  1. Parshendi (Listeners) usually use heavy weapons like axes. On the other hand, the spear is a usual weapon of war among the Alethi darkeyed soldiers. Therefore, it's difficult to prove that those are Kaladin's men.
  2. Thanks. I had no idea that there are Ruin-possessed Inquisitors running around here. I'm referring to you, @Darkness Ascendant
  3. I have been wondering for some time why the Shards have not been working with one another in order to defeat Odium. I mean, if even opposites like Ruin and Preservation could work together, then why didn't Devotion and Dominion do the same to each other. Even though we might think that it's because their nature might have prevented them from working together (which I doubt because of the Ruin/Preservation example), then what about Honor and Cultivation? We also know that Shards can travel to other systems and planets. Why don't the others all travel to Roshar and deal with Odium once and for all. I think that some tag team or triple tag team Shard action might end him for good.
  4. Lol. We understand. Actually, I think you managed to get a lot of important answers from him.
  5. I really like this WoB. It seems to imply that Vivenna is currently on Roshar. This might give us the opportunity to find out whether anybody from Nalthis can use the investiture present on Roshar, if that can be done only by the Returned. If she's really on Roshar, it will mean that she is a Worldhopper. Is she also a member of the 17th Shard?
  6. Very tasty! Thanks!
  7. Yeah. We are talking about the same thing. I do want one of those.
  8. You very legitimate concerns, but I think that having other authors write his books will take away the Brandon Sanderson feel from his books. This, I think, is a very important part of why fans love his books. I actually wish that some authors will allow him write some of their books.
  9. Pattern totally killed it here.
  10. You are right about Eshonai. But there is a faction among the Parshendi (Venli and her scholars) who wish for the return of Voidbringers. This faction will working against humanity's survival. Also, remember that Parshmen are somewhat different from Parshendi. We don't yet know what they really think about Odium and Voidbringers.
  11. I agree with your theory that the Knight Radiant is a Releaser (Dustbringer). Concerning your 4th reason, I think that since all Knights Radiant have Shardblades (except maybe Bondsmiths), they are all capable of fighting Thunderclasts, though, the more battle-oriented should have an easier time. Also, the KR did not expect the spren to have an escort. The escort was what became a Thunderclast. Therefore, we can assume that the KR did not expect to fight a Thunderclast.
  12. I'm confused right now. Are we both talking about the same thing? Please, can you explain what your 'cookies' mean.
  13. Yeah, I know. The theories are all well thought out. I can see that we have many smart people here. Of course, that should be obvious to everybody. We are the fans of Brandon Sanderson after all.
  14. Dad: Son, I heard that you've been lashing out at everyone around you. It's not good. You've got to change. Me: Dad, I'm a Windrunner. It's what we do.
  15. The Everstorm has arrived. Parshmen who come in contact with it will turn into Voidbringers. From what we know about the previous desolations, we can anticipate much death and destruction. Despite this obvious danger, Rosharan governments don't seem like they intend to do something proactive to prevent the ubiquitous Parshmen from becoming Voidbringers. Take for example the Azish imperial decree: In my opinion, this decree will actually speed up the transformation process. I mean, the Parshmen are practically being offered up to the Everstorm. According to some of Jasnah's Philosophy schools of thought, killing all the Parshmen before they turn will be the right thing to do. On the other hand, the Knights Radiant, who have great influence on Roshar, have contrary opinions on matters of this nature. This is well shown in their First Ideal: So, what do you think?
  16. Did anyone else notice that Jasnah isn't covering her safe hand? Isn't that like a taboo among the Alethi? I would really like to know how that came about. I bet it would be so interesting! I so can't wait for the book to be released!
  17. Thanks for the heads up. Too bad, I really love cookies
  18. A couple of hours after I had finished moving my things into the new house I bought since I'd lost the previous one to a tornado, there was a knock on the door. I opened the door and saw a couple. This conversation followed: Me: Hello. Couple: (Smile) Hi! We are your next door neighbors, Mr & Mrs High and Ever Storm! I fainted.
  19. I have been reading so many posts on the 17th Shard forum. So, I said to myself, 'Why don't you sign up and join in the fun?'. And so I did. Anyway, I just want to let you all know that I'm here. I'm so excited! Ciao!
