    Maybe! My thought is that it the awakening Elder God would be the one who made the Rituals, and that would begin to cause an imbalance in the Ritual/Natural magic balance. That could cause all sorts of strange effects.

    Tom spun around angrily. "It's real! It's ALL REAL!!" He fell to his knees, his face overcome with grief. "Why? Why have you forsaken me so? Why was I not good enough? Why...?" He trailed off, sobbing.

    Tom's face was a mask of sorrow. "It is too late, Tamika. I heard your words. You cannot change who you are." He turned away. "Your memories were destroyed, as his were. Who you were is gone. That woman... that is what I wanted."

    Tom Joebob laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed. He opened his eyes and called into the void. "It is no worse than what she has done to me." He turned to her. "Sorry? Sorry won't cut it. Not anymore."

    Tom kept laughing. "What if I make it real?" He snapped his fingers. In an instant they were there, watching them from the sidewalk outside AJ's suburban home.

    The air flicked. A shade of Tom Joebob appeared. "You don't believe me? Really? Even now?" He laughed, flickering. "What if I show you?" A window appeared. Inside it, a family sat eating dinner. There were three children, with ages ranging from 3 to 13. AJ sat at the head of the table with a woman- not Star or Thought - laughing and eating the meal. He was happy.

    Through the power of edits, Xino saved TLT from Things More Powerful Than Narrators. Nothing could be more powerful than a Narrator, after all.

    Tom Joebob sneered. "I wasn't talking about that, girl. I moved on past that a long time ago." He smiled cruelly. "But AJ doesn't even remember you exist. I killed him, you know. He was reborn. But he never remembered anything. He's living with his wife right now. They have three kids, and they're happily married." "Wait all you want, Tamika. He's never coming to save you." Then his throat was cut. He fell to the ground, gasping, and expired. But the smile never left his face.

    Xino shrugged. "She does deserve it." Tom Joebob began to laugh. An evil laugh. He cut off abruptly. "Don't think your precious AJ will come to save you."

    Xino vetoed the reset. Tom bent down low and whispered in her ear. "You betrayed me. I trusted you, and you threw that trust away." He stood back up. "But don't think I haven't gotten my revenge." He smiled, a sinister smile.

    Tom hissed. "Have you forgotten already? Again? Perils of holding the Shard of Thought, I suppose."

    Xino shrugged. "He doesn't want rescuers."

    Tom laughed cruelly. "I'm not the one who forced a vial of that horrible black liquid down the throat of someone who trusted me."

    Tom Joebob appeared. He offered her a vial of red liquid.

    Xino began to shake. He couldn't use his Narrator powers. That would be cheating. He knew that.

    Xino explained that Marsh had never gone where Star was, so how could they be together? He remembered the children, but it hadn't been him who had undone them. That had been Star. Tom was nowhere near Star, so he didn't do that. Fantastic did, though.

    Xino frowned, but let it slide as Jaywalk had been off-canon anyways. Meanwhile, Marsh began to feel very different. The potion makes you more self-centered, lowers your inhibitions, and increases your joy at the suffering of others.
