Well if you say that then Marsh can't have Atium since it's part of Ruin, so he ages into a skeleton instantly Not as far as I noticed, it seems like they were using some other form of Investiture to power their Elantrianism.
-
Well Dilaf would have to be on Sel for his to work, and Raoden would have to be in a very specific part of Sel for his.
-
Well yeah but then they still end up killing themselves if they exploit a PI weakness, and to know the others weakness they'd have to have the same weakness so to use it they'd have to face it I wouldn't exactly call it crippling, Prof didn't seem to be that hindered by it. And after a while they could just get some painkillers. Another alternative, being in the unique position of being conjoined twins they might actually be strictly counted as one person and so not get the pain thing at all.

I don't know that anyone other than Vin or possibly Raoden would have a good shot at successfully using Nightblood. The Honorblade is an interesting one though.
-
Maybe but then that just becomes an exercise in futility since they can't actually kill each other, so there'd still be a reason for them to still be alive.

I really don't think it'd take that much, a tiny trickle was enough for her to pull on something not only embedded in flesh but also Invested enough to hold 1000 years of age.

1) Depends where and when the fight is, and if we're assuming that people have access to the resources they need (ie. Raoden is near Elantris, Dilaf is on Sel, Vasher has Breaths, Marsh has enough Atium to not instantly age into dust) then I'd say there should be some. 2) Technically it's a separate process, it's just that she burned enough of it that she could pick up the Shard, burning the mists doesn't cause you to ascend any more than burning Lerasium does, it's just because of the amount she used.

Gleeman, he hasn't even logged in this year though so I think it's safe to say he probably won't pick up Mannequin again.

Well again, Vin at her peak is capable of leveling buildings since she can use the Mists. Or just yanking the linchpin spike right out of Marsh.
-
Probably not, depends how exactly the power worked (Friction is made up of a few different factors) and over what area, etc.

A war between Scadrial (era 2) and Roshar
Voidus replied to Bowiespoon's topic in Cosmere Discussion
There's a few people who could do it pretty much single-handedly tbh. TLR, Marsh or the Survivor probably could kill the entire Rosharan army without much trouble. Melaan could give the bands to anyone on the planet and get them to take care of it. Or any of the Kandra could just eat a Highprince or the king and send them all to war with themselves til they destroy each other. -
Having something like CIPA and being conjoined twins are both insanely rare, having both is pretty highly unlikely. I was going to suggest though that if their spinal cords are connected then it's possible for them to share a nervous system, so when either of them uses the power they both feel pain so they just think it's a side-effect of their powers. Alternatively they might be conjoined in such a way that it is almost impossible to kill one without killing the other, separating conjoined twins is pretty difficult without killing one or both.

You can't store, but it might be like allomancy where you can tap to keep yourself alive even when unconscious. As for the OP he did have a spike and Ruin did whisper to him a lot but I think it's still largely his personality that caused things to happen as they did. Koloss, Kandra and Inquisitors were all made and discovered when he was using the Well, before he was spiked, so the hints of it at least are certainly there.

It's direct from Brandon, it only impacts the healing for as long as it's in the actual wound though, the wounds themselves aren't any harder to heal.

Yeah as mentioned, you get a bit of bullet-time from zinc, although that's mostly steels thing, but it also helps make intuitive leaps.

A war between Scadrial (era 2) and Roshar
Voidus replied to Bowiespoon's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Oh that I agree with, arguing on their lack of motivation as a potential affect on the war, you just can't use it to say 'so they wouldn't go to war' -
A war between Scadrial (era 2) and Roshar
Voidus replied to Bowiespoon's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Well there's the fact that the willingness of a country to go to war doesn't mean all entities in that country do too, unless you want Harmony to join in along with MeLaan and the Bands of Mourning. Other than that? The fact that he can't. He can hurry it along but it still follows the same path as always. -
Random post that is basically just a summary of the Harry Potter series. I probably should have just said 'she told them about it' but ah well.

He probably can, but again it begs the question of at what point are we taking the character? At her peak Vin was a Shard, if we're only counting when she had a physical body then she was using the Mists to crush entire building, pretty sure she easily wins if she's at that level.

