  1. The CM group needs to be big for Collaborate and they view CM as a bigger threat than AM atm, but I will probably add another Epic or two for TT, my thoughts were that they mostly have vanillas on guard, Dodgeball can dodge all gunfire while taking them out, Flowerface can just cause massive irritation to everyone making it hard to fight, Growthspurt and Refill to actually kill them. EDIT: I'll add Synesthesia into the attack on TT.
  2. Come Nightfall the MEE is going to be attacking the three factions, so here's who'll be attacking where although this is just my rough plan, if anyone wants a change in it I'm open to suggestions. Collaborate and his team will be taking CM, as they would seem the most obvious threat, he'll have a team consisting of: Glint: Illusionist, can create small but detailed illusions. Illusions become semi transparent if a strong light source is directed at them. Spitfire: Can spit poisons over long distances, skin contact poisons can be used but aren't lethal, her only lethal poisons need to be injected directly into a person, she files her teeth to points so that she can bite people to insert these lethal poisons. Sidestep: Can step into an alternate dimension parallel to ours, although this dimension contains no air so he can only remain as long as he can hold his breath, cannot perceive the world while in his dimension. Uriel: Can create a sword of flame, immune to burns from his sword but not other flames, sword is hot enough to melt through most metals. And a squad of around 10 vanillas they recruited equipped with what weapons they could find. Stitch will be leading the attack against the Empire, he'll try to hold off the Epics while his team tries to crash the museum. He's with: Whittle: Can shape whatever he's touching, is limited to what he can cup in his hands. Yorrick: Can manipulate skulls, when he does so they produce a flaming aura around themselves. Scrapyard: Can transform parts of his body into various types of machinery. (Drills, saws, etc.) Cute Capricious Companion of Calamity (C4): Can secrete a gel which she can detonate with a whistle as long as she's within earshot of it. Refill will be attacking TT along with: Dodgeball and Growthspurt (If that's ok with Fatebreaker) Flowerface Synesthesia
  3. Temptress could join the MEE if you want Edge, all the other factions might be getting a bit full.
  4. Even Simon wouldn't dare mess with Big Al.
  5. Just wondering who to PM for story decisions about him.
  6. Who's writing for Big Al at the moment?
  7. Mrs. Voidus wants to have Stitch leave for the Dalles soon so that she can write him, I've been trying to think of a reason for him to leave so a Lightwards fight culminating in his defeat but not death would be ideal. Collaborate is unlikely to defect, he needs to appear trustworthy enough to be an ally or else his powers won't work properly, but if someone wants to take control of him and think of a plausible reason for him to join CM they're welcome.
  8. Probably not the dinosaurs, otherwise he would've raided every city for elephants by now But all of his human warriors, yeah, Toymaker would actually be a better help for him.
  9. Refill needs to touch the container a drink is in to refill it, that's not specific to blood. Although if people think it's too OP I can have him need to touch an open wound to do it. I'm working on updating the list I swears! Zips powers are really weird and I still struggle to think of a way to explain them, but I'm working on it, he can shrink a region of space, but he kind of stretches what's around it so that it still has the same edges, so doors still have wall on all sides even when shrunk, it's weird but that's the best way I can explain it. Collaborate gains the strength of whoever considers themselves on his team, he needs his teammates to be relatively close, within around 1km to gain their strength. (So with one team mate he's as strong as two Vanillas, with two team mates he's aas strong as three and so on, he definitely wants to join the MEE)
  10. A Simon Empathy meet up could definitely be fun, he's still in a good mood so if you want to write his post just have him skipping along the street whistling.
  11. Oh no, he discovered the twins' secret secondary powers! He must be... dealt with.
  12. Writing Simon's put me in a bad mindset, I think a few of my characters are going to take a darker turn, for Refill it's kindof justified, he's never used his power enough to be severely effected by Calamity, but the passed day has seen him use it frequently and now he's even killed people with it so he'd definitely be feeling the corruption now, but I do have some plans for his eventual death that I'll work out.
