- Rethinking is elimmy? My first read of the thread was quick and dirty, and my thought process was as simple as me seeing Lion’s vote and assuming they voted for the same reason as me. When relooked through things I both changed my mind about Lion and Mouse. Do you disagree re:Beagle? Because I can’t even tell why you e!read Beagle from your post. I think their solving and thoughts have been very reasonable and very village. - - Huh? xD I made a reads list soon after. That wasn’t meant to be a dodge of work. Let's not jump to conclusions. Perhaps they abstained from killing out of caution or fear of revealing themselves. Perhaps they are inactive. Perhaps they were roleblocked. There are many explanations. You're thinking of Flamingo. It's a group PM with me (and Dragonfly) also in it, so I wouldn't ascribe an e!read to that for you specifically. My take on the kill is that the elims picked someone who was consensus v and unlikely to be protected, relatively speaking. I don't think we need to overthink their strategy. Most of the time elim kills don't have that much strategy to begin with. Hyena I'm legitimately tempted to vote Chameleon purely because they opened with three FUD falsehoods and a performative statement, but nah. Edit: Traditionally we'd also see coins flying through the mist in the writeup, which we don't here. Plus, in AG8 when Octo was double-tapped, it was mentioned in the tags, of which there are none here.

Agree that shooting Penguin is a bad idea. Hyena would be a nice slot to have cleared for me personally. Also. Formally requesting protection from the NK. Lurcher, ignore me if you want. Let the IKYKs begin.

Yeah, that's the ping I was talking about, sorry. I guess you sort of answered it in your previous post but not really what I was getting at. Basically, I noticed that the post you made after Dragonfly's reads list was pretty detailed, but neglected to mention anything about Dragonfly themselves, which I found odd given you were voting them in a close exe race. I'd have expected you to at least comment on how it didn't sway you if you were at all invested in voting them. Additionally, I think it's pretty widely agreed that that post in particular was obv vil, but I super hesitate to actually use that against you because obviously you don't have to agree with thread consensus. So I'm not asking if you would have changed your vote, I'm asking why you didn't, I guess. Speaking of reads lists. Could I see yours? You've done a lot of asking a lot of questions and not as much of directly saying things you think.

Things I noted from rereading D1: Heron's only posts of substance were to defend Hyena after I initially voted them, and to discredit my v!Beagle read (which I definitely still stand by). Hyena's opening itself felt more village to me on this pass, though I still don't like their subsequent posts. Possible e/e connection with Heron. Elephant trying to get out of a bad voting by claiming there was nothing of substance on page 3 stands out. Dragonfly was obviously village from even their first post, gah. Retrospect goes crazy. Meerkat's tone is very odd. They're far too concerned with their own survival for my liking. If they're a new player I don't really suspect them for this, but there isn't really a way to know that stays in the spirit of this game. But they're on my shot list. I like Kangaroo's reads. They seem genuine and polarizing enough to warrant a light v read. If Beagle is evil I'm actually quitting SE @Amber Vulture what did you think of Dragonfly's big reads list post at the time? As a general rule I like Flamingo's posting. ...So there's no riot. Okay, sure. While I agree that the Ostrich-Penguin connection is prominent, I think it's too convenient and I buy Ostrich's explanation post from this turn. Not to mention I still vibe read Penguin as village. I disagree with Hyena being TWTBAW but that's all personal opinion I suppose. My top three coinshots would be Hyena, Meerkat, and Elephant, though any of the inactives would do fine. Don't shoot Lion though. I'll respond to PMs and then backread. Ugh. That was so predictable after their EoD. Was Vulture around for that? This immediately makes Ostrich looks worse, imo. Lots I plan to unpack. But later.

If anything I'd call that a reason to lean village. Lurkers can be evil, but only in some cases. I attribute e!lurkers to people who have at least some presence, or are at least trying to have a presence, whereas v!lurkers just don't care. In Weasel I see much more of the latter. There are other options. I am certainly willing to accept you in this game-- that never changed. I'm confident that's a unanimous opinion even if tone is very difficult to parse, especially in these circumstances. At the very least, I don't want to kill anyone for those reasons. This exe might not be as ticking of a time bomb as the recent BT, but I don't intend to use it in a way that doesn't really move the game forward.

Tiers are roughly ordered: Transcendent: Scorpion Village Lean: Beagle, Falcon, Mouse Village Light: Chameleon, Vulture, Swan, Rhino, Iguana Null: Penguin (+), Lion (+), Dingo (+), [Everyone else], Elephant (-), Kangaroo (-), Meerkat (-) Elim ish: Dragonfly, Hyena Sort of a basic reads list in the sense that it's pretty much thread consensus but that's what I vibe right now. It's also mildly activity based but that's where we are D1 /shrug Dragonfly, Hyena

It’s correct in the same sense that Falcon pointed out a couple of times. You’re encouraging useful discussion so I doubt my vote will be permanent but I’m not moving it at the moment.

Noting continuity issues regarding Saffron Iguana— they mention an overall village feel of the memers yet vote them anyway. Worth poking here.

Three times I think gets the point across? I like gut reads, so I disagree with that being what was bad. I suppose I can respect a legit gut read but my initial impression was that you were voting entirely playstyle based.

Beagle referred to being outside the NK. I found the reference genuine. Therefore I think Beagle is village. There's not much else to say. Then you should look harder, I suppose. Playstyle voting helps nothing and encourages a boring game. I don't believe that in three pages there's nothing that gives you a read of any kind. I'm not locking the read in or anything. But I don't think e!Beagle goes "Yknow what would be a good gambit, referring to the NK in a post so that people village read me for it!". That's not how evil brain works. Evil brain plays in basic ways. So when I see something implying village, I'm fine with trusting that for now. Feel free to prove me wrong later but an IKYK isn't going to dissuade me from a village read.

I don't think evil would think to post that. At least not in a way that seems so natural. It being NAI is precisely my point. Voting for NAI reasons is poor form, and using D1 as an excuse to do nothing is as well.

Beagle is surely village for this. Plum Rhinoceros Charcoal Hyena I think I still village read Opal Lion. I'm getting good vibes from Chartreuse Penguin. Hyena's vote is objectively poor form.
