  1. This was But, Butt however was completely normal
  2. Attention all Truthwatchers. From this point forward you have been banned from the Urithiru Poker Championship, as well as the Mafia Extravagansa: Urithiru Edition. We are sorry, but there have been far too many complaints, and games ruined. Thank you.
  3. I’ll work on some of the geography of Alleyverse (the world spike, alleyvillage, the bar etc.)
  4. The Shoggoth has died far too quickly. And for what? Killing a few defenders? He’d sacrificed part of his sanity summoning it, and it seemed it was all for not. The change in the overall battle was in himself. The voices were only getting worse, and he was starting to see things. Nothing solid, no, they were far too clever for that. It was just little glimpes, figures on the edges of his visions. Dark, grinning, figures. As the ghouls continued to explain to him what happend, Gaan practically growled with anger. Though his assistants were preparing for another summoning, it was taking far too long, and he wanted an immediate counterattack. The ghoul finished explaining the situation, and then departed with its squad, looking for intruders. Gaan turned around, preparing to help his assistants, when Voidus appeared in front of him. The figure, covered spikes, simply handed him a key, and gestured for Gaan to follow. They walked quickly, passing through various Alleys and passages, Voidus explaining nothing of what was happening, ignoring Gaan’s many questions. They finally got to a door, one that Gaan had never seen before. Voidus gestured for Gaan to insert the key into the door, and then opened it. As Gaan followed him into the room, Voidus closed the door behind them, and then gestured. They were on a balcony, overlooking something incredible. The Cages, where all of the DA’s many hemalurgic creations were kept (not actually in cages of course, luxury suites are much more effective). Voidus gestured towards a simple button, labeled, “Party and Cake!!!”. “You want me to press that?” Gaan asked. Once again, instead of speaking Voidus simply gestured at the button. Why didn’t he just press it himself? Well he was a god, and maybe they don’t concern themselves with such things. As Voidus‘s gestures grew more frantic, Gann happens to look backward. What he beheld shocked him. Instead of an open door, there was just a doorway, with nothing in it. Had he really gone that crazy? Gaan shrugged his head, and then pressed the button. All the doors to the cages unlocked. Voidus grinned and then disappeared. Gaan watched in horror as all the creations were released into the village. The button had just said,”Party and Cake!!!” Why did the cage doors open. He looked at the button again, but this time it read as something different, “Mass Release”. Gaan realized what happened. Voidus’s not speaking and sudden appearance and disappearance. The lack of a door, where one had once been. The changing of the name of the button. Gaan was far, far, far crazier than he thought he was. It seemed he could no longer trust the world as he saw it. He would have to make sure he had an assistant with him at all times, to prevent this from happening again. He once again looked out onto the empty suites in horror. What he had done was unforgivable. He would have to make up for it. He would make up for it.
  5. But don’t worry, at least one narrarator was on to combat the squirels.
  6. The Shoggoth felt an eye get stabbed out by one of the intruders. It let forth a stomach curdling laugh, before growing another in its place. The intruder who stabbed it, instead of running in fear, ducked below the tentacle it thrust at him, and slid underneath it, continuing to stab it. The Shoggoth raised itself up to fall and crush the tenacious intruder, but as it did so, it felt a strange little tickle. At the same time as the tickle, another intruder has run forward, and touched the it, seemingly trying to do something. The Shoggoth let forth another guttural laugh, before shoving an arm out from the point of contact, sending the figure into a nearby ditch. It finally crushed the intruder below it, and then used a new tentacle growth to kill the two sneaking up behind. As it went to finish off three more intruders, reaching out with long tentacles, below the Shoggoth, it felt movement. Was that man still alive. As it killed one of them, it created an arm to reach down, and pull up the intruder below it. When it observed the man, he appeared to be in perfect health. Hadn’t it crushed him? For the Shoggoth, the simple solution was always the best, so it threw the intruder into the side of a building, let forth a cry of,”Tekeli-li!” once again returned focus to killing the rest of the trespassers.
  7. Yeah, unfortunately, sometimes Brandon can be lazy like that. But I bet it will be removed eventually, about the same time other things we were promised are given. *cough*Nalthis Essay*cough*
  8. But spiking modifies the spirit web, which is the same whether your a cognitive shadow or not, and so it could have provided him benefits. I doubt that it’s a spike however simply for the reason of what attribute would they spike into Kelsier. He’s dead, and presumably to them going to the beyond anyway, so even if they spiked him with an attribute, it would just be waste.
  9. I’m sure he could, but I don’t see why he would. Their lack of large sales, and the ability to get them online for free or very cheap, makes it unlikely that they would get reprinted. He might do a 10 year anniversary edition of them though.
