    So I need ideas for a character I’m creating. He might end up being my overarching SE RP character, so I want to make a good character, but I barely have anything for him.

    Name: Dr. Aliker
    Backstory: Doctor in the Era 1 Scadrian town of Fallion Tears. Then something motivated him to start worldhopping. (cuz I need a reason for him to show up on other planets in other games.) 

    And that's basically it. I got the name ‘Aliker’ from a French name generator, since Era 1 is supposed to be all frenchy. But I have no idea about his personality or mannerisms or speech patterns or anything. I don't want him to be annoying, since I’d be RPing him a bunch, but then he does still have to have flaws and stuff. agajgskslakdjshsgds characters are hard.

    I just need help brainstorming. What would motivate a doctor from this tiny era 1 town to start traveling all over the cosmere?

      Yep. Not sure why I had him be a doctor, but he is. I think it’s just that the name Dr. Aliker sounds pretty solid.

      Well, I'm assuming from the time period that he is a lower class nobleman or a high ranking skaa. If the former, he might be a little more condescending toward those that are less fortunate. Of course, he also might have more resources that would explain discovery of worldhopping. If it's the latter, he is probably pretty smart. A lot of skaa have problems rising as high as a position like that. Or perhaps he is a skaa disguised as a nobleman. There are so many different paths you could take this.

      If he's a doctor, maybe a worldhopper (Maybe someone distinctly different, like a Singer/Parshendi?) came to him in need of assistance and he has been henceforth interested in alien life forms and how they differ from Scadrian humans.
