  1. Yeah, I will most likely be there for rollover
  2. Currently, I'd like to vote within the three people (Toucan, Flamingo, Elephant) who hopped on the Octo wagon without providing as much reasoning to it. I feel like an elim could have slipped into that as an opportunity to try and get a Coinshot as additional KP. So I tried to look into what they've done and said so far Toucan Flamingo Elephant All three have some odd moments of not knowing something (Toucan with voting during night, Flamingo forgetting Croc died, and Elephant not knowing Kangaroo flipped), and I'm not sure how deliberate or genuine that is. But it might be a factor to consider who is likely to manufacture such a reaction I'll admit, I don't have a deep reasoning to suspect them, which is partly due to them not really saying that much. But from what little they said, I feel inclined to vote Onyx Flamingo here. I'm suspicious of the fact that they were acting lost on D1 despite being in thread then hopping on the Axl wagon. Later on in N1, they were rather defensive when placed in the PoE and currently in D2, they didn't have other reads to share and admitted to just be following Weasel's reasoning. So, I guess part of this is less that they're that suspicious, but they haven't given me enough to convince me that they're village Also, on Iguana, I'm still suspicious of the part where they switched their vote off Kangaroo when Weasel's vote brought it to 3. But I do like their D2 more and he looks a little better in my eyes when he tried to dissuade against the Octo wagon before it gained traction.
  3. I'd like to ask, if you didn't have any reason to vote them, why did you feel the need to vote right there and then? Instead of simply unvoting and then waiting until you were able to catch up with the thread and have a better read of people's alignments I believe there were also other people who said similar lines like Heron saying he didn't want the DF vote to go through when DF had claimed Lurcher. What do you think of that? And can you walk me through again why you think DF is elim in both of these scenarios? What makes you suspicion of them?
  4. Mindmeld moment, thank you for this. This does make me inclined to townread you and I'll read up more on the points you raised regarding Albatross Plum Rhinoceros Something I forgot to add was that Octopus and Kangaroo were both so closely associated during the time when they voted against DF and then later on, when Crocodile prompted Kangaroo to share more of their reads, Kangaroo only cited Octopus as their village read. I don't think as elims they would really want to tie themselves to each other that closely
  5. Alright, so I think that Octopus is just being scapegoated, and I'm side-eyeing Flamingo, Toucan, Axolotl, and Elephant for mostly hopping on Weasel's reasoning, as well as, not bringing other reads to the table. I don't think they're all elim, but it's quite possible at least one of them is there since it seems like an easy vote to latch on. Anyways, I'd like to ask more about your thought process of the world where Octopus is elim @Indigo Weasel. So, I have some questions: - Do you think this Coinshot claim was premeditated during the night? - Do you think it's not possible that this was just a genuine mistake for them to reveal themselves as Coinshot? Because I feel like part of your argument is assuming every villager would do the most optimal play and we have seen that that isn't necessarily the case (i.e. people voting during night after the flip, people not reading who died, Kanga not self-preserving at EOD, etc) There were some posts by Octopus that drew my attention. On D1, Jo clarified that Lurchers can self-protect, which prompted Octopus to ask this question: This is the sort of question where asking it has no tangible benefit for most players because why would a coinshot self-kill regardless of their alignment. BUT, I could see why someone who rolled Coinshot would ask it as someone curious about the mechanics of their role On N1, Octopus has these two posts where the first post, although it's in RP, it does seem to be suggesting that they're coinshot with the emphasis on "I need to know" in a statement where the following pronouns are all "We". In both of these phases' posts, it seems to suggest that if Octopus was an elim, this was a premeditated plan to eventually claim as Coinshot. However, from their posting and the way they've been moving in this game, they don't strike me as the type of player to make this kind of calculated move. They come across more as a player who's still gaining more experience