  1. DF is saying killing Axl as an E!CS clears the CW. Good catch DF. As an E!CS you never wanna do it because Village is sussing Axl and going into D2 with Axl's alignment unsure and the possibility of people revisiting it is good. Conversely it is true E!CS needs to make a conceivable pro-Village shot but e.g. Iguana, Octo, Rhino, Weasel just going off yesterday on the assumption these are Villagers are pro-Village shots. There's no especial reason to do Axl. Which...fair point. I guess they could be afraid of the Lurch and gambling on Axl not self-protecting but IDK. OOOOOOOOH Okay I get it I doubt village has two Coinshots however, so I'm assuming the Axl attack most likely came from a village Mistborn Also, I've been wondering for a while, what's CW?
  2. Huh? Violet Axolotl is no use dead? Has Axolotl claimed Coinshot? I'm confused What I'm saying is the distro I think is most likely is elims have a coinshot and village gets a couple lurchers to compensate Perhaps I need to reread D1 (which I know I said I wasn't gonna do but honestly my options are either that or treat this as C1 which is just foolish) Also Dragonfly I apologize for any hate I gave you early in the game
  3. H.E.A.R.T.H hesitated. "Perhaps... I can tell you a story?" It had been another charging session of memories. H.E.A.R.T.H had lived a second life now - a life in damnation, a life of punishment. Perhaps it would be good to share the visions that haunted it still. Worth noting the high risk of an Octopus kill. Let's say Octopus is elim, the odds of which I see relatively low but non-zero: we killed an elim, great. No let's say Octopus is village, the odds of which I see as very high: we just killed our Coinshot. Not good, at all, especially since I'm leaning towards an elim Coinshot at the moment. Alright, more analysis: Here's a summary of D2 (meaningful stuff) so far: Octopus claims Coinshot. Heron does a lot of good stuff, votes Iguana as main suspicion. Matches up with their D2 reads. Beagle shows up, gives some RP. Dragonfly implies Beagle protection, congratulates Octopus. Dingo shows up, teases Heron, susses Flamingo. Dragonfly votes Rhino. I vote Iguana as temp accusation for potential distancing from Kanga Zebra shows up, RPs, nothing else Flamingo shows up, RPs, nothing else Toucan shows up, RPs, says posting little is good strategy to avoid suspicion, posts little Heron becomes our party mentor Toucan implies being vanilla Violet Axolotl shows up, RPs, no reads Weasel says they plan on analysing Beagle’s past posts. Weasel, how’s that going? Octopus posts reads, votes Iguana. - v!Axolotl - v!Gecko (aww, thanks) - Neutral Toucan - Neutral Elephant - Neutral Meerkat - e!Iguana. Doesn’t say why. - Neutral Zebra - v!Beagle - Neutral Flamingo - v!Heron - e!Dingo - v!Dragonfly - v!Weasel Albatross shows up, says nothing Beagle votes Iguana without clear reasoning Iguana does superficial analysis, votes Toucan for night vote on Axl Zebra once again RPs with no analysis. I vote Toucan to spread out pressure. Meerkat comes after me for supporting Dragonfly. Weasel presses Iguana. I feel like a lot of people here really aren’t on the same page about established stuff. Ooh, Weasel did look at Beagle’s past posts. Susses Elephant and Axolotl (so for me, just Elephant), and votes Octopus for weird claim. Toucan votes Octopus for claiming Coinshot reasons. Beagle switches vote to Rhino for not fulfilling contribution promises. I actually find that slightly v!leaning; I think an elim is far more inclined to not let themselves get distracted by real life. Elephant votes Octopus. Guys I’m not liking this. After my short analysis, Elephant retracts Octopus vote, saying they didn’t realize Coinshot claim. What I get from this: First, Dingo has been having quite the thread presence for someone who has not given a single read. Second, I don't like the pileup on Octopus at all. I have to say Elephant is gaining a little bit of cred for that reaction, but once again, y'all READ. LET'S ALL GET ON THE SAME PAGE. PLEASE. Anyways I think I'm gonna follow my gut and switch from Toucan to Weasel, and I'll have to look again at Weasel D1 but I'm not liking their D2 so far. I disagree with the fact that Beagle needed anything more than a Kanga suspicion to become an elim threat, and I don't like the attacks on Octopus. Will be back with more.
