  1. I don't actually know how I survived. I mean, someone had to have Lurched me, but I'm a Thug, and my life got burned already. Kinda wish whoever it was had just let me die. I'm not going to lie, having everyone on my back for this long (and two kill attempts by someone who pretty much has to be a villager) is kinda killing my motivation for this game, especially since it's taking time that could be spent with my family. I'll maybe do a couple more ISOs this cycle, but I'll help get myself out of the way so you can figure things out without me. Flamingo. Sorry to disappoint, but my feathers are currently black, and will probably have reddish-brown stains by sometime tomorrow.
  2. Well Lion, you better claim how you survived or we'll murder you and so forth.
  3. What, exactly, does this mean? Obviously I have not gotten any village cred from my unwillingness to claim. I'm going to switch from Penguin to Chameleon. I find both Lion and Cham suspicious, and would be fine with either exe, but I'd like them both on the table.
  4. 4. @Chartreuse Penguin - Donn Keihote (Insane) The minimal engagement fits my current picture of the elim team, would exe or Coinshot 5. @Coral Swan - Onidsen (Scholar, Caroler; has animal companion) First two cycles didn't look great but can be explained by IRL/holiday stuff. N2 post read quite village, so I'll retract my vote. Onidsen. 7. @Emerald Falcon - Luciel (sheriff) Village read, at least for now. Definitely wouldn't vote or Coinshoot this cycle. And that leaves 13 to go. I'm going to stick my vote on Penguin for now as easily the most suspicious person I've looked at. Might do some of the others out of order since they are immediately relevant to todays exe. Edit: Wanted to address this. Not sure why mistborn!me couldn't have pulled Thug last cycle, nothing defensive now, and wants to not get NKed to be able to get off the occasional Seek/Coinshot. I also haven't been deliberately drawing suspicion, so I'm not sure what your comment about playing into the Coinshot pool means (assuming I'm being charitable and it's not just an insult). In fact I'm trying to engage with the thread so people can village read me. I'm going to say it upfront, you're in a tunnel and despite your lack of a vote on me, your rather large thread presence is likely responsible for 2-3 of the votes on me, so please reconsider.
  5. I mean, we can lay out all the scenarios, right? Either I'm a Thug, a Lurcher, or a Mistborn (this is technically a claim, but it's one I'm willing to make). If I'm a Thug, claiming that doesn't help anyone because I'm no longer a Thug. In fact, it means I become a lower priority target since there are other people with roles running around. The greatest strength of a Thug comes from nobody knowing their role. If I'm a Lurcher and I claim then I'm dead. If I'm a Mistborn, again, claiming that puts a big target on my own back (which could be a benefit if I rolled Thug this cycle). So, it makes sense for me to not claim unless I want to try some Mistborn IKYK stuff, which seems like too much trouble. Or if I did claim, it makes sense for me to lie, in which case nobody would trust the claim to begin with. ISOs won't come until tomorrow, and I might not finish them by EOD, but I'll try and get through at least half of the players by then.
  6. I'm putting names in bold orange if there is a negative connection and in bold purple if there is a positive connection. Not sure if that will be helpful. At the end of each creature's section I have some questions/thoughts for the individual to hopefully address. 1. @Amethyst Scorpion Would Coinshoot but not exe unless we need a fast EOD switch and don't have a better option. 2. @Azure Mouse Decent village read, would not kill. 3. @Charcoal Hyena Slight village read, would not exe both for that and because they are busy IRL And that leaves 16 to go! It's family time for a bit though.
  7. I just got back and am working on rereading. But this: seems like a pretty bad reason to vote me. I'll die to the exe before I claim anything, so pressure isn't going to do anything on that front. I'm already committed to solving the game, so ditto there. And I also already had the most votes prior to yours. So you are accomplishing literally nothing that you want to accomplish by voting for me.
  8. "Well, I guess if you really want to know how I survived, killing me is one way to potentially figure it out. I've got some errands to take care of, so it will be a few hours before I usefully contribute to this discussion of how best to murder me. Aurelien is wrong on this one, is all I've got to say for now."
  9. "Ah yes, the tale of my survival. Well, you see, it all started when I was trying to remember why we don't go out in the mists at night. Naturally, the best way to try to recall something is to immerse yourself in it, so I went for a walk and began to ponder the mysteries of the universe." Agolac's voice took on a rambling tone as he expounded on his nightly journey. Eventually, the story approached it's conclusion, though any potential listeners had long since walked away. "... and that's how I decided that Onidsen is Spiked. Though, you already knew I thought that yesterday, and we have some new information to work with, so consider it a potentially lethal placeholder." "As for the Dragonfly issue that was brought up before, I need to think back on the details, but I think their D1 vote felt weird coming from a Spiked. Maybe that was someone else."
