  1. Likely not a very useful gateway, then, the mime remarked drily. It is not something I had a reason to use so far, no. It seemed the best composition for something used to aid in the reconstitution of a shattered luxite crystal. It certainly couldn't actually be an alloy of all four fundamental substances, or otherwise capable of creating luxite, or the Witherlord would have eradicated it/the mimes utilized it by now.
  2. Likely you would have formed a permanent gateway between the universes you jumped between. And, of course, it would have been a beacon to any creature in the void. But the Witherlord would have found out regardless, so it does not matter. The ground and sky rumbled. Balancium cannot be used for luxite transmutation. Only ordered light entities have that capability. Balancium is an alloy of prismite and nullite. Moreover, it is a substance and not an entity.
  3. Make more luxite, the mime responded. We have access to great quantities of Narrativium which could be converted.
  4. Ideally, incorporate it into your amulet, the mime replied.
  5. Oops, I meant to do a reread earlier. Well, I'm kind of out of time now. Ash (2): Steel, Xino Xino (3): Elandera, Mat, Araris I'm confident enough in the possibility of Ash being evil that I'll vote them to (maybe) survive. See you all tomorrow if I don't die. Postscript: I protected Archer N1 and Elandera N2.
  6. The mime projected a location into Nameless's mind.
  7. Follow me, the mime said, grabbing hold of Namless's hand and warping them to Samanth. Can you leap again? asked the mime. Void travel with luxite would be extremely unsafe, given the circumstances. Let us proceed, remarked the survey.
  8. We need to act fast, the mime said, ignoring the Knight's glare. The Witherlord will be arriving shortly. -- A mime appeared next to Nameless. Your services are requested, it said simply. 655 did not look enthused.
  9. The survey had no idea. A neutral figure - a mime - was awaiting them where they landed.
  10. One second later, the Knight popped into existence. One second after that, withergeists poured through the wall. 655 sighed. "Nothing. If you really want Gravel to come, he can come... I guess."
  11. A consultant intern answered the phone. 655 mumbled something unintelligible.
  12. "Oh. Right. Except for him." Withergeists were already chewing on the containment area.
  13. The survey thought this sounded reasonable enough.
  14. 655 sighed. "I suppose we could try to find the plane where the mimes are. Who knows? Maybe we'll get lucky." I think we've decided against that, the survey interjected. Going to the mimes might attract the attention of the consultants.
  15. Hold up. No way. *frantic googling* Enchanted Glass was written by Diana Wynne Jones!? I mean, in retrospect, it makes sense. I never really paid attention to author names when I was younger.
  16. "I... really don't know enough about X to say. I don't know much about X at all, really."
  17. 655 shrugged. "How could anything be special on TLT?"
  18. In response to Nameless's call, a tear appeared in reality. Withergeists flooded through, withering all they touched. 655 sighed. "I can't leave."
  19. Time to rebucket! Good Bucket Bad Bucket Alvron's getting promoted because of the kill on Stick. Steel's getting demoted since I'm getting kind of a strange vibe on re-read. Did you... not take an villager action last night? That feels like an odd thing to say if you'd gotten a response from the GM about the result of a generic action... there's only one kill, so if Alv succeeded then by definition anyone else submitting a kill would have failed. VC: (darn ninjas) Elandera (2): Ash, Archer Xino (1): Matrim's Dice JNV (3): Araris, Elandera, Xino Archer (1): Steel Hmm. I can absolutely see that happening. This is... quite convincing. I think I will demote JNV to the Bad Bucket. Also I just realized that Stick left her vote on Mat at the end of the cycle, which seems... odd, if he were her teammate. Sure, Ash had two votes, and it was still only one out of five without those. But Mat was one of those votes, so if he was storing away his vote as Stick's teammate, she would have known about it. And even a twenty percent chance is plenty risky. Then again, maybe Mat was vote manipped, or Stick thought moving off would raise too much suspicion. Even so, I'm feeling less sure about Mat's bucket now. Edit: I have no idea what happened to this post, nor do I have any idea how to fix it. (Note to self: do not CP buckets)
  20. The survey had no clue what the problem even entailed.
  21. "Stop me from constantly turning into dust, for one."
