    Opal Lion for now. I wasn't around to see the lynch that formed on you near the end of D2 but not claiming Elsecaller in that situation is quite incriminating in and of itself. They did post after Falcon's vote on them, and I'm guessing the rest of the votes hadn't taken long to follow, so it's probable that they in fact were around. Though I can't be sure since the posts don't show a timestamp like they usually do...they're all just marked 31 Dec 2019. @Opal Lion could you shed some light on this please? One of the kills was via dustbringer - interesting that they didn't target one of the barely actives or Opal Also, @Elbereth Can we rely on the writeups when it comes to differentiating between an elim and dustbringer kill?

    Precisely. It’s more likely for them to hit the elims if it’s a larger team, which makes it better for it to be a smaller team for balance reasons. But I think discussing elim team sizes is useless, so I’ll stop now. Interesting. xD

    Well Think of it this way, imagine if two or three elims randomly all receive Dustbringer in the same cycle? Unlike the village, the elims actually know who they need to target, so a large elim team would be pretty scary. And I suspect most of the village kills would just end up helping the elims. In that sense a small elim team makes sense to me, because that in a way ensures that they have less potential kills. I’d be more than happy to vote elsewhere - as I’ve said in my previous post, I don’t think we’re really going anywhere with the whole toucan/iguana discussion (I’m not completely sold on the idea of a bus because I just don’t understand what motives the elims might’ve had for it, save for toucan being an elim) And my vote was meant to leave it to the Gods of Luck and Chance, because there’s no denying that lynching one of them will give us useful info on how to proceed, plus I don’t see any other way this vote can go. I agree that Iguana is the more active one, and I’m honestly almost indifferent to which of the two gets lynched as I think they both provide equal amount of info. But killing the active ones should probably be avoided whenever possible, so I might just remove my vote from Iguana since it’s not really even tied anymore. If you think neither of them are elims, vote on me.

Though I suppose, like someone else said, that their lack of substantial posting was probably what got them vigilante’d. Fair, but that really would’ve been a standard response from just about anyone, given the situation. Take this whole lynch discussion this turn’s been about till now, for example. Do you have any gut reads that you’d like to pursue?

    That would make them an almost guaranteed NK target for N2, as a cleared villager is as big a threat as any. I'd say just keep it to yourself for now, until you scan a villager yourself (assuming you're a worldhopper) I have been discussing this possibility with a player in PMs, and I agree that it does make more sense now that we've sorta come to a consensus that we're all worldhoppers, so the argument that bussing a teammate with a role that important has been effectively shot down. However, something that still bothers me is why the elims didn't execute it better, assuming it was indeed a bus. It was on D1, last-minute, and with 3 votes (one of them a villager, NK'd now). The elims would have gained a lot more by carefully planning a bus so that more than just one of them becomes trusted, preferably to "clear" some players who had been under some general suspicion from the thread. But this lynch that we had D1 just didn't seem to be all that purposeful to be perfectly honest. The only way that really makes sense to me is if Toucan is also an elim. But it was really just D1, and D1 events are always terribly arbitrary, in my experience. Hmm how plausible is it that only 2 elims are left now? Because if we're all worldhoppers, then it's pretty likely that some of us may end up killing each other if we get the dustbringer role, therefore helping the elims. In this scenario, wouldn't a 4-player elim team make a little sense? Doesn't really matter though, I guess. We actually are in a position were we can afford to have a few mislynches for the sake of info, so that lynch might not be so bad. Well then I guess today's lynch should prove whether that was hedging or not I don't think I ever talked about you in any of my posts actually, so I'm not sure where this is coming from. But if you want a definitive read from me on you and Toucan, I'm afraid I can't give you one. If Toucan flips elim, you are almost certainly one too. If you flip elim, Toucan is almost certainly one too. If you flip village, then this was all pointless just like everything else in a Rhino's life. If Toucan flips village, then you're probably village. This in mind, I think I'd like to do the honors of tying the lynch. Iguana At any rate, @Sunburst Toucan your notifications are probably exploding with all these mentions but your thoughts on this matter (or...on anything, really) would help a lot. Vote Count (probably correct): Iguana(2): Scorpion, Rhino Toucan(2): Falcon, Iguana Albatross(1): Mauve Falcon(1): Octopus But like I said before, I don't really think analysing the heck out of a D1 lynch is going to get us anywhere, and we still have plenty of time left in the turn, so I'm off to look at Ivory's posts. We should keep the discussion going, regardless of who we're lynching.

