Mid-Range Game 30/Anonymous Game 2: - Scadrian Black Ops
Cream Tuatara replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The test was/is sort of time sensitive, and this is the first cycle where Mauve has failed. The only thing I’m concerned about is that we’ve been assuming the Kandra just needs one more informant dead to win. Mauve is EIB, so the Kandra couldn’t win by killing them. I would have thought either Weasel or Scorpion would have been targeted. Edit: @Mauve Crocodile where are you? -

A person has to be dead for a Kandra to impersonate them. As for Mauve, I’m a little suspicious, but I’ll get back to you on that. -

Um, @Azure Mouse, I think you misunderstand. There is almost certainly single elim who can account swap. They had an extra life, which allowed them to escape into a new body. We need to figure out where that body is. -

We do have a sort of plan to detect if someone steals one of our accounts. But sharing the details of the plan would ruin it, so that's all I can say. -

The ElB has a role that lets you check that each cycle. -

We didn’t want to put all our cards on the table, just in case we had a mislynch last cycle. Now, I suppose that it’s possible that Dingo had an ability that wasn’t revealed in the writeup. But I don’t know what that would be, especially since it didn’t seem to have any effect. Dingo was also pretty vocally against the EIB, which would make sense if he was both an elim and could detach himself from that account at the end of the cycle. -

I actually think that there is only one elim. And I’m pretty sure that it’s Vulture. Last cycle, Dingo used some sort of ability to target Vulture. But since Dingo is a vanilla Refugee, that only makes sense if the Kandra thing had eaten him, then moved on to Vulture. -

I will say that just because we are villagers with a doc doesn't mean that we know anyone else's alignments. I'm suspicious of Coral, and increasingly of Dingo, but I think the three of us are open to other suggestions. -

With Falcon we kinda facepalmed afterwards. I'm a regular refugee, except with a spike now. It doesn't give me anything except access to the doc. -

There is no scan. It was used on me Cycle 1. -

The scan was a single use. Flavorwise, they had a single Tin spike they could give me so that we could communicate in secret. -

Something I'm rather worried about is the account swapping. I'm beginning to think that Seonid is a big troll, but Azure and Mauve came up with a plan during the first cycle to potentially make us aware of any such shenanigans. It's by no means foolproof, but I would say that it is unlikely either of them was account swapped. It's possible the elim team has that ability but has been avoiding using it so they can spring a surprise at the end of the game. -

We decided it was worth revealing because there was a decent likelihood that one of us would get lynched. I was worried that if we didn't provide any details about our roles, the other villagers would just think we are elims. Also, there are still between 2 and 4 players that could be informants still. So it will take the elims a bit of luck, and they will have to choose between killing a group of confimed villagers or trying to get their win condition. -

I'm going to vote on Coral Swan. Also, There is a reason that Azure and Mauve and I have been voting together. Mauve, Azure and I are in a doc together, which is why Mauve has save my life twice. Mauve and Azure are Elendel Investigation Bureau Agents, with the win condition to have at least one Fleeing Informant survive. They had a 1 time scan, which they used on me to add me to the doc. If they had scanned an elim it would have killed the player using the scan. We still don’t know who the last informant is, but presumably there is one since Mauve and Azure haven’t lost the game yet. -

@Ivory Dragonfly My logic is as follows: You say that a close lynch is alignment indicative, being more likely to happen with elims. Presumably, that is because the elims are using their ability to work together to save members of their team that are close to getting lynched. Thus, for the close lynch on me to indicate that I am an elim, one of the players that voted on the counterlynch of Magenta, should also be an eliminator. The only two such votes were by Falcon and by Crocodile. I don't see how this is an IKYK in any way. Either elims influenced the lynch, in which case Crocodile is probably elim, or they didn't. If they did, then I'm probably elim. If they didn't, then the fact the lynch was close is NAI. Edit: As for Penguin, if I take out the players that didn't vote for Falcon, and then assume that Crocodile wasn't trying to pocket me, then Penguin is the only overlap between the lists I mentioned. -

@Ivory Dragonfly You bring up that I barely survived a lynch. For that to be alignment indicative, presumably at least one person on the elim team would have voted to save me. However, the only votes on Albatross after the three votes in quick succession on me were by Emerald Falcon (confimed village) and Mauve Crocodile. So any elim team with me on it should probably include Crocodile. -

I’m going to vote on Penguin, since they voted for Falcon and show up on both Dragonfly and Scoprion’s suspect lists. -

Well, I can see how Falcon would say the things he did if he missed that a green role means village. Unfortunately, that leaves us without getting too much from last cycle (I use we liberally here, despite my lack of activity). We have a counter wagon on Vulture, and I read that as a village move. Given that any eliminator would know that Falcon is not an elim, and that they might possibly have an incentive to kill him, it makes sense for them to join in his lynch. I'll be back in a bit to actually place a vote. Hopefully a shorter bit than cycle 1. -

Cream Tuatara replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, my initial instincts say that lynching a neutral isn't very helpful for the village. Also, lynching Falcon kinda kills discussion to find the elims this cycles. I admit that good points have been brought up in favor of lynching him, though, so perhaps conventional wisdom isn't applicable here. I want to look at the two other players that voted for me, although I'd probably give even odds that they are/were just villagers trying not to die. -

I'm here comrades. Rollover for this game is kinda late for me, so don't expect the first post from me in a given cycle until around now. I'll say some more once I finish waking up and doing other RL things. -
