  1. In your defence, due to a somewhat confusing etymology, DID and schizophrenia are often conflated in media, despite having little in common.
  2. Interesting. What was the interview for, if you don't mind me asking?
  3. I was about to make a joke about the improbability of a significant religious story containing frogs for him to have stored in order to make that work when I realized that I, and I believe you, tell one annually. Kosher high five.
  4. I imagine they were pre-ascension, but frogs are super-fragile, amphibious, and sometimes breathe through their skin. There is almost no way they survived the existence of the ashmounts.
  5. Wait, are there frogs in the Cosmere? I feel like there might not be on any of the main shardworlds we know of, except possibly Nalthis. Well, at least now I know what to ask if I ever get a chance at another WoB.
  6. For the second I believe you mean Ulim.
  7. Resisted the urge to avoid the obvious and just eliminated Purity, for being a real word. Which of these feels (for any reason, name, description, etc.) like it might be from a different IP, and what IP?
  8. As long as we all agree that the real Kelsier that ended badly was the Miles Hundredlives we met along the way. And that's the true meaning of Koloss Head Munching Day.
  9. Kelsier is a Kelsier that ended badly.
  10. Raya and the Last Dragon: Option 1 (weird Magic: the Gathering reference): Option 2: Option 3: Option 4:
  11. I still like Odiumium
  12. Also every superhero movie/work, but perhaps most specifically Suicide Squad.
  13. Fair and fair.
  14. Honestly, later revelations aside, those med schools are both impressive and great for society. I'm actually pretty sure that, as far as we know, they represent the only secular institutionalized higher education on the planet.
  15. Yeah, but unalloyed Lerasium gives you the same thing as all of the alloys combined.
  16. Spoilering response because, while not really containing RoW spoilers it goes into certain specifics about motivation and personality that are made clearer in RoW:
  17. I'd bet that a VERY wealthy gold misting could potentially be extraordinarily self-aware and conscious of their faults in a way that would make them a really good friend. Every time we've seen someone burn gold, the shadows have hated each other. What if someone worked very hard to make that not the case?
  18. Wow. You really transported me. I think it was the intonation that sold it.
  19. Why did that feel like an airline safety demo?
  20. Wouldn't aluminum-brain be better?
  21. Me as I approach this meme:
  22. The first reminds me of that scene from the Doctor Who episode "Crash of the Byzantium": Father Octavian: Dr. Song, I've lost good clerics today. You trust this man? River: I absolutely trust him. Father Octavian: He's not some kind of madman, then? River: [pause] I absolutely trust him. The second one struck me, because even though that is how it would be, from their intents you might assume the opposite. The last one actually feels more like a Wayne quote, along the lines of his using on the fact that it would make more sense if the longer you lived the better you got at not dying as opposed to the reverse.
  23. Yeah, I always took this as a given, though you might have a legitimate debate about early-generation Silverlighters on their parents' homeworlds.
  24. In his defense, he genuinely believes that that's the best way to eventually achieve more stability.