    Some quotes from last turn: The rules say that Worldhoppers are given roles at random, so there's really no way of telling whether there's a dustbringer in play right now. That's a very tricky role. My advice would be to get at least two villagers scanned first, and then inform them about each other in PM. This way, we can probably build a nice little PM network of scanned villagers. It'll be great. edit: there's also no redirects (YAY!) so there's little chance that could go wrong. The only complication is if an elim decides pretend to be a skybreaker and goes off telling people they've scanned them as village to pocket them. So if you do get someone PMing you about having scanned you, it'll be good to be a little wary. Falcon defends Zebra here, but it's not really much alignment indicative I guess. The one vote on Zebra at the moment was without reason, but I think this should still be noteworthy as all the other lynch candidates were RP and poke votes that didn't show many signs of going any further, so maybe elim!falcon thought Zebra was already a little at risk, especially as they were inactive and the turn was nearing its end? The answer is obvious...42, as I'm sure a wise scholar once said. This post reads weird. Maybe it's just because Albatross was on the other side of the votes...But an elim was up for the lynch, so a counter lynch forming against is expected. In that sense, Albatross does not look very good rn. PLus there's that sus vote manip. I feel slightly good about Toucan and Iguana, I think. Though I wonder...what are the odds that both Toucan and Zebra are elims? Rollover's at a weird time for most of us, so it's probable that most of the elim team was asleep and didn't get the chance to defend either of them? That does seem like a little bit of a stretch though. God, I wish I were a Skybreaker. XD

    o_0 Woah, we got an elim Worldhopper D1?! Jackpot! It appears that a vote was Willshaped on to Pearl, from someone who voted on Toucan. The other vote on Toucan mustve been canceled out by a Bondsmith. So naturally I guess it's pretty likely one of either Tuatara or Albatross is an elim, since one of them had added a vote on to Pearl to maybe try to save Zebra. I still need to catch up on the thread though so I'll be posting more thoughts in a while - apologies for not having posted much. My activity levels should be normal from now.

    Logalog valued sleep. So naturally, his homicidal tendencies flared up when he was rather violently shook awake by some squire he vaguely recognised. There had been a murder, he said. In this very room, he said. How could a man have slept through all that shouting and commotion that had followed afterward, he said. Logalog ignored the squire and rubbed his eyes, for he did not trust his tongue to respond in a socially acceptable manner after being disturbed out of his slumber like that. He glanced around the room and found it empty save for the the two of them. The Knights and squires had presumably left to work on mapping the viens of stone - that did not concern Logalog, though. He wasn't a Knight or a squire and definitely not a scribe. No, he'd only been sleeping in this room because it was nearest to the gem archive, which Logalog had been hoping to get a peek of. It was easy -even for him- to get past that one guard. As some great scholar like Logalog once said, "Life is a challenge. We must not waste time and...and..." Something. Mind over memory, that's what Logalog believed. - - - It was soon publicly known that the target of the murder in the night had been an Odium Sympathizer. How utterly disgusting, Logalog thought. He had apparently been trying to infiltrate the Knights Radiant. Bah. But if there was one, there will be more.

    I rubbed my wrists, finally free of the bonds. It had taken forever to cut myself free; all I'd had was an old needle. Nonetheless, I was free now. But where was I? I took a right out of the room, hoping I would run into someone who could answer my questions.

    I stood, blindfolded, in an alley. Somewhere, of course. Not that I knew where, exactly, but at least I still existed. I reached up and tried to take the blindfold off, but found that my hands were tied together. Some sort of... twine? It felt strange, somehow. Whatever it was, there was no way I was getting my hands out of it. I sighed, and slumped against the wall. "Help?" I called out. "Anyone?"

    I looked up at the buildings of Silverlight. The city was a marvelous place of study and learning. We had gathered here, I knew, for some purpose. They, likely, did not know themselves the full extent of what they were about to be involved in. But I did. And I was ready. I strode out into the open street, ready to meet whoever would come for me.

    One thing: Did I miss an announcement from before I showed up that explained exactly what you can do with RP points? Also, I find it rather odd that Jasnah hasn't been attacked yet. At this point, especially if they aren't a harm to anyone anymore, any chance the Kholin Killer could step up?

    Kelek shook in fear. It may not have been their first option, but the people were discussing the possibility of killing the Heralds. I... I can't go back to Damnation. That horrible, horrible place. No man should have to be there. The fact that Nale had died was bad enough-he was far more likely to break than Taln, especially after so long without being back there. Killing the other Heralds would only make it worse. This can not end with the Heralds dead.
