High, my name is Kaj. My English is terrible (Not really). I have been told to have a hemalurgic cookie and would like to know if it will steal from me or grant me something. KF

Here is part of the next chapter. I think it's starting to make some sense.
-
Does a disclaimer work as a first paragraph?
-
I have something very similar to this but it contains eighteen different elements. (Plus I am actually writing it.)
-
Why would it have to be aluminum? Nightblood wasn't aluminum and it had a personality. If it were aluminum it would just take qualities from the Identity stored right? Edit: Nevermind, I just realized what you meant. You meant that because it was an aluminum metalmind, it would be more human-like. Nightblood wasn't very human-like and didn't really have the capacity to change his thinking process.

I am designing an Awakened metalmind based on feruchemy and awakening. What I have so far: What is it? A metal object worn on the body (ex: a ring, earring, bracelet, necklace, crown, etc.) So far we have: An earing: Metal: TBD (Possibly Aluminum Use: *A personal assistant similar to Jarvis from Iron Man. What is it's purpose? (To be determined based on what type of metal is used) Is it sentient? Yes. The rest? (To be determined based on what type of metal is used) Key: TBD: To be determined. * = More information needed/elaborated.

I think, having a general understanding of the Cosmere, if you are aware of the object I think you can still affect it. For a metalmind, you have to know it is a metalmind in order to use it. If it is an unsealed one, (I can't find the WoB on this right now) they have to be aware of how it works.

That is definitely true. So if there were a city of skyscrapers with skybridges connecting them, they would be golden, right? I love the cage match idea. I think we should ask Brandon on this one. To me, I always thought if you tried hard enough, you could sense nearby sources of metal and their location relative to you. There is no evidence for this and you're probably right, but it might be a cool savant ability. Back to the savant reference. It's a possibility. Otherwise, you're right it would be a ton of extra effort, but if you didn't really have a choice of what misting you were would you put in the effort? I would.

