    i hate twitter

    so much

    just.......agh

    if you'll allow me to get ever so slightly political...

    there's this massive sentiment online that simply having Right-leaning ideologies makes you a bad person
    and i just hate it
    i hate it so much

    it's so binary too
    like, if you tend to vote republican, you must be an alt right, nazi-loving, racist

    and me, with my majority centrist opinions, feels very sad that people hate me so much

    like, i agree with both the left and the right about equaly,
    i just disagree with the right less than i disagree with the left. that's about it. 

    i've seen people attacked purely because they're a republican
    i'm like "ok...well, did they say anything controversial? did they offend or hurt anyone? anything illegal or actually morally wrong?" and people are saying "no, but their leaked documents show that they voted for trump!!! EVIL!!!!"

    it's gotten to the point where calling someone a republican is an insult in and of itself. The insults "trump-voter" and "nazi" carry equal weight.

    it makes me genuinely, deeply sad that social media has caused us to become so divided
    Like, i don't hate democrats. obviously. i don't hate anyone. i'm not out here trying to take away your rights or hurt you in any way. I just want lower taxes bro ;-;

    i feel like if you are an adult on this planet, you should've been able to figure out by now how to disagree with someone and still respect them as a person.

      I get it lol. Me and two of my friends were having debates over the us election a year back. It sucked. Honestly, I'm finding myself comfortable in neutral. Why can't we just agree on something. We should just try and make the world a better place, not seek to elevate ourselves into some presidential position or say our political party is the best.

      Anyhow, I hate politics.

      I love politics, cuz I like knowing what’s going on and I also like arguing, but so many aspects just make me so mad, or so sad, or so indignant. I very occasionally cry over the state of the country. It’s really upsetting how divided we are, and how unwilling to look at the other perspective. It’s also ridiculous the lengths people will go to just for a little power! I really, really wish we could get over this, but it takes everyone, and some people just… won’t.