playing this game (forgive me if I'm wrong) and has ended up drawing more suspicion on themselves for something that was genuinely a mistaken move. Outside of this, my concern is that if Octopus is indeed a v!Coinshot and there is an e!Kandra, this is the prime opportunity to get that role. We already know that Kanga's role was taken. It's quite possible a v!Kandra got it because they are of a higher generation, and so, since the elims are aware of this fact, they then might try to hop on this wagon to score an opportunity to have an added KP at night and there's enough traction on it right now where they can safely hide themselves in this wagon. So, I would suggest against this execution and I feel like we've let some people keep staying under the radar and be off the hook (like Flamingo, Elephant, and Toucan), so I would prefer to direct attention on them for today (I'll be reading more of what they said and try to see where I'll be voting)
  6. Levin was reading a book in his quarters. Just then, everything seemed to freeze in place. The ocean's waves crashing gently on the ship went still, the noisy conversations going on outside the cabin went silent, and the flickering lamp inside his room stopped blinking. The puppeteer pressed the Pause button on his controller. He was playing this murder mystery game, where the task was to find the traitors among a set of characters, but it was time that he needed a break from that. After all, it was a bit more taxing playing this game for as long as he was. I have some thoughts, but anyways, before that, here's the current vote count and history for Day 2 Vote History Heron - Iguana > Octopus Dragonfly - Rhinoceros Gecko - Iguana > Toucan > Gecko > Dingo Flamingo - Flamingo > Unvote > Octopus Octopus - Iguana > Toucan > Weasel Beagle - Iguana > Rhinoceros Iguana - Toucan Weasel - Octopus Toucan - Octopus Elephant - Octopus > Unvote Zebra - Octopus Axolotl - Octopus Albatross - Heron Vote Count Octopus (6) - Weasel, Toucan, Zebra, Axolotl, Flamingo, Heron Rhinoceros (2) - Dragonfly, Beagle Weasel (1) - Octopus Toucan (1) - Iguana Dingo (1) - Gecko Heron (1) - Albatross Not voting (6) - Meerkat, Rhinoceros, Chameleon, Lion, Dingo, Elephant
  7. While Levin was still suspicious of the Saffron Iguana, he wanted to hear more from the Plum Rhinoceros. He remembered that the Rhinoceros had promised to contribute more once the night came, but he had seemingly disappeared and had yet to deliver on that. As he patiently waited, he heard the Meerkat suggest a different idea from the ones others had brought forth to the table. "I'm curious to hear more about this," he said. The Meerkat didn't yet have the time to present his case, so Levin decided to explore the vessel. He didn't have much of an opportunity to do it before. He had been busy with other matters, which caused him to spend most of his time in his room facing papers and only having the small glimpse of the ocean accommodated by the round window in his room. The merchant was still selling his wares, though he looked a little deflated because the ruckus last night made the passengers more wary of being out and about. There was, what he assumed to be, an engineer in the engine room he came across. They were doing something...? But he was never quite well-versed with mechanics, tools, and the like. He figured the engineer was one of the reasons why things were still up and running despite all the commotions in the previous days. He saw a robot and was that tears in their eyes? Now that was an unusual sight for sure. As he walked across the vessel, he was grateful to be alive another day. Yes, he knew that death for him didn't necessarily mean the end of everything. After all, he carried the memories of several previous lives. He had been a teacher, an investigator, a doctor, a mercenary, and so many more. He had lived in luxury and had also struggled finding food to eat everyday. He had seen kingdoms rise and fall. But even then, each life of his was precious. There was always something new and unique offered by the experiences that could only be derived from the background that he would start from. And so, he was determined to push on for as long as he could muster. May good fortune continue to follow him.
  8. Levin approached the Toucan, who had pointed their finger at the Axolotl at an inappropriate time, and thus, had caused some of the others to become more wary of them. "What made you suspect the Axolotl? And do you still maintain that position?" he inquired. "Are there other people you trust or distrust at the moment? And why do you think so?
