We’re planning the mechanisms right now. We don’t know how we’re going to play it (I assume a Discord channel, or maybe a thread here) but that’s far off in the future.

I don’t think I can sign up, and in the case that my earlier post got buried, I’m posting the same thing again. The mechanics sound cool, but I don’t have a lot of time to participate in it (I have a bit more free time due to losing in the LG, but more stuff is coming up). Can I get a spec link?

Can I get a link to the spec doc? I can’t play but want to watch and discuss it.

Dbec had seen the others. They openly talked of his need to go. His plans accounted for that, however. He left to his hideout in the middle of the city. Once there, he gave his skaa their instructions. He would stay here until the day passed. He had taught them well. He had only taken a few days, and they knew the alphabet. I can’t do much more before turnover.

Ok. So if I don't do this now, I don't think I can reduce the number of votes on me. I've tried before and I think this is the only window in which I can do something. I've got atium, and I think no one else does. I'm pretty sure that no one else can do anything but lynch me now.

Well I have a possible secret to reveal next Night if you don’t kill me. But if I get a vote train I’ll reveal the secret. I also am planning on the full Heatherlocke win too. So either don’t vote or vote heavily. But don’t leave me standing here, other SE players! RP below if I edit it in:

I’m not dead yet! And thus we see the violence inherent in the system. ...No more quotes that I can think of are relevant—Aaaahh!

I probably won’t be able to RP in time for turnover, but let it be known that: Dbec is still training his skaa I have been part of the group in Heatherlocke that is trying to stop stuff. However, I was roleblocked when I tried that, and afterward tried to use Skaa to mine Atium. I haven’t gotten anything to happen yet.

NO! ...I was PM'ed by Stick last night...and I didn't respond in time. I could have voted on Mafia and kept attempting the no-death win... I'm sorry, Stick. I have few excuses. This round, though--I will do my best to prevent further bloodshed. I mean, if dying to a kandra doesn't shed any blood, then it's not bloodshed, right? Dbec paced around the room. Over the last day, he had talked to many skaa and gotten their rumors. The few that were coherent, he had brought here. The intent was to train them to be servants in his house, but also to be spies. There wasn't much else to do with his time, and what could it hurt? If they got killed while out spying, they couldn't be traced back to him. Dbec had never told them his name, and they shouldn't be able to recognize his face. They were only skaa, and Dbec knew that the sight of a noble drew attention to the clothes, and not to the face. Because often, looking a noble in the eye meant bad things. Rebellion. Pride. Lack of fear. So there wasn't any chance of getting repercussions for this. At least, Dbec hoped...

Noooo Drought! Well, you went out with style. Dbec sat in the streets, listening to skaa. They all told different stories of what was happening. One said that Locke was never real, but just a front put up by some of the lower House Tormander members. This was the only rumor that even held a bit of significance. It hinted towards an infiltration of kandra. The coalition was still going strong. Of course, he only heard it from a skaa. A raving one at that, whose sentences varied in grammar. However, Dbec could teach him literacy in his own alphabet, the one he used to change his name. It was far superior to the Steel Alphabet, having 26 characters that varied in shape, rather than a few distinct characters that also symbolized metals. After all, if the plan went according to plan, Dbec would have to plan for a decrease in House members, who had planned to exit House Heatherlocke. So he would have some recruiting to do.

Just two hours. Get your orders in. Hoping none of those orders are to kill me...But that’s the point of the game! So yeah, go for it. I don’t know whether we will come close to the kandra plan, but I’m telling you all who are thinking—it’s probably a good idea.

Whoah, I think Fifth Scholar raised some good points there. But Straw started the accusations. Let me just say that I do not want to be killed by Koloss, but I also think... Well actually I’ll stay on the down-low. I’m not going to vote anything but No-Lynch (sorry; I’m on mobile) if still possible.

