    Revelation of Illumination

The stars fracture into thousands of sparkling fragments and so much dust that fills the cosmos with the most sublime light. Deities locked in battles that send tremors throughout the heights hack and slash in frenzied jealousy. Their hands reach out to subsume this illumination for themselves. Worlds crumble as powers clash with unquenchable violence that spills golden ichor across the canvas formed from the flesh of the primordial ruler of the higher realms. Cacophony shreds those walls meant to hold reality still. Spears skewer legions even while oceans of arrows seek blood to spill. Temples and sanctuaries are no refuge from the carnage whose ferocity is only growing. Waves sweep all into a hellish nightmare that has exposed the innocent to horrors that will not end. All is being consumed with a gluttony that burns fear even into the spirits of war whose own hunger relishes morsels as they now have available to them. Crowns fall and are upraised again to continue the fight.

From the most hidden place comes something mightier than the screams of agony and bellows of challenge that are carved into the brutalized and whimpering form of the mortal plane. First, a single note pierces the din silencing everything for an eternity bound in the costume of an instant. Then more music spins and twists weaving something indescribable that smothers all of the nightmarish sounds that stand armed for conflict. Behind them a figure wielding nothing, but the sound of her voice emerges into the field so drenched in death. Refrain after refrain encircles armies sending them to where they can harm no more. Gods and goddesses are stripped of all authority and cast away into an abyss carved from their callous destruction. That desired radiance flies forth returning all that was lost. Awesome serenity falls when the final strain of the song ends. Hers is the throne in the midst of light renewed and a tune mysterious and ever present in the mists of all worlds.

  9. In some ways that is the saddest part. Their crusade sought something that could be argued to be noble. However, they would destroy the identity of their people to force them to accept these noble ideals.
  10. It's also interesting that part of the promise of emancipation was the quick tearing down of the walls both physical and metaphorical. The tradition was at stake during this period not because of enlightened ideas per se but more because of the extremes that some wished to go to in order to spread these ideas.
  11. Here is one that is derived from a stalled project of mine. I'm curious what you do with it. A king consumed by his own narcissism leads his kingdom to destruction. He survives but must battle his horrific supernatural birthright, which may have poisoned his mind to become a better man and a legend.
  12. Be passionate. What would you do if you found the trojan horse in your pocket?
  13. Something lighter is in order I think. You and your significant other are looking out over a boisterous scene filled with singing and dancing as you celebrate ancient bonds and new ones.
  14. Make cookies. What would you do if you found an angel blade in your pocket?
  15. The noise flows about as a river surrounding us. I manipulate it ever so slightly so that the bubble of sound conceals us in it's midst.
  16. Warmth surrounds my companions as I will the chill of the waters to fade away. It melts away from them as for a moment I close my eyes and listen for any sound from the depths.
  17. I didn't say that either. Love is in some ways comparable to a form of madness. It does not make the dumb better or worse. How it is channeled is always up to the "afflicted". It can enflame certain emotions etc... Boys might sometimes lean that way, but to say it is most likely to happen might be a bit extreme. Seems more like a philosophical discourse to me.
  18. I don't know that it's specifically either. It can be channeled toward either end of the spectrum.
  19. Granted that's true. I'd certainly not advise nor attempt truly foolish things just because. However, love has a way of affecting people.
  20. Ah, but you see there is the interesting thing about love if in fact, the things that you do for love is repulsive to them then it can show you what the standing of that love truly is.
  21. We can be most dense at times. Though Corvus might it not be said if not for love we would never do things quite so dumb?
  22. 16 going on 17
