  1. "Uh... her last name was Jones. I don't remember what her first name was."
  2. "Hmm? Oh- yes. My Reality 512 teacher mentioned someone who had recovered from becoming a withergeist before." The clock creature wondered why Sequence wasn't destroying stuff.
  3. I think it's so cool! Nothing like that ever happens to me! Can you tell me more?
  4. "So," declared the Wanderer. "What're we going to do about... this situation?" Don't you think that's exciting? Also, tell me more!!?
  5. You don't think home is boring? You don't like adventures?
  6. The Wanderer sighed and sat down in one of the chairs the consultant had provided. At least nobody was trying to kill her now. The survey accepted the story reluctantly.
  7. "The information gathered will be off great value," replied the consultant. The survey waited in expectation for a story.
  8. Let's say Sequence was able to do that. Nameless still shouldn't die from it yet though
  9. "Excellent!" declared the consultant. "Then the survey may resume." The table with the paper on it reappeared.
  10. "Patience, Sequence, patience..." the Witherlord advised. "Your opportunity will come, I promise. But I have need of them yet. Do not worry, there is plenty else to destroy while you wait." "Are you well?" inquired the consultant.
  11. It seemed not yet time for Thaidakar's life to be threatened by withergeists. "Are you well now?" inquired the consultant of Moni.
  12. The clock creature begged Sequence to go back to the Clockverse and destroy some more stuff together. "No violence," instructed the nameless consultant, pulling the two apart.
  13. Sequence found herself in an empty room in front of a sign reading "Sorry, we're closed." "What are you doing?" exclaimed the Wanderer.
  14. The nameless consultant peered at Moni. "Are you feeling unwell?" he inquired.
  15. "Come with me," the nameless consultant instructed, dragging Moni through the doorway. The wanderer gasped and followed quickly, dragging Thaidakar behind her. The clock creature urged Sequence to go back and destroy some more of the Clockverse.
  16. At that moment, space ripped open. The nameless consultant stepped into the room. "I do not believe you were finished," he declared to Moni.
  17. "I'm an explorer, not a fighter!" whispered the wanderer in terror.
  18. The wanderer paused. "Actually... there was one."
  19. It was comforted when it realized that there were still corners left it could destroy. "I very strongly disagree with that," said the Wanderer, folding her arms. "How can you be so sure your plan will work? Do you know anything about how withergeists function, or their history?" Thaidakar, the clockwork creature is evil now.
  20. "Immediately," said the Witherlord with a smile. "I'll leave you to it." "What do you mean, you aren't going to tell us?" exclaimed the Wanderer incredulously. It's corrupted now, so it loves destruction too.
  21. "Everything that the Narrators create. Over and over again."
  22. "No," said the Witherlord. "Not yet. That would not be enough. You destroy them once, and then... they are gone. You cannot destroy them any longer." "What is it?" asked the wanderer apprehensively.
  23. "More of the same," replied the Witherlord. "You know the other Narrators?" The wanderer furrowed her brow. "How would a withergeist owe you... anything?"
