  1. I think that it can only be made deliberately using Preservation's power (like when the Lord Ruler makes mistborn). So when towards his end Preservation gets relatively dumb and weak (like how he accidentally make the mist snapping kill some people) he can't or doesn't think to make more. Or he might not have wanted to for some reason. Like it required him to lose a lot of mist since it's solid or he didn't want Ruin to be able to get someone to hide it (like the Lord Ruler did to Ruin). Harmony probably also doesn't want to for some reason.
  2. All wail me, bringer of strange!
  3. Waffle Cook is an esteemed position on Scadrial. Actually, I'm not really sure how high ranking Waffle Cooks are on Scadrial but I'm guessing they're above Pancake Chef and below Bacon Masters.
  4. Why is Skaa above Darkeyes?
  5. All I want to know is why Skaa is above Darkeyes on the community reputation ranking. You'd think it'd be opposite since Skaa are (or were) often slaves or beggars while Darkeyes often owned their own houses and were actuall paid workers. Plus even Darkeyed slaves got payed (even if it was just a pittance).
  6. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in my entire life..... No, just kidding that's fine. I'm wrong. I mostly just like to argue.
  7. This theory is more of a "wouldn't it be funny if....." thing anyway. Although I do stand by my belief that The Lopen is more than just a squire.
  8. Exactly
  9. Also the rest of Bridge 4 look up to Kaladin as their leader and as a "Knight Radiant" while with Lopen it's more like (or I feel this way anyway) he's part of Bridge 4 and Kaladin is his boss and he can glow which is cool but he's also his friend and equal.
  10. Don't get me wrong Lopen is great. He's probably my favorite character. I just don't feel like he's a squire.
  11. Yes and I considered that but he said some of them were glowing and it never really seemed like Lopen was a squire. For one thing he wasn't in Bridge 4 as long as a lot of the other ones were and he didn't carry the bridge or learn how to use a spear so he wasn't one of "Kaladin's men" as much as the rest of them. Also, Lopen wasn't there when it happened (he was helping watch Elhokar at the time) so if it was something that started or unlocked during the battle he probably wouldn't have been affected by it.
  12. So my entire theory is this: The day before Lopen succeeds in breathing in Stormlight, a spren is watching Elhokar about to bond him and Lopen tries and fails to breath Stormlight. Then he's like "What were those Oaths Kaladin talked about?" Then he says the first Oaths (and maybe the second one for whatever order it is, or a truth if it's a Cryptic) and this makes the spren bond him. Basically the point is him bonding a Spren was a complete accident.
  13. Hello! Um.... I exist? I'm not sure what exactly I'm supposed to do here..... I've read The Way of Kings, Words of Radiance, Warbreaker, Mistborn up to Shadows of Self, and a couple of Brandon's short stories. My favorite is probably The Way of Kings.
  14. Oh! I forgot that they took control of a couple at a time just to help them scare the rest. Thanks....... Wait so why was Vin surprised when she found out the original allomancers could do it by themselves? I'm fairly certain she "discovered" this after taking over a lot of Koloss with Elend.
  15. So what I'm confused about is why Elend can't take control of Koloss without duralumin and making them afraid. Shouldn't he be able to do it with just regular emotional allomancy? I remember at some point Vin found out that the original allomancers could do it and Elend ate the same make-a-mistborn-metal that supposedly gave them allomancy. Plus they talk about how strong he is compared to the recent mistborn. Has he just never tried to do it "by himself"?
