport =) 

 

In true this was a curve ball to me I would never guess a Shallan/Kal couple, but after the clasm I kind get touched.

 

Shallan will be be the downfall of Adolin. He can't win Kal and and he pretty much lived his live always being in the top, now he are a underdog, this will be  harg blow. If he loose the only person that he really liked things will go down fast.

 

I see a Moash 2.0 in the next books.

Szeth received several deadly wounds in his batles and he cured himself almost immediately, they catched Jasnah off guard and later but she recupered herself and transported to Shadesmare( or potentially other wolrds) there she cured herself.

 

In true Hoid said that she had information that him wanted, so I kind believe that she teleported to other Wolrd and got stucked for a time.

 

I will look for a Jasnah Cameo in Brandon next works.

But Vasher's main sword fighting tactic with it was to throw it at "bad guys" and let them kill themselves with it, so he may have thrown it away. 

 

There is no reason that Vasher won't be in Warbreaker 2, keep in mind that Warbreaker is after Hero of Ages, The Way of Kings is happening "slightly before" Alloy of Law, which is ~300 years after Hero of Ages, which is before Warbreaker. 

 

So Vasher has about 300 years to have his sequel and still make it to Roshar to have been working for the Kholin family for ~12 years as a swordmaster ardent

 

 

This would do, I could be wrong but i did recall Vasher traveling "the wolrd" and talking in realmitc terms (so he have cosmere knowlegde). His travel could be much more than at looked at first glace.=)

I myself enjoyed the book. I goona th the thing down a bit (2 days readind non stop are a little fo much to me) and after a month or soo i gonna read the thing again to see if my oppinion saty the same.

Indeed. Princess of the wolrd beware THE Lopen comes =)

She kind of taked a level in badass. I liked but it seemed I litle rushed perhaps ?

 

I really liked her interaction with Kaladin. And kind get annoying with her jumping him Adolin arms to a little later snap at him out of nowhere about being looked by him, when tried to keep her safe. (calm down woman)

 

Overall she acted in contraditory way in some parts like she didn't know at she wanted, and that look good for me given the fact that she is fitting in her shoes now (or someone shoes).

 

Bonus point because she liked Rock =)

Well Adolin are set to fall for the Dark side.  He are unsure of himself and at the side so many greater people then him (Radiants) If Shallan fall to Kal he will take blow in this pride and feel betrayed turning to the dark side in a Vader act.

It is nightblood ? Sure looks like but Vasher are immortal and wouldn't part with the sword soo, no Warbreak II with Vasher?

Talking about cross-over And where they got the new Szeth sword ? Nightblood cousin or something ?

You should look for squires in the first book too. (And I'm not talking about the prelude.)

 

I think that I spotted this one. Many bridgeman (Hobbler Teft and Skar for example) cured fast that they should in book one. Teft said that the one of his injurries he did'nt hurt as at should and he didn't get any side affect from as would in the arm that should maked in "have dificult to fight"