  13. MV glared at her sister before clambering into the truck, she glared at a few of the soldiers for good measure, particularly the one that was looking at her with a little too much interest as she accidentally bared too much skin as she climbed in. Impact shot her a glare back and directed a similar glare at the soldiers before climbing in more carefully. They both stopped once they saw the leader fingering his gun again as he watched their stares. "This is your fault, now we're stuck with this submissive attitude, and snivelly there is going to be even more worthless than he was before." She gestured towards Backtrack but felt a twinge of pity as she did so. He had no abilities with which to fight armed men, he'd shown bravery enough just to enter that museum, and he'd even stayed once he knew about that creepy guy. Well, at least until said creepy guy took a personal interest in him, but then no one could be blamed for running from that. Nevertheless when he followed them into the truck she joined her twin in giving him an identical sneering glance before ignoring him. Still if she was stuck with this she might as well have some fun with it, she touched the side of the truck as it started to move and focused on it with a continuous stream of her power, stealing all of its momentum and turning it into wind, the driver seemed perplexed as he struggled to get the car to move and she was forced to stop her game before anyone grew too suspicious. This was so not fun.
  14. Pleased for now and seeking no new victims Simon did skip down the street while whistling, nodding at the people he passed who stared at him in disbelief as destruction reigned about them. It occurred to him briefly that he still had no idea where he was, having forgotten to ask the family he'd spotted when he arrived. Ah now that was a fun one, he'd left the father cradling his wife in his arms as his children ran in fear from him, that scream had been absolutely delicious. He stepped into the path of a passing woman in drab clothes, she averted her eyes and tried to sidestep him, he blocked her again. "Excuse me" He said politely. "I was just wondering..." The woman took off at a run, not stopping to look back at him. "Stop!" He yelled at the fleeing woman, who if anything just tried to run faster. Simon giggled to himself. "Whoopsies. Simon says stop!" The woman froze, momentum carrying her forward until she pitched over, her face scraping along the gravel rode. "Simon says stand up!" He said as he approached. The woman jumped to her feet facing him, eyes darting about terrified. "Now that was hardly necessary don't you think? I just wanted to ask a question. Where is this place?" The woman stared back at him. "Oh you are a sharp one, you do know how to play!" Simon clapped his hands in mock amusement. "Simon says tell me where we are." "Calamityville" She blurted out "Please let me go!" "Let you go? Well that's not how the game works" He waggled an admonishing finger under her nose. "Hmm. let's see. Ah! Simon says follow me!" He declared marching back to the sidewalk, the woman following precisely in his footsteps, her rapid breathing fogging up in the chill air. "Simon says strike a pose" He said once they'd reached what he deemed an appropriate spot. The woman adopted a smiling expression, folding her hand before her and froze. Simon quickly ransacked the nearest house, mercifully he left the family relatively alone, leaving them with only some minor mental trauma. He returned to where he'd left the woman at a busy street corner with his new materials. He cut two holes into the piece of paper and threaded some string through it, then hung his sign around her neck. 'Information booth' it read. "Now, Simon says 'Answer'" he told the woman. "What is your name?" "I hate you!" She yelled at him, before her mouth snapped back into the disturbing smile, frozen again. Simon laughed. "I suppose I should have said answer honestly, but I think I actually like it better this way. Have fun 'I hate you', I hope you learn a valuable lesson from this." He walked away, leaving the woman there, condemned to be frozen, unable to move or speak unless asked a question. He had no interest in actually teaching lessons, he just enjoyed the look of fear in her face when the realization that he meant to leave her had set in. Well what look she could make until her expression snapped back. He thought, giggling to himself again as he skipped down the street. I wonder where the fun is in this town? It looks so dreary, I think they all need to relax, and I know just the game to play that will help them. His smile could have frozen the most violent of murderers and perhaps would have scared even Steelheart enough to flee the demented Epic and his latest creation.