Kal felt the familiar warmth as he burned iron. Allomantic blue lines sprang from his chest. He sprang off of the top of the building. Selecting one of the more pronounced lines that pointed up and out in front of him, he Pulled. Swooping like a pendulum, Kal felt the freedom of the mists, the tassels of his mistcloak fluttering behind him. It wasn't as graceful as a coinshot, but being a lurcher, as everyone labeled him, did have its advantages. He landed in a run, footsteps echoing in the silent streets. The lamppost ahead will work. He thought. He Pulled firmly on the lamppost as the same time he dumped nearly all of his weight into his bracers. He was flung into the air. He maintained just enough weight that he wasn’t a cloth in the wind, but little enough to travel much farther than his Pull would have carried him normally. He continued tugging on higher and higher objects, effectively climbing, air whistling past. As he came to the tallest building, he used several different anchors in order to not crash into the side of the building. Nearing the top, he adjusted his weight again, his body creating an arc over the side and onto the roof. The mist tugged playfully at his legs. This mist was different from the normal grey mist that usually came, this one had a purple hue to it. This one seemed to be alive, swirling and twisting in the air. A faint blue ’s metalminds as well as his own. That meant the person who had thrown the coin was Vin. allomantic line suddenly appeared behind him. Kal spun, tassels whirling, and pulled on the coin before jumping out of the way. It resisted the pull at first, taking much more effort than should have been needed. The coin shot out over the side the the building. Kal pulled it back, now under his control, into his hand. He experimentally tapped the metalmind already suspecting that it was Corin’s. It was. The sensation of Corin’s full weight hit him for a mere second, the roof creaking with the change in weight. For some reason he was able to tap Corin “You’re late.” Her voice confirmed, landing softly next to him. Kal filled the coin completely, pulling against the metal plate inlaid into the roof as to not blow away, and tossed it back to her. “And Corin?” “You know he can’t join this one. He has to be ready for the Teris Exams tomorrow. He has to store everything in order hide our secret.” From what Corin had learned, none of them should exist. They were a rarity. Twinborns always were. Corin was a Slider and a Skimmer. Vin was a Coinshot and a Skimmer. And Kal was special. He was an Iron Compounder. Special didn’t mean useful. That wasn’t the concerning part though. The fact that they could all share a metalmind was a bit concerning. Unless it was unkeyed, that wasn’t supposed to be possible. Yet, they could. It was like there was a weak barrier between their metalminds. If felt like reaching out and grasping something just within reach, at least at first. The more they all shared a specific metalmind, transferring weight between them, the less that barrier resisted them. Corin’s coin, not this one but the one that the beggar had given him, they had shared for years. In that one the barrier was merely just to identify who’s was who’s. But the other aspects of that coin made it especially personal to Corin. “You’re thinking about that beggar again aren’t you?” Vin asked. Kal shrugged. “Specifically the coin he gave Corin.” “I was thinking about the task he gave us.” She said. “The ball?” “Yeah.” The ball. They were supposed to locate several sealed metalminds made of an unfamiliar metal and melt them down into a sphere. In exchange, he would make them something worthwhile. In the meantime, he had asked that they exchange their weight constantly. Kal breathed in. The moisture of the mist tasted good. It also helped him feel grounded when he got too lost in thought. A thought crossed his mind. How had the beggar know that we could do that? He breathed again, dismissing the thought. “To be honest, I think I am the most useless compounder out there.” Kal said. “And why is that?” Vis asked. “I think you have a great compounding effect.” (To be continued.) “I have a nearly infinite storage of weight. How is that supposed to be helpful? I mean adjusting my weight while pulling can be helpful, but I don’t need to compound to have enough weight stored.” “You can never have enough weight to throw around.” She replied, smiling. “When would I ever need to more than triple my weight for a time?” “I’m sure there might be an occasion.” The clock tower nearby struck midnight. “Time to go.” Kal and Vin said in unison. They leaped off the building, filling their metalminds in order to fall slowly. Kal stopped filling his metalmind and Pulled. Vin launched back upward over the bridge that Kal swooped under. Crossing arcs, Kal wrapped his arms around her torso and dumped all of his weight into his bracers. Compensating for the change, Vin launched forward and up again, pushing off of the skybridge and something obscured in the mists below. Finally landing a couple streets down from the O'Donnell Manor. The pair quietly stole over the manor wall. In the yard, they crept to one of the rear doors that lead into the sitting room. There, on the mantle, was the last metalmind. It was inlaid into an intricate wood carving as the centerpiece. The centerpiece had a diameter of about four feet. “How in Preservation’s name are we supposed to get that out of here?” Vin whispered. “We could carry it out,” Kal replied. “Without being seen?” she asked incredulously. “It kind of looks like a bracer what if we swapped it?” Vin, trying to be careful, strapped on a weighted belt and set three coins in a tripod around her on the ground and pushed herself into the air. Kal, anticipating what’s going to happen maneuvers behind her. Vin slowly pulled on the mounts holding the decorative piece. Kal pulled on her belt in order to keep her from pulling herself into the wall above the mantle. The piece jolted loose. Having lost their balance, Vin fell into Kal and the piece dropped to the ground with a loud thud. “So much for that,” Vin said. Scooping up the piece, they scramble out of the manor and run out the front gate. As Kal glanced behind he saw candles lit and light in the house. Launching into the air, Vin took the piece and disappeared. Kal split the other way to tail just in case there were Allomancers on their tail. Once safely out of Elendel, Vin headed into the woods. Skirting the road, she extinguished her metals to walk the rest of the way. She noticed the mists had started to disperse. That’s not good. She thought. It will be harder to cover our tracks. Several minutes passed before she came to the edge of the woods. Making her way through the woods, she came to the Teris village. Avoiding the lit areas, she crept into Corin’s hut. He was still awake studying. “You get it?” He asked, not looking up. Vin, annoyed by his distracted tone, slammed the piece onto the table. Corin, finally looking up, noticed the pattern on the wood and jumped out of his chair. “That’s the last one?” He asked. Vin nodded. “Vin, we have to get rid of this. Now.” “No. Wait for Kal.” She responded. “Where’d he get off too?” “Somewhere out distracting the constables.” “Are you kidding me? You didn’t just take the bracer?” “Look at it. When you yank a twenty-kilo hunk of wood out of a manor on the other side of Elendel and throw it across the city, let me know. Because I’ll have you know it wasn’t easy. There wasn’t time to pull it out after it crashed on the floor.” Corin walked over, picked up the piece and threw it into the fire. “Now, hopefully, we won’t get caught.” Vin just silently nodded, lips pulled into a thin line, spun around and left. (To be continued)

I don't see what would be unnatural to be a Lurcher. The difference is in your style really. If you were in a big city, everyone is right. You could basically swing like Spiderman. Correct me if ironpulling works differently than I am thinking, but I would pull on many different things at once, distributing my weight as to not break my anchors, and adjust what and how hard I am pulling in order to control my direction. One thing to keep in mind is that an Iron Compounder could pull with their allomantic strength, dump all of their weight into their ironmind, and balance their metalminds. In doing so they can effectively launch several times as high as a normal Lurcher. I don't understand the exact nuances, but I think they would be able to jump the height of a city wall using my lampost method. Currently, I am writing a story about an Iron Compounder, a Bendalloy/Iron Twinborn, and an Steel/Iron Twinborn, and an Electrum Compunder. The Iron Compounder and the Steel/Iron Twinborn work together all the time to basically do what Mistborn do. Edit: Here is that one:

One thought would be to use a canon to start. And even if you didn't swing in the air like spiderman, you could have a sort of gliding jump using lampposts to launch into the air and then use other objects to travel the direction you want to go. On your way back down, you adjust your weight and land running. At the next lamppost, you repeat the process.

The Primary numbers for this whole Dimensional Cluster are multiples of three, exceptions are on a base ten system.