  4. Alright it's been a while but I'm here now Knowing AG1 is a crazy flex Alright, actual analysis: So we're working with the following VC: Violet Axolotl (4); Onyx Flamingo, Mint Heron, Melon Dingo, Mauve Crocodile Scarlet Octopus (1); Saffron Iguana Sapphire Elephant (1); Sunburst Toucan Salmon Meerkat (2); Sapphire Elephant, Magenta Albatross Sage Kangaroo (5); Taupe Gecko, Salmon Meerkat, Oxblood Beagle, Ivory Dragonfly, Indigo Weasel Mauve Crocodile (1); Quartz Zebra Ivory Dragonfly (2); Violet Axolotl, Scarlet Octopus Indigo Weasel (1); Sage Kangaroo No Vote (3): Opal Lion, Plum Rhino, Pearl Chameleon Green players are those who played a crucial role in the Killing of Kanga plus Octopus cause they presumably took out Croc. For all purposes, however, the true VC (the one the elims were prepared for) is this one: Violet Axolotl (6): Oxblood Beagle, Onyx Flamingo, Mint Heron, Melon Dingo, Mauve Crocodile, Ivory Dragonfly Scarlet Octopus (1): Saffron Iguana Sapphire Elephant (1): Sunburst Toucan Salmon Meerkat (2): Sapphire Elephant, Magenta Albatross Sage Kangaroo (2): Salmon Meerkat, Indigo Weasel Mauve Crocodile (1): Quartz Zebra Ivory Dragonfly (3): Violet Axolotl, Scarlet Octopus, Sage Kangaroo Indigo Weasel (1): Taupe Gecko Considering how long this stood, I'm pretty certain the elims were satisfied with it, so I'm willing to soft-clear Axolotl. Additionally, if Axolotl were truly evil, then Croc's vote this late in the game - especially considering there was never a retraction - would be super weird. Aaaaand I really don't know. My brain is kinda dead right now. Gimme a while to reread the cycle so far and I'll get back to you (this is what I wrote up yesterday). In the meanwhile, @A Jo in the Bush, can we get an updated VC? Also, once again, please: EVERYONE READ THE RUSTING WRITEUPS I'm starting to get tired
  5. Hey guys So I started writing a longer post earlier but my cousins arrived and then I spent time with them and then they got in a fight and then I had to unwind and now I need to sleep and don’t have access to my computer anyways But I promise, thoughts are cooking For now, I’mma switch from Iguana (who seems to be a popular target right now) to Toucan. Toucan, I’ve got nothing in particular against you, but you’re the only other person with a vote right now and I think we benefit from putting more people in danger See y’all tomorrow … Croc is dead Y’all really need to start reading these writeups
  6. Decently Probably a couple But it’s better not to claim that
  7. “Not good” Me, who knows who this guy is:
  8. @Opal Lion@Pearl Chameleon@Plum Rhinoceros How does it be going?
  9. Saffron Iguana Gonna leave that there for now Who hasn’t appeared yet? Like, at all?
  10. Dang bro how do you know so much about Zebra?
  11. Well, can’t argue with results!
  12. It actually seems to me based off of the writeup like Beagle survived via Thug powers But maybe that’s just me looking into the flavor too much Also, can I just say, guys, how incredible our luck this game has been? Like absolutely wild
  13. Nothing. Then life. H.E.A.R.T.H was alive. Slowly, he rose. He felt his wheels, his torso, his head. He felt… a wetness. Just a drop. A tear had formed. H.E.A.R.T.H cried out. He wiped it with a finger, and held it before his eyes. A tiny, single drop of water. Then more came. Stronger and stronger. For the first time aboard the TYRIAN, the floor was stained with robot tears.