  9. Levin was grateful for the Weasel for opening this discussion. It would be good to talk more and consider as many options as possible, so that the passengers could have as much of an informed decision going to who they would be throwing overboard today. "There were certain things that the Crocodile and Kangaroo said and did that dissuaded me from being suspicious of the Axolotl and Octopus at the moment," he commented. "The Crocodile motioned for a shift in the accusations to the Axolotl. I feel that he wouldn't direct attention to a teammate at that stage when it looked like the other passengers weren't really as invested towards throwing out the Dragonfly, and it would have been more likely for a different passenger to go," he remarked. "Additionally, he did back the Kangaroo for very flimsy reasons and tried to paint them as an innocent passenger, so to me, it didn't feel like he was someone who would have thrown a teammate to the wolves, as early as it was." "As for the Octopus, the Kangaroo interestingly only mentioned the Octopus as the person that they trusted. I'm not sure if the Kangaroo really would have wanted for the two of them to be associated so closely," he added. "If they truly were allies, it would have been more likely that they would throw other innocent passengers in the mix rather than putting a singular one on the spotlight."
  10. Levin rose from his cabin. He was still feeling sleepy, perhaps part of the fatigue was recovering from the injuries he sustained last night. He thought about the passengers he suspected and at the moment, Saffron Iguana was at the top of his list. He would think more on it later once he had gotten some food to eat and had a little more rest.
  11. Levin had heard that the body of the Kangaroo had disappeared overnight. He heard murmurs among the passengers that it had been devoured by a Kandra. He was a little rattled. Kandras did remind him of those man-eating plants that he had the unfortunate experience of witnessing when he once traded smuggled goods through the jungle in a previous life. The question was, was this Kandra a friend or foe?
  12. Levin staggered to their feet. He was disoriented from being thrown by the entity that claimed to be one of the divinities of old, the Crocodile. His body ached all over and it took a lot of willpower to get up when he was in a world of pain. He was a lover, not a fighter, and he had just been caught in the crossfire when some of the other passengers decided that violence was necessary to find the infiltrators. There was a slow, persistent clamor in his head from the crash, and a memory flashed. He recalled one of his "deaths". He had been a mercenary once, hired to serve whatever noble's agenda was, good or evil. They viewed him as expendable and many never trusted a man who could be swayed by coins. He had died alone against bandits on an escort mission in the mountains. Some of the passengers speculated and wondered how Levin survived such a brutal attack. He wasn't sure if it would be best to reveal his thoughts on the matter or if it was better to keep it a mystery.
  13. While waiting for the merchant to sell him the Honorblade at a more reasonable price, Levin ran through the remaining passengers in his head to try and piece through who the accomplices were to the sabotage that occurred aboard the SS TYRIAN. There were a few passengers who he was highly inclined to trust. These were the Weasel, Dragonfly, Gecko, and Meerkat. Each had contributed to finding out the allegiance of the Kangaroo. The Meerkat, he was least confident about since he stayed in his room for half the day, but nonetheless, he felt he could trust him at the moment. Outside of those passengers, there were other passengers that he had some level of trust in mind. These were the Zebra and Heron. The Heron questioned the accusations leveled against the Dragonfly and had shown willingness to support the tide against the Kangaroo. There were a few he had mixed feelings of. He wanted to have the insight of the other passengers if these people were innocent as well. The Octopus had been the only person the Kangaroo had mentioned that they explicitly trusted. He wondered if the Kangaroo would truly prop a comrade up as trustworthy without mixing that statement with other innocent passengers to hide their lie. On the other hand, the Axolotl had been another target of the accusations. It might be possible the saboteurs were fine with them being thrown overboard since it wasn't one of their own. Some passengers he could not get much of a read of. The Chameleon and Lion were still keeping to themselves in their rooms. Moreover, the Rhinoceros and Toucan did go out, but said little to contribute to solving the mystery. Finally, there were a few passengers he had some suspicion of. The Elephant did not give much reason for Levin's opinion of him to change. Meanwhile, the Iguana interestingly pointed their finger at another direction at a rather opportune time when the Weasel raised suspicion of the Kangaroo and bringing them closer to being exposed. The Flamingo did contribute too to the accusation on Axolotl and sustained that until the end of the day. Of the others who had participated in accusing Axolotl, the two remaining passengers had stated a little trust toward the Kangaroo for reasons that Levin felt were a little flimsy. He was confused with the reasons the Dingo stated for trusting the Kangaroo when it seemed like the way he described it suggested otherwise. Similarly, the Crocodile shared that one of the reasons Kangaroo might be innocent was for taking note of who accused who? It seemed an odd name to add when his other statements on some passengers were more elaborated on. While the Albatross didn't accuse the Axolotl, he also shared an innocent perception of the Kangaroo for similar reasons. These six passengers would most likely be the people he was going to look at eagerly once the day broke. Until then, he would hopefully obtain an Honorblade and retire in his room to be well-rested for it.
