  1. Moash was once a good friend but it all came to an end when Moash sought revenge He became elenged And fled the seen with a stranger.
  2. Ok. So, this could be foreshadowing for Sazed becoming Harmony. I think the real forsgadowing for adonalsium is when Sazed says something along the lines of the shards feeling like they belonged together. I still find it unlikely that Sazed is going to becoming Adonalsium. I just don’t think that he knows enough, and I kinda doubt that he wants to. Sazed will almost definitely play a major role though.
  3. So I have been looking at peoples thoughts on this in other topics, and most people seem to be in agreement that the third bondsmith spren is a combination of Honor and Cultivation. I know this is very unlikely, (but I have learned to expect he unexpected from Sanderson) but is it possible that the third bondsmith spren is not of Honor, Odium, or Cultivation, and is instead of a different shard that isn’t on Roshar, but has a splinter that just happens to be on Roshar for whatever reason (similar to Patji)?
  4. If a shard called Unity were to exist it is more likely that it would be a combination of shards like Harmony. Wisdom is not likely to be a shard. If by hinted at you mean when Hoid talks about how he and wisdom aren’t on good terms (I can’t remember the exact quote and I don’t want to find it) he refers to wisdom with a lower case w, which he would not do if wisdom was in fact a shard.
  5. So, something I remember seeing somewhere is that Mistborn Gen 4 will be the end of the Cosmere. This supports your theory, but I think it is more likely that someone else will end up reuniting Adonalsium, if anyone. I can’t tell from your original post whether or not you have actually finished Hero of the Ages. If you have not, you really should finish it before discussing this topic.
  6. So we currently know 10 shards: Devotion, Odium, Preservation, Ruin, Dominoin, Cultivation, Honor, Endowment, Autonomy, and Ambition. My theory is that every shard has an opposite. Ruin and Preservation are obvious, but some of the pairs are a little less obvious. Odium, which means an exetreme hate, would be opposites with Devotion, Autonomy, which means self governing, would be opposite with Dominion, which basically means governing over others. I am less certain about the rest, and suspect we have not met their opposites. We still have Cultivation, Honor, Endowment, and Ambition. These 4 would pair up with 4 of the undiscovered shards, and there is still an undiscovered pair. I think it is possible that the possible Survival shard would be Cultivation’s opposite because things that “just survive” don’t grow. Honor’s opposite would be something along the lines of Disgrace. Endowment would be something along the lines of taking, maybe Appropriation. Ambition would be Satisfaction. Of course, this still leaves 2 shards open to possibilities. Please let me know your thoughts or ideas for better opposites.
  7. I mean, it could be possible that Patji could have been intentionally trying to keep her alive. Also, Vathi is not incapable of surviving. She did kill one of the Nightmaws showing that she isn’t incapable of surviving.
  8. The only explanation I can think of where asteroid belts would be connected to a shard being shattered is if the asteroids where made out of that shards god metal, or an alloy of it, which I kinda doubt.
  9. It is an interesting theory. We definetly don’t know enough about Hemalurgy and Lerasium to come up with any sort of conclusive answers. Something where I think you might be wrong though is Lerasium being an opposite of Atium. We know that the 16 regular metals are all in pairs, and then there are pairs of pairs, making 4 groups of 4. The initial pairs are always the first metal, and an alloy of it. Those are the ones that are opposite. This would mean that atium’s opposite is malatium. This would probably mean that Lerasium falls into the same group of four as atium, but is not atium’s direct opposite, meaning Lerasium could do pretty much anything, although it most likely has to do with time and the spirit realm. About Lerasium spikes, is it possible that you end up with a spike that not only has perfect hemalurgy, but grants any other spikes you have perfect hemalurgy as well?
  10. So yeah... I kinda forgot about that. So let’s assume that they weigh as much as their normal counter part, does that mean when you shrink them down to a smaller size that they change weight, or does the weight remain the same, simply more dense? Also, anybody happen to know how much nightblood ways, just randomly curious.
