i think i've mentioned this before, but i think i'm allergic to chocolate

whenever i eat chocolate (any type or brand) the roof of my mouth starts hurting almost immediately. its not ridiculously painful and chocolate is delicious, so i usually ignore it. (it actually took me most of my life to realize that this isn't just, a normal part of eating chocolate.)

i ate a lot of chocolate today and the effects seem to be persisting slightly longer than usual (also seems to be a larger area, back of my mouth/top of throat is hurting too) so i decided to research

and i dont think its a chocolate allergy exactly
an actual chocolate allergy seems to be more extreme

this guy seems to have the exact same thing, but it's like the only example i've found that matches my experience

anyone else have this happen to them? any ideas on what it might be?
