  1. *is confused as to why Hoid hasn’t used Soulcasting to make more waffle thrones.*
  2. Well, time and space were broken, so he could be referring to future times, as well.
  3. Now, I’m not an expert on physics-I’m not even out of high school yet-but I wonder at what point curveball physics would start applying and curving the path of the object. also, excuse my bad drawing, but I think this might be more efficient: and it would work, because it is possible to Push and Pull from different points in your body, Vin does it when she Pushes the Vial of Atium from her belt to in front of her, then Pulls the bead into her mouth, and there are other examples, too, but I’m too busy trying to do this and statistics homework simultaneously.
  4. I think it was from a WoB, if that helps.
  5. Well, technically, there is still no energy transfer, but the forces don’t just disappear. The reason there is no energy transfer is that the force is not applied across a distance, therefore no work is being done. If there was an energy transfer when no work is being done, we could theoretically power everything with bricks sitting on a table. however, yes, you are still correct, the forces Involved would be far to large for this to be practical.
  6. Matrices are fun! Not really. I hate doing things with matrices, because of the way the coordinates of where things are in matrices, multiplying matrices is really weird, and I don’t know why the person who designed matrices designed them to be so weird. The class where I first learned about matrices, when we started the unit, the teacher said “matrices” and someone said “that sounds like a torture device.” We all laughed at the time, because we didn’t know that matrices actually were torture devices. Sorry, just a random rant raving at the madness that is matrices.
  7. Can anybody else find that one thread where they talk about being able to bond cognitive shadows like Spren? I’m trying to search for it on my phone, but I can’t find it. I think a quote from it is “guys, I think I bonded a Spren, but he’s kind of weird...he keeps telling me I’m in his crew now and he has a plan.” maybe.
  8. You guys, vin would be a windrunner. Why? Well, in chapter 54 of the Well of Ascension, (on page 692 in my edition) Vin has a defining character moment, and I will quote it for you: I think this is pretty self explanatory.
  9. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Brandon lives in Utah, where there are lots of mountains. I know that sounds dumb, but I also live in Utah, and mountains are just always kind of there, and I miss them whenever I leave. Also, 300th post!
  10. Yes, but they are still soft. You have to time it so exactly to get a soft waffle that isn’t undercooked. Otherwise the waffle are too crunchy.
  11. Pancakes can be fluffy if cooked right! I think. besides, it’s a lot easier to make good chocolate chip pancakes than it is to make chocolate chip waffles.
  12. But are there 10 varieties of waffles that they eat in some cultures somewhere?
  13. I’m trying to think of something random to say, but nothing is coming to mind.
  14. Something I noticed about every natural ”Shardpool” perpendicularity: (meaning every perpendicularity that was not placed or moved) They are ALL in the mountains. On Roshar: Cultivation’s perpendicularity is in the Horneater peaks. On Sel: the only Shardpool we see is up in the Aonic mountains. On First of the sun: Patji’s eye, at the very top of the Island. On Scadrial: During Alendi’s time, Both the Well of Ascension and Ruin’s Shardpool (the dark lake that someone tried to take a sample of, but was stabbed by the Mist Spirit.) During Era 1, the Well was placed intentionally placed in Luthadel. The Pits of Hathsin, I think might have also been intentionally placed, and they aren’t really a “Shardpool.” I also don’t have a very intimate knowledge of the geography around the Pits, so I don’t know if they are in a terrain that could be called “mountainous.” (All that to say I don’t know whether or not it counts.) During Era 2, the perpendicularity is the blue mountain spring that is mentioned in the Broadsheets. On Nalthis and Taldain, we haven’t seen the perpendicularity, but we also haven’t seen any long walks through the mountains... Anybody else notice this pattern, or have any idea as to why that is?
  15. When you have a shirt that says “I survived AP calculus” on the back, and you tell your friend who is also a sanderfan “I am the Survivor of Calculus.” And then he responds “whoa! I want to see those algebra scars running down your arms!”
  16. I had a similar experience where someone in the band had a sweater that said TUBA on the front, and I thought “I didn’t know TUBA had sweaters...” and then I saw someone else wearing one that said TRUMPET.
  17. DUN DUN DUUUUUUN!!!!!
  18. No to the first question or no to the second question? (Although, I suppose that since space is broken, too, it’s not reasonable to use placement on a page as first or second...)
  19. That brings up the question: if time and space are broken twice, is there a first and second time while they are broken? a better question: did that question even make sense?
  20. Again? When (or where, or whatever the correct word is when time and space are broken) was the first time?
  21. DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN!!!!!
  22. Wayne: I traded them for a rat’s tail. The longest tail I ever seen.
  23. I only sign in because my phone makes me redo it every day, and I don’t know why...
  24. Maybe I only think it wasn’t capitalized because when I sign in, I don’t capitalize it.
  25. I could have sworn it wasn’t capitalized before...
