  1. I came out of the shadows again, on the hunt for clues. I needed to start an investigation on the side into this religion. It was no minor thing, having collapsed the Duladel republic. However, they kept talking about converts. I needed to know whether they were discussing true converts, or those who wore a medallion to become Derethi. According to my observations, it seemed like only 3 converts were active, and that it was likely that at least one of them was only due to wearing one of those medallions. Furthermore, the head derethi priest- the gyorn- might not be one of the three. Hopefully, if I could track down some of the more knowledgeable Derethi, I could get something on these Jeskeri. They would probably need a bit of... incentive to help me out, but I'm not above getting in the mud to track down these guys. You can't clean this kind of stuff up without getting dirty. Trying to do so without getting dirty means nothing gets done.
  2. The Bush made a good point- along with an incentive. I took the hint, and disappeared back into the shadows.
  3. I listened on the street. All the chatter seemed to be about this new religion in town- Shu-Dereth. Why in the name of Domi were they only concerned with a religion, instead of the murderous cult? It smelled suspicious to me, of redirection and lies.
  4. You know what? I kind of want to mess around writing Noir. Elantris Noir- Murder of a priest. So, from now on, I’ll be trying to put my game thoughts in RP. I might give up in the middle, but it should make this fun. I swished from spot to spot, using Aon Bob to keep in the darkness. The moon was bright overhead. I soon stood outside the priest’s place. I knew I had to find the murderers, extort them, and turn them in for a nice reward on top. A man has gotta live, and I learned long ago that making friends gets you nowhere. A look around the scene of the crime turned up a scrap of evidence that hadn’t been noticed. A bit of fabric, nice stuff. But unusual in its harsh pattern of colors. Either these Jeskeri had been stealing top quality cloth from the royal clothers, or some mighty rich people were involved in this conspiracy. Typical. Rich people had nothing better to do besides be corrupt and join nasty cults. I pulled up my coat, and headed outside to find a contact who could give me a bit more on this scrap of cloth.
  5. Hm then maybe we should use our amulets systematically. They can act as mild scan actions on players we are suspicious of. Because Jesker amulets don't work on Jeskers, and Shu Dereth doesn't work on the Gyorn, we should save them for that.
  6. Bob. My name is Bob. The only Aon I can use is Aon Bob- Aon of speed. The Dames really like Aon Bob. It was a dark night and I was wearing my trench coat and hat. But a body- a priest was found. It’s up to me and my Aon Bob to solve the crime. I have no idea if I’ll do something with this or not.
  7. When you put yourself to sleep trying to puzzle out the odd names of Hoid, and what it could mean for the cosmere
  8. I had a brief moment of confusion at my character name, and then was like oh. Yes, I am Bob.
  9. I Explained it my spirit web thread, and in here. Essentially, it’s the difference between throwing investiture at something and directly hooking into the spirit web. A metalmind is connected to a persons spiritweb, and at that point investiture can be put in around the block, because it’s going into the web itself, rather than at the aluminum as a whole, which rejects investiture. It’s like a balloon with no hole, but if you bring it to you and poke a hole, you can fill it up. Not the best metaphor, but it makes sense in my head.
  10. Am I still the only one who thinks this makes sense? I think the mechanic of directly accessing the spirit web makes sense of using aluminum.
  11. Hm... I’ve seen a WoB somewhere that Hoid had interesting relationships with some of the Sho Del... I wonder if he was ever in a relationship with one of those.
  12. “My breath to you, my breath become yours,” The man whispered urgently. Breath left him, and entered Steel. The room popped into even more color than it had before. He had probably just achieved 6th heightening. “Now go.” The man was shaking, terrified. Steel turned to leave, and then stopped. “If you go to Urithiru, you could find safety.” The man pulled out a gun. “I’ll be safe as soon as you leave.” So Steel left. - - - Hallendren truly was beautiful. Steel gazed on the city from above, having visited all three addresses. All three families had been terrified. This man was cruel, and only he had the ability to stop him. He had made his decision. He would not awaken the lightning. He was going to take Eobard down. He would be on Roshar, of course. The realms were closest together there. Phyl came up to him. “Perhaps we should run.” Steel shook his head. “I was given this speed for a reason. I was returned for a reason. I need to stop him. But I can’t let him hurt anyone. So I need to find him.” He scrunched his face, thoughtful. “Perhaps the spren will know more.” Phyl vined her way onto Steel, because it was harder for her to keep up now. And then with a CRACK, Steel left. A blur of color was all one could see. - - - Well since I didn’t manage to finish my RP half decently, it will return! Someday I’ll get around to writing a conclusion
  13. As much as I want to join the game to add another player, I’m bad with QFs. I’ll spectate.
  14. You know that feeling when you’re wearing a sharp new suit and the song “Feelin’ good” by Buble pops into your head? Yeah.
  15. We have high quality reusable bags here at my store. They will last a long time if you treat them half decently. And yes, paper is the most annoying to find, open, and then trying to fit it in a plastic bag? WHY ARE YOU TRYING JUSTIFY THIS?
  16. No, but reusable bags are better! Plastic is fine. Paper I hate, but I’ll deal with. But paper and plastic is just stupid. Reusable bags do the same thing infinitely better- and they’re reusable! BAH
  17. Hecka yeah. I bought tickets the day they came out.
  18. Quick thing- Taln is mine.
  19. Paper and plastic. Like, if you’re going to get paper and you plastic, why don’t you just get a reusable bag? Bah
  20. Hehe. I’m steel, the steel inquisitor
  21. My mom brought back my time limits, and the girl I asked to prom is being uncooperative with scheduling going to see infinity war. I mean seriously, I told her way in advance, and she sounded like she wanted to go. WHY IS SHE BEING SO STUBBORN GAH
