Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Sorry, I've been sick and busy the past couple of days, not feeling that much better, but my schedule has opened up quite a bit. Well. lots to comment on. Heron's dead, which makes quite a bit of sense, but it seems like we're in the final sprint of the game, so I don't think it will mean much. I have my list of who I've been protecting (Which has generally been horrible, sorry ) saved to my laptop, which I'll have access to before the day ends. I don't have much else to say, except Sage.- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So it looks like we are all voting on Elephant, so I guess I'll do that. I don't know if Elephant is the best, as they could be an Elsecaller... or not. I think that Sage is probably the best person to vote on, as they had publicly outed themself as an Elsecaller. I doubt that Sage would have revealed, had he actually been an Elsecaller. But maybe not... Big IKYK situation. I'll be checking up on the cycle periodically, and if we decide we want to change to either Mouse, Sage, or someone else, then I will be online to help out with that, and be able to change my vote before it ends I would have protected Ivory, but I had protected him last cycle, and couldn't. I was hoping to make the elims hit someone else, instead of Ivory for fear of being blocked, but it didn't work out. Sorry guys, I hope this didn't cost us the game.- 1054 replies

White text! I don't really have a way to respond to this. Anything I can say will be tainted by what you've already said. :/ But really! I am a Windrunner! I was on it before the wagon started, by the time I checked up again the wagon had already hit and I couldn't take off my vote cause the cycle ended. Sorry :/- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, so I believe that the Village's last chance is the Vote Manip, and if we lose that the game is probably over. So, as a last ditch effort I'll claim. I am Windrunner, and I think that it is better for me to claim now, and hope that there is another Windrunner out there, somewhere, who can protect me I'm going to assume that the elims already know who I am, and if they don't they probably would have just scanned me tonight... assuming that they have a Skybreaker I'll try and pull off something to keep someone alive, but I believe that we need to keep Ivory alive if we want a chance of winning. Village! Do not give up hope yet, there is still a chance that we can win! The game is still going, so that means that it is still possible for us to win, we just have to play our cards right. The elims have outed themselves, and we now know who at least a few of them are. If we can survive this night we should be able to win, or at least prolong the game even longer.- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Dragonfly is actively participating, and seems to be much more useful. Without actual explanation for how the voting system worked, it could have been a play to convince the village that they had real reasoning for voting on people, without actually having it. As soon as we get an actual explanation I will be willing to take the vote off, but I feel like Axolotl is currently just hiding, hoping that suspicion will fall off. Updated votes: [Redacted. Storming Heron!] We could have someone vote Scorpion and then just leave it up to RNG/vote manip. It would be fun, at the very least... In reality, please no one do that. It would not end well for us, as it would leave the lynch in the hands of Dragonfly and whoever has the other vote manip(s). We still have 5 players who have yet to vote today, and we need all of the votes that we can get! And Heron changed it...- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ah! I've been really busy! Scanning throguh the thread, and collecting my thoughts, my most dangerous read has to be Axotal they had a voting system that was quite wrong, and we still haven't learned about, and haven't said anything to defend themself, as of yet. If we get a decent amount of info on Axotal then I'll be willing to switch, but as it stands I'll be keeping my vote here. I should be able to check in 2 times before the cycle ends, and give my responses then.- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This... kinda bothers me. I voted because people are constantly telling me that I need to vote, and that I need to be on so that I can help us all win, so I look at most suspicions, and I try to figure out what is going on, and place my vote, doing my best to explain it, even when I don't have the best amount of time for it all, I still try to explain it. Then, after that, you get after me for posting, and voting, and trying (and failing, I do admit) to explain myself. I just feel like you are wanting a two very different things from me, and I'm not sure how I can do both. I was just trying to vote and put my two (very limited) cents in. And I apologize, this post has a kind of bad tone to it, but I don't want it to. I don't have must defense besides that fact that I was just trying to do what I could to help the village. (I do find it funny though that I have now been voted on for both my vote on Tuatara and on Flamingo from Day 3, due to vote manip) @Amber Vulture I would like to hear more from you as well, so here's a poke. I don't really know what else to say, so I'll keep reading through the past thread, and see if anyone stands out to me.- 1054 replies

Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I am back! And mostly healthy. Will try to participate more. @Violet Axolotl since your voting system did not end up working, would we be able to get a rundown of how it worked? I'm mostly curious how you thought it worked, and having the info could provide a lot of insight into you as a player, and let us make a final call on how suspicious we think your voting system is. I guess we'll have to see how the night goes, I'll try to work on suspicions, but mostly focus on what I think now and comparing it to the info we get after this night, and seeing what changes. I feel like comparing what happens before and after bight be useful, to try and figure out how the elims are thinking, and how they are throwing suspicion around.- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I agree that it would be slightly odd for any elim to make that mistake, but beyond that I would assume that the elims would do that specifically to throw suspicion onto someone, and make them stand out. But this quickly turns into an IKYK, so I'm not going to mess with it too much. I think that we should keep an eye on Albatross, but not focus too much on them. Weasel lynch: I'm not against it, not overly for it. Weasel has been a fairly decent player, and has provided some half decent reads, but he has a few posts that stand out to me: This post reads as off to me, but I can't quite tell why it does. The wording of "Also I absolutely don't understand why someone can be suspicious of this nice, honorable weasel." seems to be just a little too much, and throws me off. Slight elim read. This one reads that Weasel is falling behind in the thread, and just kinda wants to appear active. This could be filling the activity requirement of the game, or it could be an elim trying to appear active to try and avoid suspicion. Slight Elim read form this. This one reads to me lack Weasel isn't in a doc, as he should be able to just read through the doc, and ask his elim compatriots about this, while still being an active participant in the game. So this post makes me lean slightly village on him. This one still annoys me, as I think that players should try to be active whenever they can, especially if they are busy (see above) so they should spend as much time in thread as possible. I get no read from this post, but it decreases my hesitance to lynch him. Overall I think that Weasel is a bit suspicious, and the player that we (currently) have the most to go off of. If I had to chose between lynching an active and a semi-active like Weasel then I'd have to pick Weasel. I'll keep looking for any other people that seem suspicious, and if someone makes a good case then I'll take my vote off, but for now it seems like our best choice.- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Struck me as off. The vote itself is bandwagon-y, and it feels... almost like its staged? It doesn't come off as genuine. It's bandwagoning, but the justification is phrased in such a way that it feels like it's meant to fool us into thinking that this isn't a bandwagon. I've already kind of explained this, but I'll try again. I try to explain my reasoning for joining in on a bandwagon, because it is not useful for the village if I just say "I'm voting on 'x'" And yes, it was awkward, but I still think that it was better to attempt to explain myself, albeit in an awkward manor, rather than just say nothing. Sorry for sounding weird or awkward, I just really have a pet peeve with people voting and just agreeing with others, without actually saying why. Sorry.- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
That's fair, I don't have much to go off of either, but as for day 2 it wasn't that I was "laying low" it was that I maybe slightly got distracted with other things. (That happens to me a lot). I would like to point out that I had voted on Flamingo, but my vote was moved to Tuatara via vote manip, just for reference. I'm trying to find someone to lynch, but I just don't have much to go off of. I don't see anyone who is actively seeming like an elim, I don't currently have the time to go through each and every post of each and every person to look for slight tells, and I just don't know here to go from here on out. We don't have any big candidates that have come forth as someone good to lynch, and I'm just honestly confused. Because I have no suspicions, I am going to talk about roles, and hope that someone gives me a good idea to manage suspicions: We've lost a third of our players, all of them villagers so far. We've lost PMs so that our Skybreaker, even if they find an elim, can't tell someone that they trust discretely. We've lost our village kill, and may be out of Lightweavers. If there is another Lightweaver then I would imagine it as being an Elim's, to help them protect themselves. That means that we probably have: Windrunner/Protect role: I would suggest that you try and figure out who the Village Skybreaker is (assuming that we have one). If you can find them, then protect them every night that you can to try and keep them alive. Skybreaker/Scanner role: I would suggest trying to find elims :P, and if you find any other useful village try to defend them, if possible, but don't cast too much suspicion on yourself. Dustbringer/Kill role: Probably no more. Edgedancer/PMs: Dead. Lightweaver/Smoker: Look for the Windrunner and Skybreakers, and try to figure out who they are. If you can protect the Skybreaker from being scanned it might keep them alive longer, if the elims also have one. You can also try and protect people that you think votes might be manipulated, but that would require looking ahead quite a bit. Elsecaller/Thug: If you can, try to make the elims target you. If you become a super useful person, and the elims target you than it uses up one of their kills and allows us to survive for longer. Willshaper/Bondsmith: Use your vote manip only to save people that you absolutely trust. Try to be sparing with it, as too much vote manip is going to be confusing. Worldhopper: See above for whatever you have at the moment.- 1054 replies

Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So I started working on a longer post, but got sidetracked trying to figure out who everyone is. Which is really fun, but not really useful for the village. Sorry. I will try to post some actually useful stuff by the end of the night, if not I will post as soon as the morning starts, and I realize that it is up. Sorry for not being useful here. Croc's advice: Don't figure out players when you are trying to post.- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Turquoise Gorilla sorry that I played up how much I talked about Flamingo. I generally try to list my reasking, fully, without just jumping on the bandwagon. If people just say "I agree with this person" then it doesn't tell us that much useful stuff, whereas if people explain their reasoning then it gives us more to go off of. Sorry if it seems like I was playing up my thoughts. @Ivory Dragonfly I think that the PM is such a topic of hot debate is because we still have relatively little info about it, as well as the fact that we mostly have no idea about anything. The Elims have either completey stayed off of our radar, or eacaped the lynch. We need to be able to find info about something if we want to be able to win this game, and as it stands we know next to nothing.- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I am going to agree with Gecko for why they voted on Flamingo. I agree that we should still be keeping an eye on Beagle for the whole vote thing (sorry that I keep bringing it up, just sudden band wagons are suspicious), and how closely Flamingo and Beagle have been working together should soft clear Beagle, and if Flamingo is an Elim than we can take a look at Beagle. I think that we still have a bit of room to try and find information, and the chance of finding two Elims in one vote seems like it would be useful.- 1054 replies

Well, PMs are down, so if there is any more surprise bandwagon-ing then we will know that it is due to elims, or codewords set up prior, although I doubt codewords would have been set up. Does this mean that Opal was a Dustbringer kill? And does that make Octopus was the Elim kill?- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Deciding to look back through the Swan lynch, this one stood out to me the most, specifically because Beagle specifically said that Opal Lion (and Weasel) were not part of the PM's that decided this lynch. Jumping on the bandwagon is... interesting. I don't think that it is alignment indicative, but a possible series of events could be like this: Beagle and Lion are both Elims together Beagle gains village trust Beagle makes a PM with people he trusts as villagers, and keeps a few of the Elims out of it, only putting the ones that he knows the village trusts currently. They control the Lynch to let them get off a free kill, and claim it was a village thing. The villagers in the PM feel like it is a village thing, and trust the judgment. Lion joins in the help cement the lynch, knowing about it from the doc, and wanting to help. This would give the Elims a free lynch early, functioning as a 'bonus' kill. Or Just Lion is an elim Lion sees a vote going through on someone that he knows is village Lion take the chance to help solidify the vote Giving elims a free lynch. Or Lion is a villager who just wanted to help. I don't think we should lynch either person, because I have villager-y reads on them, but I would like to hear more from Lion about his vote. I think that Weasel gave a good amount of justification for his vote, but Lion really hasn't said much about his. I would like a Skybreaker to scan Beagle to make sure that he isn't an elim, but I think that if Beagle is an elim than Lion might also be. Hopefully this post makes sense, I haven't been taking that good of notes so I decided to take a look at one point in the thread that probably had at least one elim participate in it. And... why not? This is time that we should be using to figure things out. Sure what we say may end up being completely wrong, and proven as such due to whatever happens tonight, but why should we not discuss things? That seem slightly like you are just attempting to prolong something, or seem like you attempting to wash your hands of talking in the thread. Seems kind of like a distancing technique, to me, at least.- 1054 replies

Mauve Crocodile replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So am I, I'm thinking I might use a random number generator and find a few people to follow closer, and then focus mainly on that, and their interactions rather than try to tackle everyone at once. According to my statistics class, even if everyone did this, we would have a good spread of people to be following. I don't know if it would be better for me to post who I am following here, or just keep it secret. Any suggestions?- 1054 replies
