  1. 'While no one knows exactly how or why Oregon was destroyed as no records remain from that time, we do have a remarkably well preserved set of Topiaries. Our historians believe these were set up by ancient Oregonians as idols to their gods to protect them from whatever apocalyptic event levelled the state.' -What happened in Oregon Page 1000
  2. I might need to introduce another Epic to distract them both and prevent them from becoming perpetually frozen.
  3. They're 19, isn't 21 the legal age in the US? I'm in Aus, so this may just be a cultural thing in which case just pass it off as a prank on their part
  4. Any of her illusions of controlling the situation shattered when a troop of soldiers burst into the room, guns aimed at them. They directed a look towards the creepy guy who held up a hand to stop them. "Hold on a minute. It's a shame, that was a nice goblet. Expensive, too. It would be...unfortunate if I had to have all these nice soldiers take you in. We wouldn't want them digging into your personal record, now would we? How many alcoholic drinks have you stolen, again?" MV grew outraged in an instant. We only stole when they chucked us out, and how does he even know all this? I wasn't even thinking about it... She was still holding Impacts hand, in an instant they could blast the guns out of the mens hands, but how many soldiers did they have here? How many snipers, hidden out of sight? The level of paranoia about new Epics in town seemed incredibly high. Perhaps justifiably given what had happened to Backtrack when he'd looked into the past. But it certainly made things difficult. She smiled sweetly at mr. Termination who led the squad. "Ah, sorry I just remembered it's been a whole two minutes since you suggested terminating someone, thought we'd give you an opening." She directed her gaze back to the man opposite them. "As for your request Mr. Creepy, you should know better than to offer underage girls wine shouldn't you?" She released Impacts hand, they'd handle this with words for the time being. If things grew dangerous she was pretty sure their powers would protect them from bullets. They'd tested Impacts on a knife once and it had bent under the stress but it had also caused all of her clothes to fly off her, she had to either know exactly where the knife was going to hit or else spread her power over her entire body. The embarrassment of the incident had prevented either of them from testing the theory out again. She looked back to mr. Termination. "I don't suppose you could fetch us a couple of sodas?" He glared at her. "Thought not."
  5. Hmmm...that could be problematic, his first response would be to freeze Empathy, and if that froze him too then they'd be stuck like that forever. :/
  6. Hey Mailiw what exactly are the limits on Empathy's powers? Like what gets shared?
  7. Sounds like a plan to me.
  8. The Empire's a bit harder to keep track of since they're in the MONA, so no they probably wouldn't attack the Empire at the same time as TT unless they knew it was more or less empty. (Also that would rob me of the fun of a Stitch /Lightwards fight/ship )
  9. CM can't negate passive powers or he'd be way too OP EDIT: Lol, double ninja'd
  10. "And Megan." How the sparks does he know my name? Ugh. Damned Telepaths. " Do you think that these soldiers standing at the door would just let you, quote, 'riddle my body with sharp pointy things'? " What would they do about it? Leer at us til we stop? "And you wouldn't want your blood getting all over Steven's pretty pink sunglasses, would you? No." He said, with a significant glance. Pretty? She glanced at Backtrack. Well they are kind of cute I suppose, it's almost enough to make me like him. Almost. He poured her a glass of wine, like she was dumb enough to drink it. "Sit down, relax, have some wine. Let's have a chat." He said, creepy smile still plastered on his face. She pushed the glass to the side before fixing him with her sternest glare, unfortunately she knew she didn't really have the face for glaring, it just made her look slightly indignant and cute according to Impact. "Fine, let's chat." She took Impacts hand under the table, luckily her sister new the routine in cases like this, with Impact providing the needed momentum to her hands MV shifted it into the glass which flew to the wall and shattered, spilling the meager dribbles of wine the Epic had consented to share. "But no drinks. Oh and 'Steven' the guy makes a good point. Keep the glasses." She directed her glare at him. Or else. She settled back, content that she'd maintained a grip over the situation. She would not let another 'incident' like Nighthound happen again. She would keep control. Or else. Her mind echoed.
  11. Well he didn't specify to answer honestly but I would probably agree with you anyway, that's how I first thought it worked so I guess I'll stick with that.
  12. That's kind of cool, I suppose it depends how his powers work, if they affect the mind or just the body, which I haven't made a decision on yet, they're both kind of powerful in their own way, if it effects the body directly he'd be able to affect them but then trying to get NH to kill himself would require knowing exactly how he'd need to act to do that. If he controls minds then NH would know what to do and carry it out, but the crows would be out of his control. I think I'll put it to a vote. Opinions everyone?
  13. Because he (Simon) can control animals too, not sure how it'd stack up against another Epic controlling them so we might need to discuss that if they do ever get in a fight.
  14. I was about to ask about that, are the birds alive still?
  15. Yeah he'd be in a standoff against them all really, they all have prime invincibilities, he can freeze them all, although SH could probably still kill him even then :/
  16. They'd need to know what his powers were, guess the limitations of those powers and be able to complete those actions before he uses his abilities, he's managed to survive several fights against enemy Epics, a favourite tactic is to use someone as a proxy holding a walkie talkie. Or just swamp them with Vanillas and sneak in in the chaos and tell them to kill themselves.
  17. MV probably wouldn't even realize that was an attempt at mocking her to be honest
  18. Soulswitch had been surprised to see Penumbra in the museum, even more surprised not to find the shadow Epic trying to remove heads from bodies or make shadows strangle their owners. But for now those two look like they're having a more interesting conversation. He had no idea who the magician guy was but him taking an interest in Traveler was definitely of note. He was just about to creep closer when a tendril of darkness wrapped around his leg. damnation, this is why I don't use the same animal twice. He was pulled to the ground and dragged over to where Penumbra stood, talking to the woman he'd noted earlier throwing explosives around. Well at least I'm still alive, I suppose that means his personality has changed again. Wonder who it'll be this time. Purple Phoenix looked down at the shaking raccoon, barely even registering the woman's question. He waved a hand absentmindedly at her. "Oh just a fail safe, can't have it getting taken over by enemy forces or anything like that." Phoenix scowled at Soulswitch. "What are you doing here? I thought you were spying on Corpsemaker." Having Soulswitch here complicated things, he couldn't spare the time to keep an eye on the body-switching Epic. Soulswitch somehow managed to grovel while in the shape of a raccoon. "All fine and done my lord." He said in what he supposed was supposed to be a Canadian accent. "I've learned much of what he's been up to, and made contact with another Epic who you may be interested in, he may help supply you with animal soldiers for your empire." Well, there goes any chance I had of pretending Penumbra never happened. He scowled harder at Soulswitch.
  19. You can set it up, Simon'll just be skipping along whistling to himself.
  20. SH meeting Simon? Well that would certainly further our goal of preventing all sleep in the forums.
  21. Anyone want their character to meet up with Simon? I recommend bringing ear plugs.
  22. I'd think all of Parity's explosions would have caught his attention for a bit
  23. Hmmm... increased odds of creeping Backtrack out, making Lightwards look even worse, the only way this could appeal more to MV right now is if somehow... and then Nighthound died
  24. Speaking of shipping I fully expect a Stitchwards ship after the MEE attack the museum, two men sharing in their love of making dead things attack people.
  25. MV and Backtrack could actually work, if he toned down the lechery a bit. (She may or may not secretly think his glasses are awesome )
