I've been wondering about this as well. It would be really sneaky.
Might very well be something we can't accurately guess beforehand though.

Aren't the Aimians looking into the future in that blurb? Perhaps they thought Dalinar was going to fall. "There were those who could see farther than me who thought I had fallen."

Uh.
Yes.

It may end up being The Lost Metal if he doesn’t start it soon lol
He planned to do The Lost Metal in autumn so he hasn't broken his schedule yet.
He did push it back with the last State of the Sanderson though, but not since.

Pretty sure there's a WoB saying the Seventeenth Shard brought the common cold to Roshar.
There is. Which implicitly also means that it hasn't been brought there before, despite however long worldhopping has been going on.

I don't think you can align crystals and Shards like that. Otherwise it could've been a very interesting theory.

Actually that's an interesting thing. Is there a reason that the Taldain lichen isn't spread all over the place on Roshar. There should be plenty of free investiture in the HighStorms to feed it. I think this means it needs the Taldain sand as a substrate on which to grow. Or it requires a very dry environment.
How would it get there?

I'm actually unable to choose...

Wearing a single item of cultural garb does not mean that she shares in the culture. It means she at least at a point wore the mask her native people wore. Also the mask has grown into her skin. The mask may not be by choice. She is a worldhopper from Silverlight. If you are looking for her culture I'd look there. This is basically like saying African American's have the same culture as the parts of Africa their people were from because at one point they were from there.
Absence of evidence (us not having proof she is of Southern Scadrial culture) is not evidence of absence (her not having Southern Scadrial culture).
At worst we're at "we don't know, but her ancestors were Southern Scadrial".

I like the theory in a fun way, but I see Quote #2 as evidence against, because if Kelsier were running the Ghostbloods, Brandon would have treated it as a secret to keep, not a fun question to throw away a fun answer to.
I think you're underestimating Brandon. I don't doubt for a moment he'd be able to fake a throwaway RAFO for a question he'd expect to come at some point.

I had a theory that should have failed because of it but I was too confident that, if Brandon were asked the question, he'd have RAFO'd it.
Still sad.

I want at least the Stormlight front 5 to be free of Kelsier.
They probably will be even if this theory is true. Just because he's the leader doesn't mean he needs to be directly involved.
That being said, Stormlight will get progressively more impact from other worlds, simply because it's a theme for the series (with the migrating and everything) and because, in Brandon's words, it's "a turning point" in the greater story of the Cosmere. I do believe Brandon tries to at least keep it mostly in the back five, however.

A Scadrian being a member of the Ghostbloods is not evidence that Kelsier is connected to them. Iyatil isn't even from Scadrial. She also was a member of the 17th shard prior to becoming a Ghostblood.
Even by your connection logic the real connection would be her parents as at least one of them is from Scadrial and could have had a connection to Kelsier. While it is extremely unlikely that it has anything to do with Kelsier, Iyatil's parents were probably in the 17th shard as Iyatil is from Silverlight. So by your logic Kelsier is involved in the 17th shard and not The Ghostbloods. It may not be the strongest piece of evidence, but it sure as hell isn't an argument against the theory.

Please be advised that the High Prince of Information has noted that morale for the forces of House Sadeas is at an all time low and has made it a top priority to apprehend the prankster who is removing "e"s and adding "ses"s to the signage for High House Sadeas.
I need an explanation.

Is the discord public? I clearly don't have enough cosmere theories entering my eyeballs from this site alone.
If you go up to the main Forums page the link should be at the right, I believe.

I believe the similarity to Adonai is intentional, but it is also intentional that it's not the same.
Furthermore, Adonalsium is an anagram of "a mind, a soul", which would fit very well with the theory that Adonalsium did not have a Vessel - in that case, he would have existed fully in the Cognitive Realm (mind) and Spiritual Realm (soul).

Big problem: We see from Secret History that people can choose to move to the Beyond. If the Knights Radiant are aware Odium can torture them after death, then they should, realistically, be aware they can just choose to go Beyond.

I like your theory that they're Rosharans @ReadAndFindOut, but with the caveat I've never read Sixth of the Dusk.

I still think that Rayse killed Hoid’s loved one, though. It’s a very plausible explanation for the sudden hatred and vengeance.
I can certainly see that one. Don't think we can accurately guess things like that with the current information though. (not that it's gonna stop anyone here)

I think that they probably decided: "You know what? No one else wants Odium. Give it to Rayse."

Somehow I doubt that.

~ Rayse was possibly not supposed to be at the Shattering. (Source: Inferred from WoB)
Remember Hoid (or Frost?): "Rayse is what we made him be. And that is, unfortunately, what he wished to become." Clearly, giving him a Shard was intended.
1 hour ago, Ashspren said:Hoid was offered a Shard (which I think was Ingenuity, but we don’t have confirmation), but declined for some reason. His loved one was also offered a Shard. Rayse, however, was not.
So this (which I read after replying to that first part) doesn't hold up either.
1 hour ago, Ashspren said:~ Did the Vessels choose which Shard they wanted to take? If not, why did the kindhearted Ati receive Ruin?
Yes, as Hoid refused the Shard offered to him, and they knew what Rayse would become when given Odium. And Ati possibly got Ruin in the hopes of being able to contain him. Take into account that Brandon has said that he was one of the better Ruins there could have been. Presumably because Ati tried to reign the Shard in.

high spren
Pedantic moment here, highspren is the name of the spren that bond Skybreakers. If you're talking about honorspren, highspren, cryptics, etc together you should use Radiant spren to avoid confusion.

I know it was planned that's why when i learned it was planned the entire thing didn't seem as brilliant and impressive anymore. Well it's still brilliant and impressive(i still believe the culmination of era 1 is the greatest thing Sanderson made so far) but it's more disappointing that it was actually planned rather than just a retcon or last minute change.
I know about the necessity like if Kelsier wasn't revived Preservation would have no vessel and would be splintered(after leras death and before Vin's ascension) which wouldn't make sense . It also made some really annoying things too like undermining the other crews works because it seemed like Kelsier show than an overall effort to beat Ruin. It's never a good thing when one character actually takes away other characters shining moments or solitary relevance just look at how Rashek was handled posthumous that was a good example of a character not overshadowing people's accomplishments despite being an influencing figure of his own. There is a good thing though like that speech he gave to Vin at the moment of letting go Preservation(that was the same thing he first said to Vin when he taught her allomancy).
Just because it was planned doesn't mean it's always good. Either way that's just my personal opinion as a reader(not a beef thread so not gonna expand about this )
In the annotations, Brandon said "but Kelsier doesn't listen to me. He just does what he wants." It may sound weak, but as a fellow (amateur) writer, I can tell you that yes, such characters exist. In Kelsier's case, that means he will play a role in events and he will accomplish things you'd think impossible.

Pet theories about the nature of the Beyond (just for fun)
in Cosmere Discussion
Posted · Edited by Leyrann
I personally like to think that if you go to the Beyond, you go to a place where you get to have that which genuinely makes you happy. Call me sentimental if you want.
