  1. How is it then that Honorblades are now able to be powered by Stormlight. Were they originally created with this ability, or is this something new?
  2. Clearly Brandon didn't want to answer the Eshonai question and so removed the WOB option from personalizations. Obviously that means she's not actually gone
  3. Oh right, I forgot. @Rebecca, @Darkness_, thoughts? I believe that it doesn't matter which order we guess them in.
  4. I think the main reason Oathbringer has elicited such a different reaction from the other books is that in it (similar to The Last Jedi), the good guys fail. A lot. Kaladin fails to save Elhokar, fails to say the 4th ideal. Much of the Western Roshar is lost; Kholinar is not freed; Thaylenah is wrecked. Past Dalinar makes terrible/evil decision after terrible/evil decision. Present Dalinar proves completely inept at holding together the coalition. Shallan fails throughout the whole book, disastrously so. What happened with her giving food to that urchin literally made me feel sick. Most of the time, in any media, the good guys win more often than they lose. When they don't, it seems strange. However, it opens up much more interesting storylines for the series as a whole, and will likely prove to be the right decision in the end.
  5. Ien (Raoden's Seon) and The Thrill seem like the obvious choices. But I'm confused - I thought there were only 9 agents. We've already identified 8 of them, so 2 more would make 10.
  6. My point was that the concept of a center of gravity is a simplification that we use. In reality, the field acts separately on each individual particle. This can explain how Kelsier was able to do his trick, as he mentally divided the bars into different sections and was then able to push/pull on them separately. This can also explain the larger issue of how pieces of metal are divided up into object that each get a blue line. Why does a bar of metal only get one line, and not one for each atom? Because the concept of the bar is a single object because of how people think of it (similar to Shadesmar beads). If you're able to change the cognitive perception of the bar into two half-bars, then you can do neat tricks like Kelsier did.
  7. @EC11, great post. However, in the paragraph introducing Kelsier's crew, I believe you've confused Demoux with Dockson.
  8. I agree that there are a lot of similarities between gravitation/electro-magnetism and steelpushing (less so for pulling). Basically any of the inverse square forces, which I assume were the basis for pushing/pulling. Gravity affects all parts of you, not just your center of gravity.
  9. I agree, Rebecca. Especially since those two are specifically called out in the Coppermind page. However, I think there's something messed up with the timer - the clue was only posted 8 hours ago.
  10. Adolin Kholin, Jasnah Kholin, Bridge Four, Surgebinding Pass turn
  11. I would say Adolin, Jasnah, Bridge Four for sure. Then Surgebinding next. Other options could be Stormwardens or Sadeas.
  12. Since we have no more info, pass turn.
  13. Definitely The Kandra Homeland. And then Scadrial by process of elimination; the other Mistborn ones are The Path, Elendel, and The Conventical of Seran, none of which have anything to do with Atium.
  14. Don't forget about the other component of flashbangs, sound. So not just blind, but also deaf and disoriented. Microwaves: While gamma waves might be a stretch, microwaves seem much more feasible (and safer for the user). Microwaves actually are lower energy than visible light, and can cause severe burns and incapacitating pain. I believe we've only seen Illumination produce radiation, not detect it. Night vision goggles and the like work by detecting IR produced via black body radiation. Similarly, she could reproduce the transmit portion of a radar/sonar, but wouldn't be able to make use of it if she couldn't interpret the results.
  15. Great game everyone! I'm definitely up to play again. In case anyone's wondering, here's a recap of the Red Team's clues: Nobleman 4: Tet Wikim Davar, Waxillium Ladrian, Noorden, King Yomen I had hoped that the gendered Nobleman would convey male Guessed: Waxillium Ladrian, Sophi Tarcsel Modification 2: Dilaf, Axies the Collector Here i was also considering Deformity or Disfigurement. Shardblade was a happy accident Guessed: Axies the Collector, Shardblade, Dilaf Male 3: Tet Wikim Davar, Noorden, King Yomen This was supposed to pair with the 3 remaining Noblemen, but it didn't work out very well Guessed: King Yomen, Szeth Scholar 3: Tet Wikim Davar, Noorden, Shashara This is the only clue that worked out the way I thought it was going to Guessed: Shashara, Tet Kimim Davar, Noorden
  16. @Steeldancer @Rebecca @Darkness_ @Jondesu Shashara, Tet Wikim Davar, and Noorden are the three remaining red agents. That means the Red Team wins! Great game everyone!
  17. The Red team's new clue is: Scholar 3 @Steeldancer @Rebecca @Darkness_ @Jondesu Link to gameboard
  18. Szeth is an Innocent Bystander. @xinoehp512, it's the Blue Team's turn.
  19. The Red team's new clue is: Male 3 @Steeldancer @Rebecca @Darkness_ @Jondesu Link to gameboard
  20. Dilaf is also a Red Agent. The red team's turn is now over. @xinoehp512, it's the blue team's turn now.
  21. Both Axies the Collector and Shardblade are Red Agents. You have one guess remaining. @Steeldancer @Rebecca @Darkness_ @Jondesu