  15. Well it's in character, I realized that even taking Penumbra into account his last post was a bit OOC for him. But yes, completely insane. Oh and just a quick out of thread explanation, Refill now carries a flask full of blood around with him, he can only increase things he views as a drink so that's the way he's discovered to use his powers offensively.
  16. I see what you did there
  17. I just realized that now that you're in the top 10 in Rep that discounting Brandon and Peter, we make up half of the top 10
  18. Purple Phoenix jumped in surprise at the interruption, a small explosion triggering near his face. What the? He watched the woman approach, taking in her tie dyed clothing and the ball of energy in one hand. Another Energy Epic? Well I know how to deal with those. He sat back and watched her confrontation with Nighthound, finding some amusement from the inherent irony of her throwing an explosion at them to try to break up a fight. He scowled at Nighthounds attitude though, even such hostility as this woman displayed didn't deserve Nighthound as a response. Can't he at least stick to creeping one girl at a time out? He was about to interrupt when the multi-colored woman moved suddenly, throwing two balls straight at Nighthound and then whirling, touching both her shirt and the wall which drained of color somehow. Responding purely by instinct Purple Phoenix stretched his shadow in front of Nighthound, flicking the two balls which detonated on contact. He whirled suddenly on the woman, his cloak billowing with the sudden movement. "What is wrong with you? Is everyone in this museum completely insane?" Purple Phoenix was by no means fond of the man he'd just helped, he didn't even know why he'd bothered from what he knew the balls would be unlikely to harm Nighthound for long anyway. But he was still trying to adjust to the urges left behind in Protectors wake, that personality had been based entirely around protective instincts, strong instincts and difficult to shake off. Refill left Zip in charge at their new HQ, they'd commandeered an old school gym to accomodate all the Epics who had rallied once word began to spread, rooms were being set up in the school buildings and the surrounding houses were slowly being disinhabited. He looked in distaste at the thing beside him. No longer recognizably human the corpse had been decaying for some time. Several bones were visible and one of its eyes was missing. It was made even worse by the mishmash of threads woven seemingly at random throughout the body, as far as Refill could tell they were all that was holding it together. The body was one example of the new application of minor abilities that he'd been less thrilled about, Zip had come up with the idea for Stitch's powers and the Epic had seized upon it immediately, heading straight for the nearest graveyard. He'd had another Epic melt a pointed metal spike onto the end of the thread he carried everywhere so he could make more if needed, though Refill had suggested repeatedly that he'd be better just using the spike as a weapon directly. Subtext and Flowerface both walked far to the rear, their powers tended to get away from them at times and neither were particularly pleasant to experience. Refill took out his recently filled flask and took a drink, grimacing at the taste, feeling and smell of the liquid within. An unfortunate necessity if he was to make full use of his powers.
  19. <Liked Backtrack before it was cool.
  20. PP gets worse resurrection problems. He ddevelops whole extra personalities.
  21. Simon's more interested in inflicting mental pain, empathy seems more of a physical sadist. I don't think Empathy needs to change. I liked his first post.
