    If you truly will not, are you satisfied with the way things are? That the dreamseed cannot be broken?

    That is what happened. It is what always happened. It is the only thing that could have happened. Nothing else fits the hole. Just because things are encapsulated within the dreamseed does not mean they are imprisoned. Very little pull is felt on their soul, easy to resist. A dismembered body part, on the other hand... no chance, no chance at all. If additions were being crafted, it was by means of clarification. And to protect the fidelity of the dreamseed, an object of immense power that should be respected.

    Nameless misunderstood. Two dreamseeds had been found. One had been converted. The other had not. Nameless hand had, in a sense, been absorbed the minute he touched the dreamseed, along with all the rest of him. That was how dreamseeds worked- they could adjust the space they occupied to absorb or reject certain things. But his 'thing' was no more than an simple, average stick, easily snapped in two. The mimes did not withdraw their refusal to accept his undeclaration. Keeping the world as in line as I can.

    This was false, as the dreamseed was a neccessary component in keeping those who needed imprisonment imprisoned. Dreamseeds could be converted into other things, but those other things would not retain its properties. Healthium did not have the power to confuse minds or the power to encapsulate entities; it was merely an antithesis to the prisoners it was trying to encapsulate. The mimes refused to acknowledge his undeclaration for not having anything to back it up. I'm not...

    Nameless was corrected. Part of the quest had been about getting healthium. Another part of it had been finding a dreamseed to put it in. How the dreamseed works had been explained before. The mimes undeclared the existence of a competition to take victory over.

    FT had said it as such because it looked like healthium, but that was just because the dreamseed was imitating the incorporated layer. The mimes undeclared his victory. Samuel stood up. "Sometimes, you've just gotta go with what's going." He stared off into the distance, lost in thought.

    Jacob had already known that something like this had happened, but seeing it for himself... actually witnessing his precious pen in the hands of an enemy... His left eyelid twitched, but he remained otherwise calm. Calm. That was important. Most of his power might be in the pen, but most wasn't all. He still had a few tricks up his sleeve, a few cards left to play. But he needed to be calm. "So that's where it went," he said aloud. "I'd been wondering."

    Nameless was reminded that it was an additive, not a flavoring/overwrite. Samuel sighed, appearing just in front of Nameless with a pop. "Look, kiddo... I know Mr. Silence is all about makin' your own rules, but the truth?" He conjured a chair and sat down. "Makin' up your own rules is only going to get you so far."

    Dreamseeds are well able to control anything that happens within- Healthium only adds to that power, adding an extra layer of security. Samuel hesitated. And as for the rules...

    Samuel raised an eyebrow. Not that Nameless could see that, of course, but he did it nonetheless. A nice dream, he concluded. But your hand was absorbed into the dreamseed, so only a dream it shall remain...

    So can we, said Samuel, an edge creeping into his voice. He cleared his throat, then Narrated. Nameless took a closer look at the real dreamseed. With horror, he realized that it was not, in fact, the genuine article but- instead- a cunning fake! He shook his fist frustratedly at the empty air. "Curse you, meddling mimes!" You were the foolun' that caused Sugar to escape in the first place, said Samuel. 'Fraid you've sorta' lost your chance, kiddo. Nameless sighed. Well, at least he'd still have a front row seat to the showdown between Jacob and the Witherlord.

    Samuel sighed in exasperation as continuity stalled. Give me a break, will ya? he said. With a swoosh, he swung an invisible blade and cut Nameless's hand off at the wrist. As the seed pulled away from Nameless, Samuel snapped again, restoring continuity as the two teleported away- this time without any hangers-on. Don't try to follow, said his disembodied voice to Nameless a moment after the man himself had disappeared. It won't go well for you. But that was only the first step. Inside the dreamseed, invented refineries churned and bubbled, ready to rid the un- from unhealthy.

    Nameless was corrected. Since Sugar was a primarily mental being, proper action would result in a mental bifurcation. Action that the dreamseed was well prepared to undergo. Sorry, said Samuel the mime apologetically. Orders, y'know. No one uncertified's allowed near it. He snapped, and both he and the dreamseed vanished. Nameless was left behind, unable to follow.

    The dreamseed went into hyperdrive Isolation mode, fooling Sugar at every turn he made. Nonsense! The dream-seed is far too devious and powerful for that to happen! None of the barriers have fallen as of now, so there's no way out. The seed fooled him into expending more of his power than he intended. Except that Sugar was bad at math, and failed to realize that splitting something in two resulted in two copies at half power, not two at full power. The total power of Sugar had, of course, not changed a bit. The dreamseed was whisked away before Sugar or any of his allies could get to it. There were plans for this seed, oh yes.

    No, the shrine is extraneous- basically just a warning as to what's inside. The dreamseed+healthium barrier is more than enough. What Sugar didn't realize, however, was that the friction between the Narrators had actually split him in two. Both did the same things, more or less, but only one had real impact.

    The death of this character was decided to be retconned for later incorporation. "Hello," whispered a voice in cracked, hissing tones. The Witherlord materialized out of the shadow. "Looking for this?" he said, lips turning up in a sinister smile as he extended his hand and revealed to Jacob his pen.

    It was revealed to Nameless that the elephant had not been corrupted but possesed. Except that Sugar wasn't the first to get there. For the elephants brain had been fortified with the renewed Healthium-dreamseed ingot.

    The beauty was, it didn't matter. By entering the mindspace of the elephant, Sugar had unwittingly trapped himself. He couldn't escape simply because he didn't know he was trapped.