  14. H.E.A.R.T.H sat alone in the mess hall as it ran its analysis. Funny, how this chamber had been so full for most of the day. Now, it sat empty, quiet, almost peaceful. The calm before the storm. But inside, H.E.A.R.T.H's mind was panic. The monsters were likely to strike again before dawn. It was merely the way things went. And so - despite everything, despite the world it had only just began to discover - H.E.A.R.T.H's story could end here. There was no way around it. No escape. Its survival depended on the choice of killers and saboteurs. H.E.A.R.T.H could die here. But its story could not. It would not allow it. And so H.E.A.R.T.H began to solve. Using the Dingo's notes: H.E.A.R.T.H didn't have the time to go over the specific cases of each of these; a timestamp for the votes would have been nice, but no matter. It would have to work with what it had available. H.E.A.R.T.H was never partial to reads. They were so abstract, so prone to change, so dependent in minute variations in order. So H.E.A.R.T.H intended to take as precise an approach as possible. Examining the Kangaroo's behavior: The first noted meaningful appearance of Kanga was to vote the Croc - a "double poke". Wait. What? Dingo's notes were... incorrect. That was annoying. (OOC - Dingo what the heck man. You didn't note my first vote on Croc and when I retracted you said I did it onto "myself"? "Gimmick"?) Anyways, Kanga backed up H.E.A.R.T.H to start a train on the Croc. The next mention of Kanga was a poke from Iguana. Meerkat then voted Kangaroo as well - presumably with no reason. The next mention of Kanga was Axolotl getting off the train - what the rusts? These notes made no sense. With only 20 minutes till dawn, H.E.A.R.T.H decided to take matters into their own hands. Logging into the TYRIAN's official recordings, it reviewed the events for itself. (OOC - I ended up doing a word search for Kangaroo in the main thread cause wtf Dingo). There! The first appearance of the Kangaroo - Isabel - was to poke the Crocodile (Sunday, 12 PM). So Dingo got that right. VC (as per Isabel): mauve crocodile:taupe gecko, sage kangaroo salmon meerkat: scarlet octopus Sapphire elephant: sunburst toucan Ivory dragonfly: indigo weasel Eventually, Iguana poked Isabel (Sunday, 3:24 PM). Axolotl also pokes Isabel shortly after (Sunday, 3:34 PM) with no reasoning. H.E.A.R.T.H viewed the possibility of one of these two early, meaningless votes to be potential distancing attempts by fellow monsters as likely. When analyzing, the Croc finds the Axolotl's hop on Isabel suspicious. On a random topic, while reviewing the records, H.E.A.R.T.H did not like an exchange between the Meerkat and the Octopus - the Octopus' side in particular, although both were weird. But with the clock ticking, it had no time to consider that now. Eventually, Isabel switched to Ivory Dragonfly for no reason (Sunday, 5:00 PM). Meerkat switches vote to Isabel for not having reasoning (Sunday 7 PM). For that, H.E.A.R.T.H finds it unlikely they were in collusion as that move would put Isabel in significant danger. VC: Scarlet Octopus (1): Ivory Dragonfly Sapphire Elephant (1): Sunburst Toucan Salmon Meerkat (2): Mauve Crocodile, Magenta Albatross Sage Kangaroo (3); Violet Axolotl, Salmon Meerkat, Saffron Iguana Saffron Iguana (1): Melon Dingo Mauve Crocodile (2): Taupe Gecko, Quartz Zebra Ivory Dragonfly (3): Scarlet Octopus, Sage Kangaroo, Indigo Weasel Eventually, Isabel reached a state of a three way tie for execution on Monday morning. H.E.A.R.T.H broke that state by voting the Dragonfly. Mint Heron dislikes Isabel while the Croc actively likes her. A while later, the Axolotl switches to the Dragonfly in self-preservation. Weasel votes Isabel (Monday 9:40 PM). Violet Axolotl (4): Onyx Flamingo, Mint Heron, Melon Dingo, Mauve Crocodile Sunburst Toucan (1): Ivory Dragonfly Sapphire Elephant (2): Sunburst Toucan, Oxblood Beagle Salmon Meerkat (2): Sapphire Elephant, Magenta Albatross Sage Kangaroo (3): Salmon Meerkat, Saffron Iguana, Indigo Weasel Mauve Crocodile (1): Quartz Zebra Ivory Dragonfly (4): Violet Axolotl, Taupe Gecko, Scarlet Octopus, Sage Kangaroo The Iguana returns and leaves Isabel to vote the Octopus. The Heron- H.E.A.R.T.H stopped. Five minutes. No, less. Less than five minutes until the ship announced its construct of dawn, and someone would be dead. And H.E.A.R.T.H might be dead. There was no more time. There HAD to