A war between Scadrial (era 2) and Roshar
Voidus replied to Bowiespoon's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think taking motivations into it are probably skirting around the point a bit, yes Scadrial doesn't really have any reason to go to war with Roshar, although as mentioned Roshar is a pretty war-like planet and the first scouts they send would be attacked, that alone might justify it. But aside from that the whole point is that this is a hypothetical scenario, what if they went to war, you can't really answer that with 'they wouldn't' -
"Come on, Lockhart, skip to the cool part. The part where Potter literally rose from the dead to beat You-Know-Who for good." Still no appreciation for the full story, but I suppose that is the actual important part. Best to practice keeping things concise, someday I'll need to fit all this into a strict lesson plan after all. "Yes I suppose, so Harry Potter, also known as the Boy who Lived, the only person to ever survive the killing curse, but he was a baby when it happened the first time. Then he goes to Hogwarts, gets sorted into Gryffindor of course where he becomes friends with two others, Ron Weasley, the Auror, and Hermione Granger, the head of Magical law enforcement, though obviously at the time they were both just students. Anyway during their Hogwarts life they saved the philosophers stone, key to Immortality from Voldemort, then destroyed the basilisk that was in the chamber of Secrets, Harry won the triwizard tournament and escaped from Voldemort who was resurrected by then, he practically taught Defence against the Dark Arts for a year while he was still a student and then of course he went on the run when Voldemort took over the ministry." She paused for breath for a moment, reaching the part of the story now that Shannon had actually asked for but you couldn't just jump into it like that, you had to give some backstory right? For context. "So he's on the run, Dark Wizards and Death eaters all over the country trying to find him, he hides out with his two friends and then they break right into the Ministry of Magic, assault one of Voldemorts followers and steal this magic item from her then get out again completely untouched. Later in the year they managed to infiltrate Gringotts and break into a high-security vault, which has only happened once before in history as far as I know, they ride out of the bank on a dragon, break through the roof and fly off again." The stares of both the carriages other occupants were significantly more interested now, Serena didn't see why riding a dragon was more interesting than signing the goblin peace treaties or ratifying the protections of Werewolves but she was thrilled to have an eager audience for once. "So they lose the dragon, some people say they killed it with the sword of Gryffindor but I think that's just a legend. Anyway, then they break into Hogwarts, even though there's dementors, and dark wizards at every entrance, they fight them all off and free the school. But then Voldemort comes, and he has this entire army with him and all he wants is to kill Harry Potter." She paused for dramatic effect. "So then of course, battle of Hogwarts, one of the most famous events in recent history, there were suits of armour fighting giants, students taking on Dementors and teachers fighting the Death Eaters. Harry goes out into the woods and faces Voldemort alone, doesn't pull out his wand or anything, just stands there staring at them. Voldemort points his wand and fires off a killing curse and there's this flash of light and they both go down, Voldemort gets up again and Harry stays down, dead." "So now everyone stops fighting and everyone thinks it's all over, they're shocked, Harry's dead body is in front of them all. Then the quietest kid in school, Neville Longbottom grabs the sword of Gryffindor, runs straight at Voldemort and cuts his snake up right in front of him!" This was one of Serena's favourite parts, the quiet underachiever that others didn't notice, taking on the most powerful wizard in the world and saving them all. "Then Harry just jumps up again! Like he was pretending the whole time or something, everyone starts dueling again, there's flashes and explosions everywhere, the fighting moves into the Great Hall and these House Elves start coming out, stabbing at all the Death Eaters, and suddenly Hogwarts is winning, the only one left is Voldemort, he's facing off against Harry. Then they both fire their spells, Harry deflects the killing curse right back at Voldemort and kills him." She was somewhat out of breath by the end of her speech, realizing that it had gone on for several minutes even though she'd tried to keep it brief she blushed slightly. "So yeah, that's what happened." She finished somewhat anticlimactically.

Yeah I share some of Edge's concerns, could you perhaps repost a profile for them so we can see how it'd look with the new alterations? Salem: Yeah I think it'll need to be the next gameday, although I think all that's really needed is for the Vandal scene to happen then we can probably skip.

Granted. You can turn it on and off and change how bright it is, but the first time you turn it on it has the brightness of a thousand suns, destroying your retina and those of everyone in the same hemisphere as you. I wish that Stormlight 3 gets released tomorrow. (Go ahead, ruin that wish, I dare you. )

I don't mind, Scribbler would be confused, then embarassed and awkward some more, then begin to ask Doctor Game something along the lines of 'What the hell?' Full disclosure: It was mostly because I had not at the time thought of a character to feature (I have done so now, I'm just waiting for some replies from GMs of non-Reckoners RPs before I finish)