  14. Levin had thoughts to process in his head as he tried to evaluate the events that led up to the charlatan, Kangaroo, being exposed. But there were certainly a lot that was said and accusations thrown around, so he needed a little respite from the brainstorming. So, he exited his quarters and saw the merchant, who was still selling Honorblades eagerly day and night. "Do you offer a discount or a special offer? Like a buy one-take one sort of deal," he asked. 400 boxings was not really out of his budget, but he remembered a memory in a past homeworld. There were merchants who sold wares at an exorbitant price and tried to fool unwary customers that the expense was worth every single boxing. His father had been one such unfortunate victim, who kept spending money on shoddy items. While his father had a job that earned a fair wage, they could hardly save anything and it had the consequence of leading Levin and his siblings to work at a young age, instead of being educated. And so, he was wary of merchants even in this new lease of life, but he couldn't deny that they had their place in society. Not all of them were malicious.
  15. Levin stood there shocked. He had suspicion of the Kangaroo, who had come across as being opportunistic when she had accused the Dragonfly of being a saboteur, but still, he hadn't expected this outcome. There was a memory that rose to the surface of his mind. The details were murky, but in a past life, he had been an inquisitor and had led innocent men and women to the stake because he thought they had malice in their hearts. He regretted the person that he was and was afraid that his history would catch up to him. But, now was different. They had found one of the saboteur lurking in this vessel. Today, he felt relief and glee that things had turned out for the better. Certainly, there were statements and actions that could be recollected upon, from which they could find information that might point to the Kangaroo's comrades, but for a moment, Levin would relax and take in the fact that they were one step closer to securing the safety of their lives.
  16. "Yes, I believe there should be another option aside from the Violet Axolotl," Levin answered. "The Sage Kangaroo is another suspect on the cards of being a saboteur."
  17. "The Sage Kangaroo would be my proposal," he answered. "Would there be enough supporters for this to stand as an alternate option?"
  18. Levin thought about the matter. As it stands, the Dragonfly was safe from being the target of one of those dastardly Rioters, especially if that was the identity of one of the saboteurs, but a change from himself and the Heron would return that risk. So, he thought that it would be better to let things stay as they stand and have that as a discussion to ponder on at a later time.
  19. Levin listened to the statements of other passengers. They had some valuable insight to share, of which could be decidedly helpful to him in being more critical. He was far from being an investigator, but he had always been thrilled by mysteries and trying to figure out the answer hidden veiled beyond the fog, so odd as it was, this unfortunate predicament proved to be an opportunity to have that experience. "I do agree with your assessment. A potential saboteur Allomancer who burns Zinc is a worry I share," he responded. "My considerations for certain passengers being suspicious have remained the same as the Kangaroo, the Sapphire Elephant, and the Violet Axolotl have not given me much confidence to see them as innocent." He did wonder though if there was merit to organizing another option in the Kangaroo, if it would potentially draw out more information or if that ship had sailed at this juncture. "I did feel confused about that claim. His statement seemed to imply that one of the saboteurs was a Kandra, but a Kandra could not steal the identity of a Tineye if they were not onboard in the first place," he explained. "But, to answer your question, another possibility is that, there could be a Mistborn onboard and they brought vials of Tin to use."
