"I said, do you understand me?"
-
"My offer extends to you," spoke Corundum. "The power to bring death- and the power to take it away."
-
The woman's eyes flashed with anger. She extended a long, slender arm and snapped her fingers. Suddenly huge weight crushed Ellis to the ground. "You are my descendant," she seethed. "My child. You will do as you are told. You will not allow what is rightfully yours to slip through your fingertips. Do you understand?" "You are not Yulong," said Corundum. "I wish to speak to her."
-
"Not dead," replied the woman. "But very much here. My descendants will not be without guidance." "Very well. An answer for an answer. My name is Corundum."
-
The woman sighed. "Were you not paying attention at all when Cupra told you that horrifically biased history?" she accused. "I am the one to whom the throne of this world rightfully belongs." This history, for reference: Ah, gotcha. The visitor's head tilted slightly. "And who might you be?" he asked curiously.
-
The amulet was held by a magician named Mavilon up until recently. That sounds like a game plan. Care to explain more? "Yes, it is," said the woman bluntly. "It has been the destiny of your lineage- my lineage - for time immemorial." *blink* I'm... not supposed to know who "her" is, am I?
-
The revenant froze in the light of the blade's fire. It would be more accurate to say that the amulet is using Ellis than the converse. I like the way you think but the amulet has a very rich history. It might not be the best idea to insert a wielder without a greater understanding of how they will fit into the plot. "You are a bringer of death. An Angel, even." The stranger's eyes gleamed. "But your control is not complete... is it, Yulong?" The woman raised her eyebrows. "You are not ready? But of course. Did I not say I was here to remedy that?"
-
"Power," replied the figure simply. "Ancestor would be more accurate, I suppose," said the woman. "But you can call me Grandmother." The woman crossed her arms. "I am here to prepare you," she replied. "Your destiny is nigh at hand." Well, they already have a guide in the form of the amulet. However, a revenant would be attacking you now regardless. By entering Ellis's dream, you revealed your location.
-
No, we definitely know who the Dark Lord is. The mist chuckled, resolving into a feminine figure robed in black. "What a terrible thing to say to your Grandmother," she responded. A revenant stood up, eyes unfocused.
-
The sound of screams echoes from far away on the winds. The figure shifted forwards into the light of the fire, revealing its pale gray face and milky white eyes. "Peace, sentry," it murmurs. "I come to bargain." @Mystic Syn

For hers she needs to be the only one awake. But since I want to get this done before I die of old age, time has no meaning. Luckily it doesn't particularly matter what order these happen in, although chronologically it would make most sense for this to happen after both Cupra and Melody's watches. In the darkness, a figure stirred, only visible by the faint reflection of the firelight in its eyes. Well there is Dr. Who Octopus the evil scientist robotic octopus, who is currently trying to travel back in time to take over the universe. He won't be important until he needs to be. You probably won't be fighting him. There is the Gray Man, a drab human-shaped creature with the ability to suck the life force out of people and turn them into revenants under his control. You probably will be fighting him. There is the mysterious Dark Lord, who has definitely not already shown up. The party is currently on a mission to take an amulet to a specific place called the World's Origin, although they don't know why. The amulet is having strange effects on Ellis- again, they don't know why. I would advise reading from page 150 to get fully caught up on recent events. Also, I would advise you to get out of that dream as soon as you possibly can. The entity communicating with Ellis will not take kindly to trespassers.
-
Well, up on the surface are a whole bunch of undead minions brought to life by one of the antagonists. You could go to town on them for a while while you soliloquize on how you came to be in this situation. Ellis dreamed he was awake. A dark shadow swirled before him. @Condensation, @Mystic Syn I've got some scenes planned whilst your characters are on guard, if you would be amenable.
-
"I will take first watch," announced Cupra, sitting down.
-
"A good thing this is not a cave, then," replied Cupra, tapping on the metal surface of the tunnel.
-
"We will have to see," replied Cupra. I imagine the characters are all pretty tired at this point- they probably haven't slept for upwards of a whole day at this point. Why am I mentioning this? No reason.
-
"He does not seem to be injured," observed Cupra. "Merely... exhausted."
-
"It seems," remarked Cupra, "that we will have to camp here until your companion awakes."
-
Cupra's gaze lingered on Ellis for a moment, then shifted to Gerald. Gingerly, she prodded the unconscious octopus. A holographic projection suddenly popped up, causing her to jump slightly. The image was of Z's drifting off aimlessly. Cupra sighed.
-
Gerald lay unconscious on the ground.
-
Gerald groaned, slumping to the ground.
-
Gerald's eyes flash strobing green. He emits a high pitched whistle. Meanwhile, the hubbub of the amulet is dying down to a low murmur.
-
"Ellis... stop...!" said Gerald through gritted beak. His mechanical arm rattled like an overworked computer. "Please..."
-
The Origin. But it's like a day of traveling through tunnels. Gerald gritted his beak. There was one thing he could try. Focusing his will, he extended his tentacle towards Ellis and pulled. All of sudden, Ellis felt the pull inside him falter, wobbling back and forth.
-
"Ellis!" cried Gerald, desperately trying to get his attention. "ELLIS!"
-
"Wait!" called Gerald. "Ellis-" "After him," declared Cupra, following Ellis down the tunnel.