  11. So, I doubt it is possible to take a Shardblade's Shardblady powers. Sure, you can make things that it can't cut as easily as everything else, like half shards, other shards, and aluminum, but that doesn't take the Shardblades power, it simply counters it. Shardblades would remain unbreakable no matter what they are hitting. They are made of pure investure, so it would be impossible to take its power. So the thing is, we have no idea how sharp a shardblade actually is. For all we know they could be just like oversized magical butter knives. Although, anybody with a living shardblade in this situation would simply have the shardblade becoming much sharper if it wasn't sharp enough already. When you mention a "Sharp, indestructible sword, being wielded by a man in shardplate, being swung with the force of a ton" you seem to forget that shardblades weigh practically nothing. This would mean, since force is Mass x Acceleration, that the shardblade would actually have a significantly smaller force than you might expect, and it would probably be more effect for somebody in shardplate to just punch the shield. Also, this brings up the question of whether or not a shardblade has to be sharp to cut something easily. In OB Shallan is seen making her blade dull for a duel, but how dull does the sword have to be before it reaches a point where it can't cut things? How sharp does it have to be to cut things? Is it because Shallan doesn't want to cut things at that moment? Also, what if you don't have the shardblade take the form of a sword, as is seen multiple times in Oathbringer, but instead choose a dull object, does this completely negate the cutting effects of a shard, because as I mentioned earlier, Shardblades are super light, so using them for anything that doesn't involve cutting would be super ineffective unless a radiant can change their shardblade's weight.
  12. This is a very interesting theory, and we know so little about Adonal that we can't rule anything as impossible yet. I kinda doubt this is what happened exactly, although it is possible that something similar is what occurred and we are simply missing details. I do find it unlikely though that 16 individuals would be able to "think" of Adonal as 16 pieces and make it happen, even with a super weapon of sorts. Another major thing that I think this theory is missing is Hoid. Where does he fall into this?
  13. This brings me to my thoughts on what “something” could be. Is it possible that Hoid somehow bonded with Adonalsium before the shattering, he does mention “I made a vow... I said I would always be there when I was needed” Could this be somehow similar to an ideal of a radiant, and if so, is it possible that he helped shatter Adonalsium by breaking that vow, similar to what occurred in the recreance?
  14. So I saw earlier in a different thread that you said that Hoid isn’t quite human, although he was at some point, but his spiritual DNA was altered. Is it possible that this happened due to a bond similar to a Nahel bond, except not with a spren but more likely a Dragon or something (I have more thoughts on what that “something” could be, but imma leave it at that for now). This would then alter his spirit web making him what he is. Is that possible?
  15. I still think it is more logical that if the stormfather is entirely of honor and the Nightwatcher of cultivation that the sibling would be of Odium
  16. You mentioned the dagger taking whatever bond him to the Oathpact and trapped it in the gemstone. Personally I think this is more likely then it taking his entire soul, and Odium most likely plans to use this. I would guess that Odium is capable of transferring that piece of the Oathpact to a different person, probably Moash. This would have many benefits for Odium, the most obvious of which being that Moash would then be immortal and able to return to life like the Heralds. A slightly less obvious, but considerably more vital part is that now the Oathpact can no longer hold the voidbringers back because Moash could simply break it every time and unleash them again.
  17. So, personally I doubt this theory. I haven't taken the time to read through what everyone else has said other than the first few replies, so if anybody already mentioned this I apologize for repeating it. So far, the 2 spren who we know are the Siblings are the Stormfather and the Nightwatcher, who are the most powerful spren of Cultivation and Honor. Naturally, this would lead us to believe that the third spren is of Odium. If I had to guess this third sibling is not one of the unmade, although it is possible, in which case I would guess that the third bondsmith is in fact Aesudan who bonded with one of the unmade. I don't think that the third sibling is one of the 9 unmade because the unmade don't seem quite as powerful as the Nightwatcher and Stormfather, and I think it is probably a spren we have never seen before. If I had to guess Cusicesh is probably around the same level of the unmade.
  18. When did we find out that gold is of Odium? I already all the Stormlight Archives.
  19. Hi, so this is the first time I looked at the forum area, I have Elantris, Stormlight Archives, Mistborn (all of them) Warbreaker, and the Reckoners. I have managed to get multiple of my friends to read Mistborn, the Reckoners, Warbreaker, Stormlight Archives, and Elantris. If anyone could tell me where the best place on these forums is fro sharing theories about the Cosmere please let me know. Also, if anybody knows who the people on the inside cover of Oathbringer are, please let me know that as well.