  20. Levin paced across the deck of the ship. There had been a lot of discussion and the time was drawing near for one of the passengers under suspicion to be thrown overboard the SS TYRIAN. He considered what the Axolotl had said. He felt iffy about it and so he asked, "Why did you not mention that it was an act of self-preservation to accuse Dragonfly in the first place? It felt oddly convenient that you accused him at a time when the eyes of the others were on you." "Are these truly beneficial?" he inquired. Levin recalled a story. A tale of a proxy war between Ruin and Preservation. The Spiked, who had infiltrated the quaint village had used the townsfolk's indecision to their advantage and ensured that the innocent would be placed on the gallows rather than one of their own. "Reasonable," he commented. "I would say the same could be said as well with the Meerkat, who has not rejoined us after pointing a finger toward the Kangaroo. That is something I am also taking note of."
  21. Levin noticed that some of the passengers had returned after resting in their quarters. It was time to start asking them questions about their whereabouts when the Captain had perished and who they thought could be the saboteurs lurking in this vessel. Levin approached the Axolotl, who seemed to have gotten a good night's rest. "The Kangaroo did have a reaction to your accusation. How did you feel about that?" he inquired. "Also, since you're not on board with any of the other more pointed accusations, do you think these passengers (Dragonfly, Meerkat, Crocodile) are innocent?" Levin motioned to the Gecko, who seemed eager to throw out someone they didn't necessarily think was a saboteur, but rather a distracting passenger. "I do agree that their words are difficult to understand," he remarked. "However, I do agree with what the Heron said that for the start of the investigation, it would be better to be accusing people who are suspicious. I do feel that while difficult to understand, Dragonfly seems to be trustworthy and I feel that a saboteur would not put themselves in the spotlight by being the first to make a more pointed accusation." "Was he, really?" Levin asked to the Elephant. "His accusation seemed like it would invite attention when he spoke of an absolute that he always found people who piled on bandwagons to be suspicious." "Are there other passengers that you either trust or distrust?" he further inquired. Levin recalled a memory of sitting in a round table with several other people. Accusations were thrown around and people tried to explain their positions. He was uncertain if the debate ended in bloodshed or if it was simply a peaceful exchange of ideas. What past life was this recollection from?
  22. Levin tried to catch up with Violet Axolotl, but he was a little too late and the man had already retired to his quarters. The Axolotl's real name was Fletcher, but Levin had always been bad at remembering names. He found it easier to ascribe the identities of the passengers with the animals they reminded him of and so, that was what was he was most likely to do going forward. Since he wasn't able to gather information together with Axolotl, Levin decided to do his own investigation on the matter. He approached the crew of the ship and asked them of the discussion that had transpired while he was asleep. While the crew was busy explaining, he also casually swiped a register of the passengers aboard the SS TYRIAN to have a clearer picture of who could be involved. He guessed that perhaps there were 4 or 5 saboteurs involved in this ploy. The crew were busy with ensuring that the ship was functioning well, so he was a little uncertain if the information that he gathered was accurate, but he tried to summarize the events that had occurred thus far. The initial stir caused a lot of panic among the passengers and so, plenty of random accusations or requests to speak up were thrown around. Among those who sustained this accusation were the Gecko, Toucan, Weasel, Iguana, Axolotl, Albatross, Heron and himself, the Beagle. Some had made more pointed accusations like the Dragonfly, who believed one of the Octopus' statement to be suspicious. Dragonfly had started out with a random accusation and the sudden switch to a more pointed one drew the suspicion of the Octopus, and Kangaroo. Of the two, it seemed like the Octopus had explained their thought process well, though Levin did not necessarily agree with it. Meanwhile, Kangaroo shared some suspicion on Dragonfly with Octopus, but only fully accused them after Octopus had done so. Due to this, Meerkat became suspicious of the Kangaroo. Later on, some of Meerkat's actions caused some of the passengers to question his motives. The Crocodile demanded an explanation from them because he thought the Meerkat was responsible for instigating the accusations on the