  1. According to Hasina, all Spren are Change Spren. (But what does she know) Alright, fair enough. Then we have rotspren (show up around rotting or infected things, but I think these are subspren) and decayspren ( Syl says something about how the apothecary guy looks like a decayspren in disguise). Maybe each true Spren has a subspren cousin (like honor and wind Spren).
  2. @Catladyman read Mistborn
  3. You mean like Ruin?
  4. Remember it's "Shshsh" not "Shshshsh". Come on, really guys.
  5. Maybe it just means writing in general. Edit: Or maybe language
  6. Yeah, sorry. I take several minutes editing my posts so a lot of times people reply to something while I'm still writing mine.
  7. I think this just means that he could have been an Edgedancer. No one ever said someone can't have the potential for more than one Order.
  8. Yeah, that. And I'm pretty sure that's almost exactly how Ym described his.
  9. Lift asked Stump if she had a viney Spren (Cultuvation Spren) following her around and she said no, but that there was a Spren that looked like.... (I don't remember exactly how she worded it but) she described it almost exactly how Ym described his. ( I think it was described as looking like light shining through a stained glass window)
  10. No, Stump and Ym had the surge of Progression but their Spren were not Cultivationspren. This means they had to have been Truthwatchers.
  11. Laborspren?
  12. Yeah, alright. I guess my problem is that any time Syl says anything I imagine her saying it in the loudest, most dramatic way possible. That's just how I think of Syl.
  13. Maybe Moelach just brings them back to life for a bit. So they die and "see" stuff (like everyone supposedly does) and then Moelach (for some reason) brings them back to life for a few seconds. Maybe this is why Jasnah saw the people on the ship disappear immediately: they came back briefly. Maybe it's been happening to everyone but only some people actually "see" words. They can't say a picture.
  14. My dog wasn't out of control when it bit them (hypothetically), it legitimately thought it was protecting me from a bad guy. That doesn't mean it wasn't dumb of him.
  15. But when a dog bites someone you (most people) don't immediately put it down. You do however, get it to stop before it hurts them more.
  16. It's so Kaladin can feel more sad because his four year old sister is a better surgeon than him. Kaladin's starting to feel entirely too happy.
  17. I thought it was pretty great. Syl might not like it though.... I can imagine her yelling "No! Bad Kaladin! Down! Down boy!"
  18. We have latex gloves. Cloth or silk gloves would make it really hard to accurately wield a scalpel whereas latex would not. Not to mention the germiness of cloth/ silk gloves.
  19. These are the comments I put on the Oathbringer sample chapters page on Tor's website: I wouldn’t be too surprised if Lirin had been training her since birth. Maybe he was desperate to produce a surgeon after both his sons left and so he gave his infant daughter a scalpel and started teaching. So now we have Mara, the (at most) four and a half year old sergeon. But he kept her training secret the first few years and got her to pretend to be bad. He accidentally slipped and said that she had been trained for “a few years” when he should have said “a couple of years”. and: Something else that supports my theory is that when Mara was born Lirin knew that he would have to train his daughter to be an expert surgeon before she had to start covering her safe hand (since as someone before mentioned, silk/cloth gloved hands are not great for surgery). What do you guys think? Edit: I guess not, oh well.
  20. Unfortunately Lopen is only a squire. I learned this the hard way (a WoB punch in the face).
  21. It's possible it's not a "fabrial" as in a Spren trapped in a gemstone. It might be different. Or..... Bands of Mourning spoilers
  22. It only covered 70 something percent here.... I feel like I live in Shinovar. No Spren for me.
  23. @Toaster Retribution you're actually wrong because aluminum stores Identity and it doesn't need to not have Connection to be able to be used by other people. But, I'm guessing you just got Identity and Connection confused. Otherwise you're right.