Well, looks like I will not be able to fully pinpoint who attacked whom. However, that’s okay, because I’m not one for analysis. Because I’m not very good at it regardless. How’s about we try to not kill anyone in the Day Cycle, eh? A little compromise with the non-kandra-ing people. I think since we’ve got a pattern (with one data point on each Cycle, so maybe two points) going, maybe we should keep it.

Dbec walked the streets, for no apparent reason. He considered the efforts among the houses to form a truce, but he suspected there would be some backstabbing. However, to show his support for the truce, he went outside where he could be...Well, there wasn't much of a reason for it. He had nothing to fear from his own House, but he had decided that some fresh, ashy air would be more comfortable than the confines of mansions. He considered visiting another House, talking to them and strengthening their resolve to keep a truce. Yesterday, there had been some loud arguments in which those calling for an alliance argued the loudest. Hopefully that sentiment would hold up during the night--and perhaps Dbec could help, by making it to another House in peaceful safety. Yes, yes, that would work. He considered his options, and went to House Tormander. The negotiations could prove fruitless, but they could also save many nobles. While the heirs may not actually inherit anything, they would definitely live. Considerations had to be made, but Dbec could handle them. Better than his fool relative Walin, that is.

Yes! No lynches! Hopefully no one gets killed tonight, or this will be an SE game and not a pressure-filled fest of game theory and RP.

Hey, I think maybe the Kandra plan has merit. After all, while it is a bad idea to optimize the fun out, it is optimizing. It’s a test to see how long we can hold out against impatience, so I suggest some people who are thinking they will get bored, to... set up some tied lynches *hopes that this will get a bunch of votes on self to tie out Droughtbringer’s votes, and not too many or no votes. Certainly not retractions of votes (hoping that the reverse bait in that last phrase and this parentheses-phrase doesn’t work to retract votes (I’m serious with what I’m saying) from me). Hopes that doesn’t happen*

I may join as Walin, on the condition that my death scene is being sent to the Pits of Hathsin. Or Dbec, the younger nephew of Walin who changed his name so as to not share any letters with that traitor. Walin had done something to deserve the punishment of the Pits of Hathsin, and Dbec had yet to find out what it was. Dbec would be the first of his family to reach a House Lord position. This is why he chose a name consisting of the first few letters of the alphabet, excluding "a," which was in the name "Walin." Dbec may be a little too sane for his name, because I'm not good at rp'ing and won't be able to represent his insanity well enough. But I might, who knows. I'll also be pretty busy, so I may not participate very much in this. So if more than 25 total people are signed up, I'll take a spec doc.

It’s really good. The romance arc is pretty good, with foreshadowing and unforeseen elements that were surprising. The main plot arc is also really good, but has its criticisms. Such as, “Raoden isn’t that cool. He just does cool stuff.” And, “Sarene is just too competent.” And, “Hrathen just can’t get any more cool, can he?” I guess those aren’t criticisms. I think it’s because Elantris is my favorite book.

I think that it will be revealed in Era 4. By that time Hoid’s goals will be finished, and Hoid decides to eat some bacon. This will be the way to know if he has reformed Adonalsium: if it tastes like Top Ramen, or Cup of Noodles. I can’t tell which will tell what. Oh you guys were talking about the God Beyond. Yeah, Brandon’s probably going to stay ambiguous on that forever. There’s a wob that he wants it to be ambiguous whether there even is one.