  10. Welcome to the shard, and upvote for the Calvin and Hobbes profile pic. What’s your favorite Cosmere book, or book in general? Also, did you know that if you out an @ in front of someone’s name it will notify them. Like @Snipexe
  11. What I’ve been more curious about is how it’s going to work for blends. Things that are 55% 45% polyester. Likely, the amount of breath required will just average out, but it could be interesting if you could do like partial cloth awakenings or something.
  12. This is really, really good. I wouldn’t mind a bit more world building, and some more explanations of the mechanics, but otherwise, this is really, really good. I like where it’s heading, and I definitely want to see more.
  13. “A suit!” Bob cried! “I haven’t made a mere suit in years! For I’m no ordinary tailor, no, no, I’m a specialist in one thing.” “And what’s that...?” RAdolin asked. “Bunny suits.” Bob responded. 1 hour later, RAdolin left in a pristine new suit, and left a very rich tailor in his wake. And a burning tailor shop.
  14. Mistborn: HoA spoilers
  15. Adolph looked Bob in the eyes. With a voice like the grave itself, he said, “I have come, for a new suit.” Just then thunder crashed, and rain poured down from the cold dark sky.
  16. The Shoggoth tasted the scent of pineapple in the air, and knew who their target was. It writhed through the streets, leaving destruction in its wake, hunting for the intruders. It followed the scent until came upon a city square, a kolossal dead in the middle, with a group of intruders in the midddle. The Shoggoth knew it’s duty. It was to kill the intruders. It let forth a long cry of “Tekeli-li!” from each of its mouths, calling any Ghouls within earshot to its location. It’s many eyes assessed targets, and searched the surrounding area for any other intruders. Seeing none, the Shoggoth began its attack.
  17. Gaan finished summoning the last of 20 ghouls. The beast appeared in a flash of red, and with a hint of sulfur in the air. He directed it towards the others of its kind, lined up against the wall. Those more expierienced in combat then him were already sorting them into groups of 4, and explaining to them where they would be attacking. Gaan ignored them. He wasn’t truly concerned with the battle outside, but he’d been given a chance to summon. A chance to make the voices in head and dreams to briefly go silent. Ghouls, while making good foot soldiers, were far too weak, so as the Ghouls were leaving, Gaan got down on his hands and knees, and began to carefully draw with a pencil and paper. Pentagrams were harder then they looked, and for as large as he was making, 10ft by 10ft, the measurements had to be perfect. It took him nearly 15 minutes of drawing to get it right, and another 10 to write the symbols. When he was done with the pencil, he split the skin of his finger, and using it, traced it all in blood. As he stood up, an aide handed him his copy of the Necronomicon. He flipped through its well worn pages, coming to the words he had bookmarked earlier. After doing some tongue exercises, after all, to stutter was to die, Gaan began the summoning process. “Tekeli-li! Tekeli-li! Oh throdog shoggoth Y' ymg' uln hup mgfm'latghnah shugnahh ph' fahf shuggog, ng ymg' tharanak l' fahf n'ghft shugnah! Tekeli-li! Tekeli-li!” Gaan repeated the words over and over again. He grinned as he felt it take hold of his body, the madness of the connection. All this, the symbols, the blood, the chanting, was all to get it’s attention. The chanting told it what Gaan needed, the blood a sacrifice for its power, and the pentagram itself gave the location. They only knew this though the Necronomicon, which it had directed Gaan to in his dreams. Tentacles writhed in Gaan’s mind, and horrible, terrible visions filled his head. Everytime he summoned something greater then a ghoul, the remaining sane parts of his mind were chipped at, little flakes of them flying like ash in the wind. Then it was over. It had gotten what was required from him, and a few seconds later a Shoggoth appeared on the pentagram. Gaan quickly yelled for everyone to leave the room. He carefully explained to the Shoggoth what it was to do, defend the DA, to allow no enemies to enter, and to kill all who stand in its way. The he sent it on its merry way, watching it writhe out the door. It was a relatively large one, 20 ft long and 10 ft wide. The great one had been kind today it seemed, for he’d often received ones that were barely 10 ft long. Gaan breathed out a sigh of relief, then went to get a chair and a cookie. He was exhausted, and it was going to be a long night.
  18. Gaan hadn’t expected a portal to the alleyplanet to show up in his cell, but one did. Thankfully it led to Alley 342, and not to outside the Alleys. Hearing a call to arms from great one Voidus, Gaan ran to his lab, and grabbed his solid aluminum skeleton. After switching bodies, grabbing his best hooded black cloak, one with a large cowl, a pencil, and a tape measure, Gaan reported for duty. He may have been new around Dark Alley, but he could serve them well nonetheless.
