I find this offensive :D

Working out was life changer for me. Still feel sad sometimes of course but I need an important reason for that now. Started working out a year ago, simple push ups and stuff, life seems better. It does not have to be about bodybuilding or fitness, all I do is push my body a bit. I burn through that excessive energy which most of us bookworms and nerdy people tend to hoard and suddenly I don't have enough of it to waste it on being sad ) Clears my mind as well and after some time of doing it I started getting serious confidence boosts out of it. It's good for health obviously and when I started seeing changes in my body I stopped being lazy and avoiding stuff that need hardship and time to give you something back. So yeah, best medicine for my sadness is imagining I'm some badass warrior who's gonna kick some villains chull later on but first he needs a little timeskip to get stronger and this totally works :D If exercise doesn't works, than stop being sad, be awesome instead and try it again. Simple as that

Warbreaker movie casting (dream list) *spoilers*
Cracknut replied to BreathTaker's topic in Warbreaker
I read that I just don't understand why. And I'm saying this third time: I don't find Baldwin and Fillion fitting. I don't really do these dream-cast things but okay for letting me do it. Did I ever tell you that you should put Baldwin or Fillion in your cast? Nope. I simply stated my opinion on your choice of Denth. Or I'm not supposed to do stuff like that because that's your dream cast?- 99 replies

Warbreaker movie casting (dream list) *spoilers*
Cracknut replied to BreathTaker's topic in Warbreaker
If you had read previous posts you would know its reversed. Nathan as a bad guy(denth) while Adam as a good guy(Vasher). He might have played mixed roles but for me that guy pretty much screams villain. As of Nathan Fillion, I don't see him being your average 'hero' in Firefly. He's pretty good at being gray morality kind of a good guy which Vasher is. But again I was talking about him being bad guy... And as you can see I've stated it myself that they don't fit those roles... Btw why should Denth be Latino? Edit: Yes I can see Vasher as a buff manly dude. Scholars can be buff manly dudes. But again, it misses the point. Edit again: You obviously haven't seen EVERY SINGLE ONE OF ADAM's ROLES. Firefly even though he's not the best guy there and Chuck.- 99 replies

Warbreaker movie casting (dream list) *spoilers*

Best part in this book for me was that twist. You cast someone like John Leguizamo as Denth, I'll see it coming mile away. I would rather have someone with more of an trustworthy reputation, who hasn't done that twist role thousand times already Adam Baldwin vs. Nathan Fillion is too good even if they don't fit their roles at all- 99 replies

Can't agree with that. First off it has important character development. There's a big confidence leap between Kvothe before Felurian and after. Especially when interacting with women. Whole redheaded waitress part proves that. Then there's a lot of information about world and some of the legends get touched. And as far as I'm concerned there hasn't been anything in these books that was unimportant. It might look that way right now to some of that but I doubt it won't play some kind of role in part 3. I read both books when I was 16 and didn't even think about it. Edit: Just remembered that it was recommended by 15 year old girl............

Hello all you lovely fellow bookworms
Cracknut replied to timemagetim's topic in Introduce Yourself!
And Emperor's Soul. It's a novella too but it's set on same planet as Elantris and talks about one of the most basic and important law of Cosmere. And it's good :3 -
Hello all you lovely fellow bookworms
Cracknut replied to timemagetim's topic in Introduce Yourself!
welcome timemagetim And it kinda tells story of them writing Death Note You should watch Code Geass if you haven't. Sci-fi/Mecha version of DN with more school/comedy/romance/action and a much better ending. And check out Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It's done by the same two dudes who did Kill la Kill, although it's much more serious project and has less fan-service, art and animation is samey. btw how far are you into Cosmere? -
So there's what I think. 17thshard is trying to catch him because: a) They don't know what his motives are and he has too big of an influence to leave him alone. He's potential danger to Cosmere, and as long as they can't control him at least to some point he needs to be caught. They need his knowledge. 17thshard might be most knowledgeable organisation in Cosmere but compared to him they're children. c) 17thshard is doing something big, but Hoid is messing with their plans. Or all of them. Hoid as main antagonist: I think Hoid shattered Adonalsium but he did it accidentally and now is trying to redeem himself by recreating it. He will be main antagonist of cosmere, because recreation of Adonalsium will also recreate Cosmere and destroy what it already is. I wouldn't say that he would be worse than Odium for that. Odium is pure hate, there's nothing more about him while Hoid is a human. He doesn't wants to destroy Cosmere, but for greater good and righting his own wrong he will do it. So ending won't be some good vs evil battle, it will be human vs human. At this point I doubt 17thshard knows Hoid's motives so I don't think they're trying to catch him for that. They would be trying harder surely and Hoid's good at hiding his personality. 17thshard: There was a topic about Kelsier being a man-made shard and leader of 17thshard organisation. I'm buying that. there it is. This also would explain why Kelsier and Hoid wouldn't get along. Because Hoid will destroy existing Cosmere to recreate Adonalsium while Kelsier will never have that.