Help! I Have A Couple of Ideas...
Walin replied to BasementDwellingRadiant's topic in Sanderson Fan Works
The first one is a good concept. I think it would be cool to hear that more expanded; I'm more of a person who likes speculative summaries (if they're AU's) so I would wait for someone else's opinion. The second one isn't for me, but others may like it. Welcome to the Shard! -
(A short summary of the spoiler'ed bit in Part 12: Wilsoon got inside a storage cabin, saw a pair of attackers enter the room and start searching barrels for captives, and hid inside a volleyball to avoid detection. Getting inside required removing all the stuffing and ripping a small hole in the stitching. Other than that, the volleyball was mostly intact. The attacker left the room in a rush after finishing the search.) Part 13 The ship rocked. Hidden inside the leather ball as he was, there was nothing to do but wait. Water filled the cabin, and he realized that something must have severely damaged the ship. A loud report sounded outside, and the water had started to trap Wilsoon against the ceiling. He pushed out a small tendril, pulling himself along the ceiling. Then, he realized that he couldn't see, and didn't have time to look around before he'd have to breathe. He took a breath from the rapidly diminishing pocket of air above him, and began a short quest to find the exit. He emerged from the sinking ship, letting the waves carry him as he attempted to retain sanity with a dangerously low body mass. After a few hours, he came into contact with a small fish that had come to the surface looking for...food, probably. Wilsoon eagerly devoured it, letting the extra mass float beside the contained leather. It took another few hours to learn how to create gills from the fish, and after making such, Wilsoon allowed himself to fall unconscious. He awoke on sand, and quickly he realized he was on an island large enough for humans. With that in mind, he made an ear and an eye, checking for any observers. When he found none, he looked for some cover. There was a forest nearby, which he eagerly scurried towards. Or, rather, attempted to. Sand was...not conducive to movement. ------------

Part 12 Wilsoon ate some food, studied his objectives for the journey, and tried to stay inconspicuous for the rest of the day. Considering that most of his optional objectives would be pretty suspicious behavior, much of Wilsoon’s time was spent talking with other passengers and trying to figure out their backstory and reasons for going on the journey. Most were scholars, or investors with a heavy interest in their cargo. They gave some information worth learning, but what was most important to Wilsoon was learning their mannerisms. This he could do easily and non-suspiciously, and allowed him to actually be entertained on the ship. It wasn’t until the afternoon that yet another fire started, this time with all of the passengers awake to see it. Judging by a couple of posts’ positions in relation to the fire, Wilsoon noticed that this new “accident” had happened in the same place. And people weren't putting it out, but running around in circles and evading others who looked intent on attacking them. Oh, it's mutiny. I wonder what happened to raise tensions so quickly. Wilsoon noted that he seemed detached from the situation; humans were likely to panic in such a situation, thus placing Wilsoon as an oddity on the deck. This...is probably not a good place to stand. Could I get back downstairs or something...? Turning around, Wilsoon was distracted from the action once he saw the captain. The captain looked determined and unfazed at the amount of action happening all around, running in a relatively straight line through the battle and dodging attacks as they came. Once the captain got near the prow of the ship, the door broke open away from the captain, seeming to push back despite there being no contact. The captain is definitely a Coinshot, Wilsoon thought, when he got pushed into a hole in the deck. He'd been standing still this whole time. Part 12 continues here, but with a PG-13, or Mistborn R, rating (and as of now I haven't finished that part yet). ------------- This chapter is where the action begins, but it's also really hectic with so little explanation of surroundings that you're not really sure what's happening. This could be said to be intentional, but the truth is that I don't know how to write and describe the surroundings without disrupting the tone and pacing more so than I did with the description of the captain's actions. Basically, what happens here is a couple of people who got spiked with Trellium, or had spikes they didn't notice before. Anyways, they got taken over by Trell and tried to take over the ship before the captain figured out what was happening. In the meeting in the last chapter, the captain hadn't swallowed any steel, and hadn't converted any nicrosil medallions to power steel Allomancy to really make sure whether someone had spikes. This is what happened when scanning Wilsoon, by the way--the captain had used nicrosil Feruchemy to give a short boost to steel, to determine whether the spikes weren't just objects lodged inside Wilsoon. Lastly, the objective Wilsoon was working on in this chapter was preparation for Number 10. This is the second to last bit before it's really Castaway. Thanks again for reading this, everybody, and I hope to write the story well once it gets to the main part.