Dragonfly. On the other hand, the Elephant found the Meerkat to be too willing to change their tune. There was also the Zebra, who found the Crocodile distrustful. It was difficult for Levin to figure out whether this accusation was serious and if it was, the reasoning behind it. There was also the Dingo who chimed in with their suspicion on the Axolotl for both being eager to jump on early in accusing others of being saboteurs and seemingly being confused of what was going on in the ship despite being an active participant. Finally, there was the Flamingo, who seemed lost in the conversation and hadn't participated in either accusing or defending anyone. Levin noted that there were yet others who had not joined the conversation. Perhaps they were still in their cabins? These passengers were the Rhinoceros, Lion, and Chameleon. There was a lot that Levin had learned from the accounts of the crew. His initial thoughts were that he had a little trust towards the passengers who seemed to be genuinely trying to contribute to find the saboteurs, which were the Crocodile, Heron, and Dingo. He also felt like the Dragonfly and Octopus were innocent. On the other hand, he felt a little suspicion towards a few passengers like the Kangaroo, Axolotl, and Elephant. To Levin, it felt like Kangaroo's accusation was a bit opportunistic and he wanted to hear more of the Kangaroo's voice in their reasoning. He agreed with the Dingo that the Axolotl was a little suspicious for being an active participant in the conversations, yet they acted like they were lost. Finally, he was confused with the Elephant's position. He had mentioned that he thought the Dragonfly was innocent and was merely trying to help. The Dragonfly had been accused for a sudden change in accusations and yet, he had been eager to find suspicion on the Meerkat for a similar reason. As such, Levin wanted to clarify this matter with the Sapphire Elephant.
  23. After Levin exited his room, he found several other passengers discussing in small groups in different corners of the ship. There were murmurs of saboteurs who had more malicious motives and had premeditated the events that they were facing now. Some passengers seemed to be eager to point fingers already and he tried to figure out which accusations were serious and which were not, but it seemed a difficult endeavor to do so. It reminded him of a particular memory of arriving at a play midway and struggling to comprehend what was going on. It would be delightful if someone could help illuminate their opinions on the matters that had previously been discussed. Levin wanted to find a companion in their plight of being lost in the ongoing discourse. There was a merchant trying to sell wares and an arrogant man being frustrated with being misunderstood, but he decided to catch up with the man who was walking back to his room. He seemed equally a little overwhelmed with what was going on. "Violet Axolotl, could I ask for your thoughts on what's occurred on this ship thus far?" he kindly asked. Perhaps together they could hope to understand things and perhaps be a step closer to finding the elusive saboteurs.
  24. Levin had been fast asleep when chaos was unleashed upon the ship. His sleeping quarters were far from comfortable. The mattress could hardly be called a mattress as it felt like he was sleeping on cold, hard steel, and there were always shuffling and moving outside his cabin. Nevertheless, he had always been a deep sleeper and almost nothing could shake him from his rest. It was a few hours after the captain had died that he had woken. He was still groggy, but he immediately got the feeling that something was amiss. The ship was moving at an unusually faster pace than it did the previous days and there was panic in the voices of the crew and passengers who passed by his cabin. He was uncertain what to do. He was neither a fighter nor a leader, and going out from his cabin might just bring harm to him. Just then, a memory flashed into his head. It was of a ship similar to this one. There were dead bodies strewn across the floor while passengers and pirates fought for control of the ship. Flames could be observed slowly consuming parts of the ship such as the mast and the starboard. He regained control of his senses. He had gotten used to these scenes occasionally infiltrating his mind. He had no recollection of these events ever happening in his life, so he had theorised that either these were visions warning him of bad omens or these were memories from previous lives he had led. Whichever case it was, it was enough to convince him that he had to get himself involved. The ship was still quite far from any safe shores and he should not expect anyone else to rescue him from this predicament. And so, he left his room and planned to gather information on what happened exactly before taking any action.