Also included in this, I want to create a secondary writing system using a runic alphabet. The primary alphabet is as follows: A B C Ĉ D E F G Ĝ H Ĥ I J Ĵ K L M N O P R S Ŝ T U Ŭ V Z. I want it to be all straight lines with no curves. Like the Norse runes ᛒ ᛟ ᚱ and ᛋ for inspiration. I haven't the slightest clue how to start though. I want the runes to mean something specific as well, unlike primary alphabet. I also want all of the runes to take up around the same space. Help Needed!

Interestingly enough, I was already doing something similar to Sanderson's Cosmere when my uncle recommended his books. These magic systems have been in development since before 2012. I would love feedback on them as well as help developing them. They are going with my book in which I will be updating here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oeK4AxpkNUyvqBSKWEsgF5It1UVW-CwOJLPgB25eeZ0/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wtE_ZUdepTOPPnLFtsUHWR9kHnG5pSm-tfco8yGcvhA/edit?usp=sharing I realize they need better charts and to be put into words.

Knowing the effort that goes into projects like these, what did it take to make this and how hard was it?

Thanks, I will post more when I have the next chapter ready. Technically I have it written, but I'm going to rewrite it.

I actually have about sixteen chapters written, but several are a mess right now and almost don't fit as I have changed so much. Thanks though.

I thought I put it in the creator's corner. How do I do that?

Prologue I watched the worlds. Out here I could see everything. He was getting closer to his goal. He moved them like pawns. The only value he saw was the value of the power the they held. He didn’t care for the individual, nor for the bond which they each had. The souls of those he killed appeared on this side in a flash. I sighed, multiplying and sending my duplicates to talk to them for the time before they moved on. On Earth, his minion was approaching my child. On Terra, my child, newly orphaned, was running to Guidance. Gravity was following him protectively. Poor children. I thought. I need to help them. It was time to intervene. Something I tried to avoid. It was dark. Kilo was alone. His parents had died three years ago. Murdered in the night. He was sent to a foster home, but the kids made one thing clear. He would never fit in. Since then he had been running. Always moving. Never stopping. Whenever he stopped weird things would happen. Like just recently when running from some robbers, he ran straight through a six foot thick glass wall (though his clothes didn’t follow). And the time before that, he had surrounded by a gang. He struggled to see that he was still sane after this incident. He fought them all separately, yet at the same time. Disorienting as it was for him, they were just as confused, then unconscious. Things happened, in the meantime. He had started to learn things. Recently, he realized that those weird things that happened were caused by him, and he was going to find out why. He had heard that some people have special abilities, so tonight he would meet someone to help him understand how to feel and use his abilities. I shouldn’t trust him. He thought. He hid in the darkness waiting. I need an escape route. He scanned the area. The street to the left was clear. The dumpster provided a good visual and hiding spot. The blend of soup, fat, grease, and alcohol constricted his throat though. The silhouette of a man shrouded in an old cloak marked the man he was to meet. They were the gifted, the hidden gods. Kilo crawled out of the dumpster. "Are you Kilo?” The man asked. Kilo noded. “First drink this,” he insisted. Kilo took the liquid as if trying to decide if it’s worth it. Making up his mind, he drinks it. Whoah. He blinks. In front of Kilo a boy stood. Looking like he was going to do something. Kilo reached and touched the shoulder of the other boy. Both boys collapse. "Uh-oh, that was not supposed to happen.” Andy ran. There was nothing left for him. All the work for his parents to hide him was in vain. They eventually found and killed them. He had narrowly escaped. He ran past the border of Silver Forests. The border mattered no more. He was done. He was almost to the river. Why? He asked himself. It was my fault. He thought. If I had stayed quiet they wouldn’t have taken them. If only I could control the nightmares. The nightmares. They scared him. Horrible torture devices. They burned him in the night. The worst part was whatever injury he had in the nightmare, would be there in the morning. He’d been burned, arms dislocated, frostbite, skin rashes. And some much more painful ones. He approached the river. It was glowing. Perfect. He thought. There will be no trace left of me. Not that anyone would care. He had no friends, his parents were dead. There was nothing left for him. Gravity is too dangerous anyway. It was true. He looked at the symbol on the inside of his wrist. Lines curving in arcs from all directions towards the point in the middle. They had this effect of drawing the observer in. Just like Gravity. He had already discovered his ability. It was uncontrollable. It usually resulted with him sprawled on the ceiling. One time he had ventured out of the house when this happened. That was a disaster. He had flown up to the top of the atmosphere and was standing on the dome of the sky. The planet between the sky. The planet was huge! And then he fell. Down became down again. Smacking the water at a speed that should have killed him. Again, his gravity saved him. Internally holding him together. He had lost a couple fingers and a foot, smashed, but they had regrown. His dad had passed that trait on to him. It had only made the nightmares worse when he had discovered this. That had only been a year ago when he flew. He had tried to control it but he couldn’t. He was done. He was a nobody, no one cared about him. He was about to jump, when a hand lighted on his shoulder. He collapsed, paralyzed. He couldn’t move. There was just blackness. Well, that’s one way to go. He thought. Then he blacked out.

I am just starting to write and I wanted people to give me feedback on my book. Is this the right place to do that?