  10. You have been converted to the Spiked! Conspire with your new teammates here.
  11. For voting on Weasel but ignoring interactions with Dingo. Possibly excusable because they are pinch-hitting, but it's D2 so I'm leaving it.
  12. Agolac didn't really remember much about any of the fallen townsfolk. Likely because not much worthy of remembering had happened yesterday, and that was about the best he could manage. Of immediate concern was the threat of Tineyes defacing his house. People thought that just because they were delivering messages everywhere meant they could write there own scribbles anywhere. So Agolac set about scrounging what spare lumber and nails he had lying around in order to build a proper message board for the town. A few hours later, Agolac sat in a sprawling mess of boards near the central square, his thoughts scribbled haphazardly across them. The following, in no particular order, can be read off the various bits of wood Reneau suspicion is warranted, engagement yesterday was poor Willam and Aurelian are doing more than one would expect from typical Spiked The lukewarm nature of discussion toward EOD suggests either Spiked have quiet dispositions or were not threatened The death of Reverse instead of someone quiet is notable, agree that Weasel probably wouldn't have made that kill Weasel was also the first person to put serious kill pressure on the table, a point in their favor Dragonfly's last-minute vote on Reverse also would be odd coming from a Spiked given Reverse's death Nighttime discussion was derailed and less useful than the daytime Onidsen starts with a weird vote on WitLees, who was definitely not quiet compared to most of the group Croc's list seems unhelpful, charges against me are just factually wrong. As an attempt to foster discussion it seems to have failed Death list for today is Onidsen (Coral Swan), Reneau (Heron), VarLeel (Albatross) His work done, Agolac waited around to see what would happen.
  13. "Did everyone else forget to vote? Or am I forgetting some reason that people wouldn't want to?"
  14. "Donn Keihote, if he is truly here, could not possibly be Spiked. But the man claiming to be him hasn't performed any great deeds, so I remain doubtful until I see evidence of his character. Or it's possible that I've forgotten something." [OOC]: There is a conflict between my like of Penguin's name/character and my dislike for the lack of contribution/voting. So I tried to RP in a way that reflected that, and apparently failed.
  15. Agolac's memory wasn't the best (in fact, it was possibly the worst), but the name of Donn Keihote resonated somewhere in those unfathomable depths, and surely such a man could not be Spiked. It would just be unthinkable. Didn't change the fact that someone was likely to die today. And, well, it was becoming clear that not everyone in Tyrian Falls was the person they claimed to be. If Donn Keihote really was here, no mob would be able to vanquish him.
  16. Agolac arrived at the market, making sure to keep his list in hand to stay on track. However, as he scanned the available food, it crossed his mind that he hadn't yet contributed to the ongoing discussion about the Spiked. Nasty business that, but what could you do. So before he forgot, Agolac spoke up to whoever was (or wasn't) listening. "I'm not entirely sure what to do here. But my understanding is that the only way to find Spiked is to kill them, yes? So Chartreuse Penguin, I think is a place to start. Maybe?" Then Agolac promptly left the market and returned to his house. Upon arrival, he not only found the crinkled shopping list in his pocket, but also the exact items on said list already neatly arranged in his cupboard. Agolac tossed the list into his fire before it caused any further confusion.
  17. A rather inconspicuous man of indeterminable age bumbled his way into the town square where people seemed to be congregating. "Agolac is my name, and I, uh..." Agolac fumbled in his pocket for a while before holding aloft a sheet of paper triumphantly. "Aha! And I need 3 loaves of bread, whatever meat is cheapest, and some southern imported fruit." He looked around, realized that he wasn't at the market, and ducked into a side street to recollect his thoughts.
  18. I felt like I was hanging on by my fingernails there trying to keep suspicion off me. I was a vanillager! And yet I was a train multiple times. Absolutely devastating
  19. Hey, we did it! My first game was a run of Tyrian Falls so this feels like I've come full circle. My gosh do I have some Meta feelings though
  20. Yeah see it doesn't take too much to convince me haha, but mouse isn't off the hook. Mouse Dingo. I just honestly can't say that my suspicions of mouse outweigh the reasons for voting dingo, and thus will be moving my vote.
  21. I could ask the same question about mouse, but I’m not wholly opposed to voting on dingo. It’s more of a better of two evils. Eviler of two evils? Idk. Anyway, I’m in a break between classes and can read more of the thread
  22. My thoughts on dingo are confused. Why would an elim try so hard to stand out? But at the same time what if it’s the perfect disguise? Hiding in plain sight? I’m In a thought loop. I guess i would say I find them equally sus, and non intervention is alarming after so many cycles we hit elims