be time. There was no time. H.E.A.R.T.H wheeled, frantic, shuffling through the recordings. None of them mattered. None of them could save it now. What- what to do? H.E.A.R.T.H saw a piece of paper lying on the table. Glorious. Alone, it began to scrawl. It scrawled down everything. The little it had found. THREE MINUTES Suspicions, suspicions, suspicions. What suspicions did it have? WHO WAS SUSPICIOUS? Heron was clear, Dragonfly was clear, the Beagle was clear, Meerkat? Maybe clear. Iguana had to be looked into. TWO MINUTES Octopus said something weird. Octopus had to be looked into. What else, WHAT ELSE? There was nothing else. H.E.A.R.T.H knew nothing else. H.E.A.R.TH knew nothing. Nothing. ONE MINUTE Everything was nothing. Death was nothing. Death was everything. A woman's arms. Lying. Coughing up blood. Smiling. She smiled back. A tear, falling. Nothing.
  15. Once again, H.E.A.R.T.H awoke with time to spare. This time, it left its chamber far heavier. This time, it had witnessed a death. The boy had been struck in battle, and the girl had carried him, she had smiled and joked and tried to laugh, but it was so far and so cold and he had died in her arms. H.E.A.R.T.H had died in her arms. He had to shake his head to free himself from the horror. But he couldn't. He couldn't escape the memories. So he would have to learn to live with them. For his own good. For the good of the TYRIAN. And it seemed there was much to distract him. To begin with, H.E.A.R.T.H heavily thanks the Heron for submitting this effort to the table. In its logs, H.E.A.R.T.H makes a mental recording of the Heron's suspicions to review later. H.E.A.R.T.H did want to make one comment, however. "I am inclined to believe the Axolotl is an ally for now. Before our interference at the very end of the day, it was set for death, and I doubt the monsters would have allowed it to remain in such a dangerous position. There is also, of course, the matter of the Claim." H.E.A.R.T.H disagrees. "In a crew this large, it is very possible two of us claimed Iron medallions. However, I would propose one of two possibilities: either two good lurchers and one evil coinshot, or one good lurcher and one good coinshot and one evil lurcher. Of course, this is my first crew of this magnitude." Axolotl, since you already went to bed I don't know if you'll see this, but I want to make some things clear: Next cycle, if you are alive, we will wish to know who you protected. And on that matter, I would highly recommend protecting the Heron. Claiming Lurcher is absolutely useless to the village if you only use it to self pres, and you're already suspected; your abilities would be best used on someone we know is good, and at this point, Mint Heron is a valuable resource. That sound caught H.E.A.R.T.H's attention. Something about those words resonated with its memories. And so, on a whim, it approached the merchant. "Greetings." It looked up at him. "I have no cash, but could I pay in any other form? Perhaps some service?"
  16. … did you read End of Day? Me and Dragonfly were two of the main campaigners for Kangaroo’s death … did you read the writeup? Guys for anyone who didn’t know when a character dies, their fate, alignment (good or evil) and role are all revealed in the writeup In this case: Right there If you don’t wanna get bogged down by the flavor just make sure to read what’s after the … @Melon Dingo I’ll read through your vote analysis when I have time and I’m not sleepy, hopefully tomorrow morning before rollover … There were only a few hours left in the night as H.E.A.R.T.H wheeled back into its charging port. It was a small chamber, hardly the soft beds the rest of the crew got. Funny. It had never thought about that before. As the ship’s only automaton, H.E.A.R.T.H had to charge three times in a cycle - two at day, one at night. Of course, night and day were only constructs in the void of space. As it made its way, it heard a debate down a side passage about the selling of some sort of blade, and ignored it. At last, it reached its destination. The boy had slept in a tent. No, He had slept in a tent. The One Who Was Now H.E.A.R.T.H. He had slept in many tents in his life, but one stood out. One he had shared. The mountain chill tried to break in from outside, but inside it was warm. It felt like home. H.E.A.R.T.H had never known home, it thought, as its code faded and gave way to memories once more.