Attack on Titan is violent but it got nothing on Berserk and Gantz. I don't see how being violent/gruesome/etc could be bad thing in manga/anime like Attack on Titan.

Legion isn't Cosmere novel. I've seen some people recommending it as a Cosmere novel here in a lot of threads but it can really ruin expectations if it's not Cosmere related. Just saying... Warbreaker is great, I wouldn't go as far as to say that it's my favorite or that it's Brandons best work but it's a must if you're getting into Cosmere and it has all the great things we love in Sandersons other books so you'll most likely enjoy it. I would recommend reading this before WoR though. The Emperor's Soul is best read before Stormlight Archive as well. I wouldn't go into Alloy after trilogy. There are lots of references and its kinda same world, but it has totally different story/pacing/atmosphere. It's better to take some time and get over HoA first
-
Knights Radiant anyone? 2:50-3:05 especially
-
Same here but the fact that he will 'let it happen' can be explained by that WoB as well

Hoid and Kelsier both would burn whole worlds to achieve their goals so that's not exactly the thing there. We haven't seen Hoid kill anyone but that's either because we don't get much of his story or he simply can't harm people directly. Kelsier will do anything for survival of mankind, while Hoid will destroy mankind for whatever his goal is. At least that's as much as we know so far and that seems a good reason for them to dislike each other.

Code Geass is closest anime to Death Note there is. It has much more action/romance/comedy/school though which makes it even better at least for me and it chooses sci-fi way of doing stuff instead of fantasy. Ultimately its better than Death Note simply because it's ending wasn't scrapped and it's second season did much better than DN's. So if DN is your favorite as well as Gundam 00 than you'll most likely love it.

Is Renarin the 1st to have Two Shard blades!?
Cracknut replied to metaldragon's topic in Stormlight Archive
One of Renarin's weaknesses so far has been that Shardblade. He didn't freeze in duel because of his disease. It happened because he had to summon and hold that sword. So I don't see why would he want to keep it even if dualwielding shardblades was a smart thing to do. How exactly would using two Shardblades versus UnSharded opponents be useful? It would exhaust Shardbearer faster and make him slower while giving him no real advantages. Dual wielding is weaker in every way except speed which doesn't applies to huge swords like dead-spren-blades and versatility. First one is pointless no matter who's your opponent while second one... I don't see why Shardbearer would need two Shardblades to fight regular soldier... On the other hand it would work against other Shardbearers, especially in duel matches, because Shardbearers don't get any training with/against two Shardblades and I'm not sure how their stances would work against it. But most likely it would still be worse than a single Shardblade, except in some special cases. Smaller Shardblades though would have a huge advantage while dual wielded. Is it possible to hold two Honorblades? And I'm really interested if its possible to turn your Spren into two weapons. I hope Szeth will get his own Sprenblade in next book and wield it with Nightblood. -
He was pretty cool in WoR. Awesome enough to stand beside Adolin even though he didn't even have pov. At least that's how I see it. Edit: Shallan was one annoying me with the way she acted with him and pretty much everyone else except Kal and Bridge 4.
