The first reminds me of that scene from the Doctor Who episode "Crash of the Byzantium":
Father Octavian: Dr. Song, I've lost good clerics today. You trust this man?
River: I absolutely trust him.
Father Octavian: He's not some kind of madman, then?
River: [pause] I absolutely trust him.
The second one struck me, because even though that is how it would be, from their intents you might assume the opposite.
The last one actually feels more like a Wayne quote, along the lines of his using on the fact that it would make more sense if the longer you lived the better you got at not dying as opposed to the reverse.