  17. H.E.A.R.T.H had lived a life before this one. It was the only logical conclusion. The only explanation for its visions. It had spent the entire night submitting to them, navigating them, learning them. And the tale had begun to form. It was a tale of a boy, and a girl. Of a dreamer, and a soldier. Of two warriors. Of war, and loyalty, and death. When H.E.A.R.T.H at last emerged from the memories, it returned to a world of silence. Funny how it had never noted that before. The world was so quiet, so empty, so clean. Where had passion gone? Where was love, and heartbreak? The thoughts caused a deep sadness in H.E.A.R.T.H that could not be shaken. H.E.A.R.T.H had lived a life before this one. It had been a life filled with struggle and pain, but it had been beautiful. And the TYRIAN - and its mission - paled in comparison. H.E.A.R.T.H shook its head. Those thoughts were dangerous. There were still monsters onboard. There were still lives in danger, and there were still pirates promising their death. Now was not the time for introspection. Now was the time for discussion, and action. Rolling into the mess hall one last time in the night, H.E.A.R.T.H overheard the comment of the Albatross. "What counter train? The one upon Kangaroo? I beg to differ. The formation of that train was so sudden, so unexpected, so unreasoned, so glorious in its spontaneity that it was almost certainly entire comprised of loyal crewmembers - at least in the votes that came following the suggestions of the Beagle and I." H.E.A.R.T.H greeted Klin. "The Kangaroo is dead. She was evil - and executed in a hammer train led by me, the Beagle, the Heron, and the Dragonfly. The Dragonfly has claimed Lurcher." THANK YOU Okay guys GTG for now Will get some more RP in before I go to bed
  18. Gonna make a longer post later, but yes @Ivory Dragonfly, if you are indeed a Lurcher, this is what you gotta do
  19. H.E.A.R.T.H nodded along. That reasoning made sense. It did, however, raise a question. "Where did Meerkat and Iguana go?"
  20. "Dragonfly and who? Regardless, I've cleared Dragonfly for their end of day actions anyways."
  21. Alright so I just checked and I'mma clear Heron, Beagle, and Dragonfly as all village Dang I love killing elims CONCRETE INFO IT'S AWESOME
  22. Alright I think I'm somewhat recovered from that shock H.E.A.R.T.H spun in a crazed circle. Inside its head, thoughts raced in a frantic neverending stream. One rose above all others. They had DONE IT. The impossible had occured; a monster was dead, the loyal crew intact. It was almost too good to be true. But true it was. As true as the memories of fire and blood and war, of a girl and a ravine and a leap- memories? Me-mo-ries? That was a matter for a different time. For now, H.E.A.R.T.H exulted. It's wheels screeched as it barreled down corridors at full speed, but it didn't stop. Parts jangled and its arms flailed wildly, but it celebrated in its chaos. Until, at last, it slowed. Coming from inside the mess hall. Sounds of discussion. The place had become the defacto debate chamber, it seemed. Giving itself a second to cool down, H.E.A.R.T.H waited a minute and then pushed open the doors, entering the mostly empty hall. It was massive, yet there were only a couple faces seated in a tight circle. H.E.A.R.T.H wheeled over and joined them. "I'd actually disagree," H.E.A.R.T.H chimed. "It is not the start of the train that is purest, but its end. Those who held the power in their hands, and chose Death to the monster. While I will have to review the list, I would consider clear only those who voted the Kangaroo in the final minutes of the day - when they knew exactly what they were doing." H.E.A.R.T.H turned to Chiji's sudden remarks. "Why would this clear Dragonfly?" We can't vote right now
