  1. I agree with the suggestions not to claim vote manipulation if you haven't yet. I'm going to try to take a closer look at Mouse before the end of next turn. I'm still doubting that RP claim of theirs. @Plum Rhinoceros Why do you consider Mouse confirmed village? And would you still consider them village after this night turn and a second chance to convert?
  2. I thought that Heron's vote D4 was pretty ambivalent towards Beagle and more about protecting Tuatara (the whole reason I suspected Heron in the first place for that constant sussing but not voting). Seeing your analysis again, though, I realize I'm probably wrong. Just confused.
  3. I... don't know. Beagle being elim has me questioning Heron now, with the voting the other turn. Gut read is still elim, though. Mouse, maybe? Elim!scholar could make sense with them going inactive and being replaced like they were. That RP claim last turn might have been just to explain why the other scholar was seeing an elim gem being made. Then again, why claim at all if no one knew Mouse was scholarform. But why claim at all, even if they were village? It's just... weird. Yeah. I think I'd go for Mouse, actually. So Mouse/Heron(?)/Beagle/???
  4. My thoughts exactly. The best we can do is exe them tomorrow if we think it's a claim. Village has no power to stop them, and I don't think elims would want to. I still think Heron would be a better choice for tomorrow, but I'm hoping to take a closer look at some of my other suspicions. The warform thing and their reaction has me questioning.
  5. I'm comfortable enough with where things are on Heron to move my vote to absolutely prove I'm Mediationform, as promised. Weasel
  6. Double voting power is inherently more useful later in the game. Why use it early and give elims more chance to kill me? And how is having an extra village vote worse than sending a useless PM? I don't get this. I still used an action and can prove I'm not Mavset. If you can name one other reason why I'm elim other than Lion's suggestion that I was Mavset because I lied about failing to get the mediationform gem (which I have now used), then by all means, vote for me. But if it is literally just that I'm Mavset, give me this turn to prove that I do, indeed, have an extra vote. I guess I just have a different playstyle. I'm not used to this bold new world of claiming roles and actions. I don't think it's inherently more useful for village to know what everyone does because it leads to faulty assumptions of innocence because everyone lies in SE, even villagers.
  7. Because then I wouldn't have mediationform now. Why give elims another opportunity to destroy it just so I could prove I wouldn't take an action I can't take? I'm going to vote Heron. I know that ideally I would vote alone, and I will so long as I'm not going to potentially die. Just make sure in vote counts to include mine as two. Oh. Heron, my name is Flamingo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. (hopefully that counts as my reasoning)
  8. See this: I should have just left it earlier so Lion and elims couldn't postulate based on what I was suggesting, but the rigid assumption that I was Mavset because I lied was frustrating. But once he said it, there was no reason to not own up to it. again, I strongly disagree with having had to claim because I always like playing guarded with roles/actions
  9. Yes, but plenty of votes have been placed with no reason, even a faked one. But that was the tiniest reason why I didn't take it. The main reason was because it wasn't needed. Say I had taken it. Suddenly village!mediationform was narrowed down to just a handful of players. Even more so if you consider all of the other form claims that have been thrown out into the open (still have thoughts on this, btw...) Why waste mediationform early and potentially be caught before it can matter.
  10. Well, if you're going to throw it out in the open like that... this is why I despise banking on claiming actions/mechanical confirmations to find elims, because then villagers can't do sneaky squirrel things. secrecy helps us tactically with roles as much as it helps elims.. Yes, I grabbed mediationform D2. I did not use it because village didn't need it right away. With it being a passive vote addition, no one else doing the "accuse" thing to help cover for potential mediationforms, and really easy to spot in vote counts, I decided it would be better to hold until later in the game than use right away and stop contributing to exes. I grabbed workform D3 to keep it away from elims. I didn't care enough about keeping it, so I was fine burning it with being a solo voter on Heron. So yes, my action is being taken tonight by putting on the mediationform gem. We're far enough in with no elims found that we could use the extra voting power.
  11. Then the purpose of me not saying tonight would be nullified. I'm more than willing to explain if someone PMs me, but I need my action to prove what I'm going at. I promise I won't body hop because I'm not Malibu. Also, if I were Malibu, why would I fight this so much? There's literally nothing anyone could do to stop me. Sorry, I didn't mean to scaremonger. I'm just really worried that we're going to waste a turn tunneling on someone who isn't Malibu because of lies. I admit fully I have lied, and will tell the truth tomorrow or in a PM.