  22. Simon post up, be warned, he is one creepy and sadistic Epic, Nightmares may follow.
  23. Simon looked around, confused at the sudden change in his scenery. One minute he'd been walking down 17th Avenue, chuckling to himself as he played with his latest acquisitions and the next minute he'd been here. Wherever 'here' actually is. He thought to himself, taking in the near pitch dark scenery. A city of some kind but not like any he knew of, it could almost be Newcago except that there were no steel structures to accompany the ever present gloom. Well, a new city means new people. He grinned. New people means new toys. He set off down the street towards the nearest screams, people fleeing as their house rose into the air of its own volition. A powerful Epic to be able to do something like that without even being present, but Simon rarely mixed with those sorts, he was quite content to have his fun with the myriad lesser Epics and mortals, leaving the High Epics to squabble among themselves. He had to restrain himself from skipping towards his newest victims with glee, maintaining a stately walk instead and running his hands through his sandy blonde hair as he did when he grew excited. It was a family of four, they'd escaped just far enough to avoid whatever was uprooting their home, but close enough to watch in horror as their entire livelihood ascended slowly heavenward. The youngest, a girl of some six years old held a stuffed toy in one arm, the other hooked around her older brother. I do so love meeting families. A sadistic grin formed on his face as Simon stepped up to them, they'd not even registered his presence yet, which was hardly surprising, he made sure to dress like most of the regulars he knew and his appearance was the very definition of nondescript, he liked it that way. "Simon says freeze" He said, his voice low, pitched only for their ears as dozens of others ran screaming around them. The father, a middle aged man just starting to lose some of his hair narrowed his eyes for just a second, then attempted to turn his head to look at Simon only to find it frozen in place. Thankfully his intent filtered through his words, the family kept breathing and blinking, he'd even left their eyes alone so they could scan the scene in horror. "Now, who'd like to play a game?" He said, moving to the front of them all, his grin stretching wider still across his face. He looked at the young boy. "Release" he said simply, causing the boy to collapse. His movement returned, the lad quickly stood up and prepared to flee, grabbing at his parents arms to take them with him. "Choke" His airways closed, his hands jumped immediately to his neck, reflexively trying to remove the blockage. His face began turning blue, he fell to his knees when finally Simon released his lungs and froze him once more. The boy gasped in air, sucking it through his raw throat, now frozen on all fours. "Now that you've had a taste of what I can do, let's move on to the real fun." This was Simon's favorite part, after he'd received his powers he'd been happy at first, he could make anyone do whatever he wanted, could take what he wanted from anyone at any time, but soon he'd begun to lose interest, with no challenge in his life he'd grown bored. That was when he'd remembered that first day with his own family, and he'd decided to play a game. He drew a knife from a pocket, handing it to the middle aged man. "Take it" The man's hand jumped in it's alacrity to obey, seizing upon the knife instantly. A look of horror spread across the mans face. "Now you know that I can make you do anything with that, sever your finger, slit your children's throats if I so desire, but I'm not going to make you do anything. I give you a choice." The mans gaze grew confused. "Simon says, move!" The man handled the sudden regaining of his body better than his son, regaining his footing, his eyes darting about wildly. "Now you could try and stab me, but you know that I'd freeze you with a word and then your punishment would be even worse, as your son demonstrated you know that running is pointless." Simon said, his glee showing in his every word. This was what he loved so much, controlling people with his power was easy, just a thought and a word. Controlling people without using his power was much more fun, he'd frozen this man just as surely as he had a moment ago. "Why are you doing this?" The man asked, they always did. Simon's smile grew darker and he leaned in to the man, he'd already been broken, he had nothing to fear. "Because I was bored" He whispered. With a sigh the man nodded, doubtless he'd grown used to such things from other Epics. But there were no other Epics like Simon. He stepped back again, making sure the entire family could see and hear him. "Simon says, Line up" he said, snapping to attention himself, a mockery of a general commanding his troops. The other three members of the family stood and arranged themselves in a line, facing the trusted leader of their beloved family unit. Simon nearly laughed. They had no idea what was about to happen. "Now, you get to choose." He whispered in the middle aged man's ear, stepping up behind him. "Will you stab your wife right now of your own accord? Or will you slit both of your children's throats while she watches and then strangle each other?" Simon loved this look, he remembered each time he'd posed a choice like this, beginning with his own brother, he remembered dozens of faces, all contorted in the agony of such a horrific choice. It didn't matter what he chose, this man had already condemned himself, he would hate himself for the rest of his life. However long that might be.
  24. Are we doing character intro's outside of Calamityville then having them pulled there, or just starting off confused and just arrived in town?
  25. Don't forget to add them to our Epics of Oregon idea Doc. My internet connection is going to be a little patchy for the next couple of days, I should still be able to post but not too frequently.