  12. I'll say tomorrow, so long as I don't get killed tonight. But letting me live will give me a chance to prove it. And to me Heron is confirmed because why would they choose to exe Hyena when Tuatara has been their stated suspicion all game without votes ever sticking. I don't see their vote as necessarily picking to save Beagle, but avoiding voting on Tuatara.
  13. That was never my plan. I never wanted scholarform. Too much work to make posts that big. It's also why I avoided artform. Edit: I just need you to trust me enough to let me live through the next day turn. All that requires is taking the route of exing Heron, who we've also nearly confirmed as elim.
  14. I didn't lie about getting a warform gem. I promise I have a reason, I just don't want to say it tonight for opsec reasons, which seems pointless at this point anyway but I'm going to stick with it just in case.
  15. Please don't bank on me being Malibu. I already said it's the wrong coast for Flamingos. There are elims out there we need to find, and we'll get nowhere by tunneling on me as Malibu. Not to mention we've now created a huge IKYK issue by saying I'm confirmed. Potential outcome 1: Elims kill v!me to suggest Malibu has hopped, and now we're chasing our tails. Potential outcome 2: The real Malibu hops, and I'm still alive. If we assume Malibu!me is still a thing, I'm exed and flip village, and suddenly we're back to square one and likely with a trust read suddenly invalidated without our knowledge. Potential outcome 3: The real Malibu doesn't hop, I'm still exed and we're back at square one chasing our tails. I'm still certain Heron is a better ex than I am, especially with those vote shenanigans at the end. Also, I promise to explain some more things tomorrow, I just don't want to on a turn with a kill for opsec.
  16. Because why leave it for elims to grab freely and use when they were under suspicion? I wasn't worried about actually keeping it (hence why I was fine voting a suspicion rather than staying with a train), but wanted to get it removed.
  17. I had the worst luck of all. Tried for one of the two mediation form gems and lost.
  18. Not nimbleform. Just lost Workform, actually. I figured my priority was on voting my conscience rather than voting on someone I suspected less just to keep my role. I haven't PMd anyone. I know that's not great, but I've been a little overworked this week and haven't put a lot of thought into any actions.
  19. Confirmation bias. It's when you interpret evidence to intentionally back up your opinion.
  20. I reviewed a bit more today and this is just sticking out like a sore thumb to me. Why is it, Heron, that you have now stated suspicion on Tuatara four cycles in a row, but have not yet left a vote on them? (Hyena) Edit: Adding a few more thoughts here. I think Heron/Tuatara could either be E/E or E/V. If both are elims, then it's clear Heron is just trying to distance. It's pretty blatant, though, and almost feels TWTBAW. E/V might be more likely (I might be a little biased here because I don't see the same suspicion of Tuatara as those voting on them). In that case, Heron is trying to cast shade without being a direct cause of a village exe.
  21. I'm going to try to do a dive into reads before rollover tomorrow, but for now, Hyena. Others have brought up good points about them, and I don't remember ever thinking something they said was super villagery.
  22. I answered this last turn. I moved to penguin, despite the possibility of a tie, because I didn't feel that Albatross was a good exe. While my suspicion of Penguin was thin, it was more solid than any feelings about Albatross. As for why I stuck with them, it seemed odd they kept surviving. I was watching and looking through myself to see if I could find a better candidate, but that never happened. As I said, I think I need to take a step back and reevaluate everything. Regarding Rhino, a WGG doesn't feel quite right. They may have been under some suspicion, but not enough to really justify wasting a life. Not when the exes so far have been lackluster. Besides, I've had a village lite read on them for a while. I'm going to review a bit more before I vote.
  23. I am confused. I voted Swan D1 because of their vote being contrary to their read list. It was the most suspicious things I saw that day, and felt like elim distancing. I've only switched once (from Dingo to Penguin D2). I remember Dingo being somewhat suspicious, but also inactive. At that point, it was between Albatross and Penguin, and of the two I found more reason for a Penguin exe as I felt fairly good about Albatross. As for why I maintained Penguin, Vulture said it themselves. Someone who avoids an exe for a few cycles is pretty suspect. Clearly I have terrible reads.
